  1. Considering that a single mould costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, and the current ones would be unsuitable for casting a different type of plastic I can not see LEGO making a bunch of new moulds.
  2. The current poster offer is for the USA only. I had confirmation from LEGO a couple of weeks ago. But that's not to say that there won't be other offers in the rest of the world.
  3. It looks like it's an Action Fleet Y-Wing to me.
  4. Actually Germany is the biggest LEGO market. But you are right about American companioes getting deals. The size of these retailers means that they have large customers bases and can swing cheaper sets. It's why books on Amazon are cheaper than elsewhere - you stock more, you sell for less. Whereas fair competition legislation in Europe quite often prevents or inhibits this.
  5. I have to question why astra has linked to two Clone Walkers auctions - one is MISB and the other is loose/incomplete. Quite often sets from China don't have the boxes. Maybe that's it? Anyway the auction is gone now. Jeremy
  6. I'll answer your question if you answer mine - the LEGO brand shop in LL Windsor is pretty much the same as the one in Milton Keynes. I was there in 2005 when the ROTS line was launched and both had pretty much the same stock. One thing that Windsor has is a marque outside the gates with old stock from a couple of years ago. I got the UCS Yoda for 30 quid :) The pick-a-brick wall is in a different building in Windsor, and not in the brand store. At least it was when I was there. My question is - what is this LEGO brand store near you that stocks such old sets?
  7. Zawowee kablowee that's intense! But the cockpit doesn't have a cupholder to tasty beverages.
  8. What makes you think that? When a set is in a production run tens of thousands are assembled and boxed. When I was in Billund over 63,000 samples of one set were being produced. The statement made by LEGO is ALL 2009 sets.
  9. That's a very interesting concept, and somewhat parallel to the animated maquettes and such that other SW licensees do. If the LEGO license gets extended I could see LFL approving a similar line of sets (god forbid) as the amount of SW material dries up.
  10. I applaud what you are doing but what is the point of highlighting sets that are still available at retail?
  11. They're in the 2009 sets - which means packaged and sold in 2009. Back in 2008 when the Death Star came out the chrome Vader minifig didn't exist! Were you going to buy up pre-2009 sets, hoping to prove that time travel is possible? :D
  12. The Home One, MF and Pirate Tank are all retailer exclusives so they won't be on the standard LEGO display, but they might be at the Collector's Party - like the UCS Falcon was.
  13. Hah! I love it! Jeremy
  14. Funny, that's the first thing my eyes closed in on. Jeremy
  15. Maybe. This thread is very hard to keep track of. I checked back and couldn't find anything tho :( Jeremy
  16. Four new adult watches and four more children's watches are now available: http://threads.rebelscum.com/showflat.php?...fpart=1#2854604
  17. What has LucasArts got to do with the license? There is a Spongebog game coming according to rumour, and TT Games confirmed that they are doing a second Indy game. Anyway, this thread is morbid. It's like planning a funeral before the "guest of honour" is still young.
  18. Well you'll love it even more when the new LEGOLAND opens in Malaysia in a couple of years. I'll be in Singapore on April 3rd - anywhere good to hunt out LEGO? I'm really just after a couple of foreign catalogues, so any tips would be good.
  19. Yeah man, Judge KimT sez: I AM THE LAW! Quite rightly so, too. It's about time someone made this point. Thanks KimT. Say "local market forces" instead. It's totally true and has the added bonus of being suitably vague, yet impressively economical.
  20. I love these. The style is wicked and the build is authentic. This is my favourite of the three you posted (so I'm not going to repost in the other threads - hope you don't mind :)). Jeremy
  21. That's the regular one not the redesign. Jeremy
  22. I do collect all the boxes and am just missing the black Geonosian Fighter and AT-AT. But tthe box shown above isn't made of cardboard but pixels and there is no proof any of these were actually printed and released. So I'm not putting it on my list.
  23. I was just about to type "aww man, not another box I need to add to my list" when I realised it was a digital rendering and as such offers no proof the set actually came boxed in this. Phew!
