That's the spirit! Didn't read the instructions, huh? -
Thanks for being the voice of reason Kim. I'd like to asure everyone that every pic from 1999 to 2002, and some beyond, are all original/non-stock photos.

The webteam at LEGO Billund are working on getting one. I don't want to break down my builds so I'm working on getting the sets to help promote the game. Give it a go anyway. I can't go into any detail but it might be worth your while to have an attempt anyway. -

I didn't quote you by accident. You seemed concerned about damaging the book to get the minifig out. To let anyone who wanted one but didn't want to damage their book or buy extra copies know that there was another way of getting them. But I didn't want to come straight out and start selling in this thread, but seeing as this side-topic has got so much attention: I've got 3 Throne Room Lukes to sell. PM me if you are interested. I wasn't bragging, I was trying to help.
-
No, books do go out of print. But there is now an on-demand publishing machine starting to appear in bookshops that might prevent that: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/art...s.html?ITO=1490 I have Throne Room Luke minifigs which are extraneous to my collection. Hence I used the word "spare"and "minfig"in the same sentance so that those forum members who were discussing getting extra copies of the book so they could have duplicates or custom fodder were aware. What's confusing about that?
-
That was purely on my recommendation to DK, who had put them in the movie timeline groups. My arguement was that since they were not in the films they were outside of Lucas's canon universe. I guess since it went through approvals with both Lucasfilm and LEGO Group and didn't get rejected you might consider it as official as it is going to get. But if you don't agree you can blame me. I've got spares of the minfig :)

Actually it is made from the 2009 sets, so you could just go to your local toy shop. Or even use LEGO Factory. -
Well, it won't be more than RRP.
-
The UCS line from when it originally came out. I only started with it when the CLoud City set was released and I had to work back from there. A couple of lucky finds netted me a MISB Yoda, Maul and RBR for retail in 2006, when I was also in the US for a holiday so I picked up Vader's TIE and the AT-ST. But I'm still trying to find the UCS X-Wing for a reasonable price.

What is a "gliches"? Do you mean glitch? -
But how did the fuzzy picture by Roxio (above) make a difference? Or did he PM you?
-
?!? There have been pics of the minifig up on Jedinews for over a month !?!
-
On a general note I like this concept, and Í'd be behind LEGO Group if they chose to release these as an impluse set. Being more specific, these builds are nice little MOCs. Congrats to you. But I'm a little confused about the reference to the "mini death star" by Big Cam.
-
And push the price of the book up by 50%?
-
Very interesting technique. What about Force Tempest? Tempest is a word for strong and uncontrollable storm.
-
Thatnks for pointing that out. I suppose only Palpatine knew him as Darth Vader from the point of his conversion. Obi-Wan certainly didn't, and called him Anakin on Mustaphar. Which would mean LEGO would call him Anakin Skywalker, because unbelievably there were some people who didn't know Vader used to be Anakin Skywalker when Ep3 came out and to label the packaging with a Darth Vader minifig would be a spoiler since the set came out before ROTS. Perhaps LEGO should have given the 7257 Anakin a Sith eye paint job? Case closed. I retract my previous post.
-
Anakin wasn't a villain. Not until he turned to Darth Vader. And this minifig does not have Sith Eyes, ergo it is not Darth Vader. Sorry to be a pedant.
-
Good call. Obviously there is your mainstream villains but few ever think of the lesser baddies like Ventress, Durge, the Yuuhzan Vong, etc.
-
Whuh? The way I read this is you like Darth Vader, and next to Vader he is the best villain. That doesn't make sense to me. And Vader was in Episode III as well.

No, because Tridactyl isn't Yoda's species. It's not ANY species. If you accept that tridactyl is Yoda's species then human needs changing to pentdactyl.
-
Tridactyl just means three fingers or toes: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/tridactyl The only canon reference to Yoda's species was in a very early script, and he was described as a Whill which is where Journal of the Whills (the original title of Star Wars) referred to. But this was soon refuted by Lucas, and any background information on Yoda was redacted. The B'Omarr monks are members of a pseudo-religious order and not a species. Any lifeform (assuming they have a brain!) can join: "The order originally consisted only of Humans,[4] though in time it encompassed a great many species." http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/B%27omarr_Order
-
I was just about to post that Grievous is a cyborg and not a species anymore but you beat me to it. Not to drag this arguement on any longer, but if it helps you visualise how it works think of Arabs/Asians/Caucasians/Africans/etc - they're human right?
