  1. Infinite monkeys and infinite bricks!
  2. The original post on Rebelscum was January 17th and SvL confirmed the Resistance Transport on April13th. I don't recall that he has confirmed the V-19 though. Not sure who confirmed Snokes Throne Room though ;) The numbers are wrong but that could mean that there was a change in the release schedule.
  3. I'm surprised that no-one has jumped on the mini Cloud City we're getting with the 75213 Star Wars Advent Calendar as proof we're getting a UCS set.
  4. I'm aware what the OP was referring too. It happened over a hundred years ago when there were illiterate peasants everywhere, but this is now. Stan means "land of", nothing more. I can't see why anyone would have a problem with that. Durkadurkastan is a ficticious country which I referenced because I thought it wouldn't incite anyone.
  5. Because there are more non-SW collectors than SW collectors, and they won't know the fine details that we would expect them too. Likewise, there were more illiterate Portuguese peasants than Nobel jury members so statistically the appearance of a phantsm will allways occur before the majority - educated or not. Though I do find this example a bit xenophobic. Perhaps we can say peasants from Durkadurkastan instead? On the first point, that is an exageration. On the second point, I have often thought the same. It wouldn't be the first time a company has used moles to plant mis/information to generate hype and conduct subtle market research.
  6. When filming scenes from A New Hope in Death Valley, Lucasfilm dressed an elephant from a Californian wildlife park to play the bantha. It's a start :D
  7. It's outrageous isn'tit? The RO buildable figs were at least $10 cheaper. Where'd you go - Dreamworld or Chadstone? I avoid spending at both because of no VIP points. If I >have< to spend direct I'll go online.
  8. I'll consider myself asked :) @MKJoshA - Rebelscum collects news the same as any other LEGO site; by sifting through piles of conversations, rumours and articles on over a dozen sites each day. Before we publish anything we try to get at least two seperate/independant sources to verify the information. If we feel we have something important and we can't verify it we always state that it is rumourand to hedge our bets. If we can verify the information we come out strong. The difference between Rebelscum and most of the other LEGO news sites is that they are RLFM and we will never gain this status, and while this means that we are at a disadvantage when official news announcements are made (we have to read about them like everyone else), it does give us more flexibility in sharing news that LEGO isn't ready to. Aside from the Resistance Shuttle/V-19 sets (which are looking to be true now) our track record is pretty good and we've been on the money in all instances, bar the Thandie Newton minifig (which we did have the two confirmed sources for but they turned out to be wrong too). UCS Falcon, UCS Y-Wing, UCS Snowspeeder and all the Solo sets were stories scooped by Rebelscum. The thirty C&D notifications and my Facebook account deactivation shows how close to the bone the LSW news that Rebelscum produces is. So "just collects rumours from around the web" is accurate... from a certain point of view.
  9. I found it in Kmart in Brisbane - $37.99 (I think). It was cheaper than LEGO.com's $44.99 RRP.
  10. Just picked up Yoda's Hut and the Imperial Patrol battlepack. Yay.
  11. Fromthe link below: "Rebelscum has received information from a credible source that 41627 in a Yoda/Luke Skywalker double pack (we don't know if this is a Dagobah or Ahch-To pairing yet) and 41629 is a Boba Fett. " Rebelscum doesn't claim that. They say: "And while the existance of 41619 Darth Vader and 41620 Stormtrooper have been confirmed through alternative means we've been left wondering and guessing about the rest, chiefly 41615 Unknown, 41624 Luke Skywalker, 41625 Princess Leia, 41627 Unknown and 41629 Unknown."
  12. Yes, its on lego.com now. It appeared about 30 mins after I posted.
  13. Yup they are. No Range Trooper BF though.
  14. May be LEGO will encorporate the Pirate Roller Coaster tracks. Unlikely but it's a thought.
  15. I know where you are coming from, but the Solo BrickHeadz are available.
  16. It's a legal requirement in many countries for coupons and free prizes to be given a nominal value.
  17. Thanks for the message you posted on Brickset about our prank. I doubt Huw will update the story to include us; Rebelscum is blacklisted by most of the RLFM sites.
  18. Yes we did. We had a number, set name and CA$ price point weeks ago. It's expected on April 9th. Oh, and the Cease & Desist letter was the real April's Fools prank. We doctored one of the many, many, many we have received from LEGO about sharing all the LSW news we can.
  19. It's how we found out about 75159 Death Star in 2016; a staff member at the Baltimore LBS started building it in the middle of the store three day before it was supposed to get announced. The 75192 Millennium Falcon got similarly outed when a LBS store in Rome put out a leftlet for October releases in the last couple of days of September. PS - we just got a C&D email for our April Fool's joke.
  20. I'm just about to break the news to my son - here goes... Raised eyebrows, big eyes and an ooooo!
  21. Yup 4:20 :D The Wookiee Weekend thing was started by JediTempleArchives.com in August last year. It was a joke. There's nothing official about it. http://www.jeditemplearchives.com/2017-09-18-would-wookiee-weekend-work-while-withstanding-wisecracks/
