  1. Try this link: http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=na...ine%3a+vignette
  2. Rich set, nice review. Good to see that LEGO Co. got the number of quad guns right this time!
  3. Nice review Kim. I know that there are a few up on Bricklink but can anyone lay their hands on one of these sets at retail for me please? PM or email (see sig) me if you can.
  4. A lot, yes, but not all. There is another book from DK coming out that'll do the job.
  5. It says "If you can read this you are too close".
  6. I meant to put OK1
  7. It's not an icon, it's just an image OKW included in his thread.
  8. LOL. You get me :)
  9. Oh wow man, now I've got a Death Star icon. Guess I must have been a good boy for long enough. Thanks Kim :) Well I'll never get one of these. It wouldn't be fair of me to enter the EB comps because I have too many opportunities through my contacts at LEGO Co.
  10. What an awesome idea for a crossover line! Are you listening LEGO Co?
  11. Freakin' sweet! I love the display stand you made. It's about time LEGO Co made a new UCS ship. I've got my fingers crossed they're inspired by your MOC.
  12. Kim said that the Death Star icon is about exemplary conduct in the Star Wars forums - being a model forum member and behaving in a manner that he approved of. I hadn't noticed the contest icon before.
  13. That's amazing! I've seen Baronsat's UCS Shuttle before and thought that he'd captured it perfectly and then you come along! Will the wings support their own weight in flight mode though? And I think the cockpit should be angled a little steeper.
  14. The answer is a version without the minifig, and was posted several pages back.
  15. Toys "R" Us in Australia did something similar, but not as attractive, with the chrome C-3PO when it got released in limited quantities over there.
  16. Very nice. The first few photos made it look like it was too large for minifig-scale so I was glad to see the shot with the battledroids. Well done!
  17. It's because I am a LEGO assembly robot.
  18. They're made of polycarbonate instead of ABS. It's not the moulding process that's the problem, but the robot that assembles the arms/torsos and legs/waists. Polycarbonate plastic is more brittle and would be less forgiving to the pressure used to insert the limbs into the body pieces.
  19. Face it, Lucasfilm has been milking SW since the Special Editions. But don't let the CW line put you off - there's still some movie sets still left undone. You could narrow your focus instead of dumping your hobby. Just because a set doesn't appeal to you doesn't make it stupid. The Midi-scale set(s?) were done for a reason and makes LEGO Star Wars more accessible. I don't know if you thought the same of the Mini line when it came out, but you bought them anyway. Which brings us back to narrowing your focus - why not just buy the sets you want? You're still a LEGO collector, but not a LEGO completist. If you've got a 7191 UCS X-Wing, or the boxes for 7142 and 7152 to sell please PM me.
  20. Awesome and hilarious at the same time.
  21. I take your point but I believe that the set contained in the instructions is the end all and be all. I've decided against modding the UCS Star Destroyer, even though it needs extra support on the hull plates.
  22. Here is the only answer you will ever need: Recipe - http://retr0bright.wikispaces.com/Retr0Bright+Gel Application - http://retr0bright.wikispaces.com/Using+Retr0Bright The gel is for use with ABS plastics only. There are a few LEGO bricks that are made from other materials such as polycarbonates and rubber but 98% of all bricks are made with ABS. Just don't use it on clear bricks (which don't yellow anyway). Incidentally this works on any colour brick, not just white.
  23. I'm confused: We know there is a set coming out in September We don't know what it is because it's a mystery We have a thread on this topic already As far as I can see this thread and the old Mystery 2009 thread are discussing the same thing, and all the posts in this thread are saying exactly the same as the original replies in the first discussion. So why do we need two? Or are you suggesting that we discuss the possibility that the mystery Q3 set is not in fact the same as the BIG secret set you are proposing? If this is the case then I'll throw in my 2cents: the mystery Q3 set IS the BIG secret set for 2009. But then I've got an inside edge. Actually I (because if you haven't already heard, I wrote the article) don't hint at that. I just state that 2010 is the 30th anniversary of TESB. Don't take any meaning into the last sentance of the article, I just added it to tease you all because I am evil
  24. Definately. Don't wait.
  25. For real? Try reading the opening posts in this thread.
