  1. Or even this thread which is within the thread that KimT refers to. That's where you'll find the first discussion.
  2. You are right. He also has a chine strap painted on his face. A Renz would have been nice. Barrie Holland would have been over the moon to have a Gentle Giant bust, a Hasbro 3-3/4" figure and a LEGO minifig in one year. Love the Wicket in the bottom right corner.
  3. Or is it Lt "Freeze, you Rebel scum" Renz?
  4. I agree with all your comments (especially ditto's statement that it's a waste of paper) that the size of the boxes are too big. It suprises me that LEGO, being a Danish company, is so wasteful. But Svelte Corps has hit the nail on the head: It would take a industry-wide shakepup to get things the way we'd like to see them. If LEGO was to unilaterally reduce the size of its packaging do you think MegaBlocks would dothe same? No way. They'd relish the idea that their product was more prominent on toy shop shelves. So unless everyone did the same it's not going to happen.
  5. I'd like to give Dennimator a point for conducting a safe and fair trade for a chrome Darth Vader with me.
  6. Yes he was. He was on the Death Star II. The space battle was as much part of the BoE as the skirmish at the bunker.
  7. Ah, the London one. There won't be anything there apart from the sets that came out over Christmas. I know this from experience because I've been attending it for 3 or 4 years. Toy fair that is, not Christmas! All the new 2009 sets will be saved for the US toy fair. My question is - what exclusive will be at the LEGO Collector's Breakfast? I got an invite but I can't attend because I'm visiting Billund during the last week of January.
  8. Good question. I'd like to know was well.
  9. It started about 4 weeks ago in Sweden and 2 weeks ago in the US. Have you read any of the preceeding +50 posts?
  10. The 20006 MINI CLone Turbo Tank is still going for +£20 on eBay. So if you wanted the CTT and the Venator it'd be wiser to subscribe to Brickmaster.
  11. Dude, that is ultra clever! You've put in some very nice touches, and the diorama you constructed to display it shows it to great effect. Good luck in the comp.
  12. I've got the answer to this question: Decals are applied using water or heat. Stickers are applied using an ahdhesive. So what LEGO gives us are in fact stickers.
  13. Wow, someone else has used the planet destroying superlaser in a sci-fi setting. When will the madness top? Please KimT, please close this topic.
  14. Sweet ride!
  15. The answer was only posted just before you asked your question when AFOL SF said "I visited the Lego store at Hillsdale Mall yesterday and saw this new StarWars lego magnet set. "
  16. No prob. I just got your second PM. E-mail sent.
  17. Are you sure? I haven't received a PM from you.
  18. Please PM me your email address so I can send you the photo I mentioned.
  19. I agree with KimT's appraisal. And I love the coulours - better than bley.
  20. As the earlier posts in this thread indicate it is not known what European countries (with the exception of Sweden) will receive these promotional exclusives.
  21. To answer your question, if it isn't too late, no. The full list of LEGO brand stores is here: http://www.lego.com/legostores/default.asp?x=x
  22. Shoot, if you wanted a chrome 3PO that badly I'd have traded. I have some spare.
  23. You can start by going to Ikea because some of those shelves are part of the Billy range :D Jeremy
  24. If you adjust the shipping destination it comes down to a more reasonable number.
  25. Probably. But I'm more interested in how someone in the US got hold of one of these promo figures.
