  1. Ouch ... that sounds horrible. The only thing I use toilet cleaner (apart from cleaning the toilet) is to clean the rims of my car. But that's really the only other thing.
  2. As long as it's no 'Rosenbauer', it should be fine
  3. I think I'll stick with the round ones. Thanks in advance. I guess we should talk business in a PM then.
  4. Sounds like a very reasonable price. I can only make estimates as to how many of those pieces fit into such a tub, because I have only seen pictures of the tubs. But I guess it will be enough if it is full. For sending with or without the tub, I guess that depends if the weight of the tub makes any difference to the postage price. But I'd definately take it if they have the desired pieces.
  5. I guess that would be the cheapest version possible. Would be nice if you could get a cup of these. But only if you get there ;)
  6. Hi, for a MOC I am in need of a larger bulk of transparent blue and/or white round plates with single studs. I thought it wouldn't hurt to go here and ask if someone would provide me with several thousands of those for a reasonable price. Mainly, I guess I need about 5k in transparent blue and perhaps a few hundred in transparent white. They would need to be sent to Germany, so I guess we need to think about customs as well. So, who is capable and willing to provide me such parts? Just shoot me a PM.
  7. Oh that is cute. But don't these lawnmowers usually have some kind of gearing so the barrel moves faster than the wheels? Just wondering ;)
  8. After reading the thread just today, I cannot hold back posting my opinion on this. I probably need to mention I am a voluntary firefighter, thus this could get a bit harsh. 1. Using flammable gas or liquid. Using any of these indoors is potentially super-dangerous, but you already know that. Apart from the increased chance of unwanted fires in your home, these gases or liquid could probably react with your Lego pieces and you would not want that. Also, those butane gas refillers for lighters should hold a note, that they are only to be used outside or in well-ventilated rooms (at least in Germany they have such a note). A little story about using flammable gas indoors. You probably all know these camping cooking stoves that work with gas. This (or similar): In the gas cartridge is a mixture of butane and propane. Fine devices for camping. A few years back, we got an alarm about an explosion in a home. When we got there, the fire was burning in the living room. The flat had a balcony, the windows there had burst and the wall was displaced by a good 30 cm (1 foot). So what happened? The family tried to use such a camping stove to roast a chicken (stupid, I know). When assembling the device, the cartridge was somewhat not properly fixed or enclosed. Some of the dripping fat of the chicken started burning and ran down on the sides of the stove ultimately flaming up a leak on the cartridge and the cartridge exploded. These people had a lot of luck, because none suffered serious injuries, but I guess this little story shows how dangerous all this stuff is. 2. CO2 as in some fire extinguishers should not be used as well. It won't burn and also it won't react, so you and your bricks are safe for now. But know this: CO2 is mainly used to extinguish fires in electrics or electronics as it displaces oxygen and thus extinguishing a fire. Using it in closed rooms is also dangerous, because the CO2 will as well displace the oxygen that you need for breathing. At best nothing (serious) happens. If you are out of luck, you are dead or suffer serious braindamage. So please don't use CO2 indoors, not even in "small" amounts. Using CO2 outdoors, is fine. 3. Compressed air as used in Lego pneumatics already is totally safe. So please use that. edit: Every day, people do stupid things. All of you, please try to not be stupid.
  9. Sounds like the sets he sells fell off a truck or something like that ...
  10. 3rd wheel and none of the mudguards. Don't know why, but I don't like them both somehow. But no mudguard would be wrong.
  11. I believe, in the end the model only used 2 of the 14L flex axles in red. Or was it the 16L flex axles?
  12. When I got back into Lego Technic, I had already missed out on 8258. Still this is a very attractive set. Since I am more of a builder than a plain collector, I now already have most of the needed parts in my collection. I guess, when I get 42030 in summer, I should have really nearly everything at hand to build it plainly from my collection. Perhaps I'll need to get some single parts, but that should not be a problem. So if you are note only collecting sets, build them and have them on display permanently, but tend to build your own creations or the creations of others (Sheepo's GT500 or everything that Crowkillers created), then I would wait a little longer until you have sufficient parts.
  13. I believe I said it before, but I'll just say it again: You're crazy I can't wait to see what you're building.
  14. Haha what a major ripp-off with those wrong tyres. At least he mentioned Sheepo. So I think it's at least fair in that direction. Made my day.
  15. Yes I have started to build it. But until now, I basically have only a rolling chassis and several approaches for the extending hooklift mechanism. Contrary to yours, mine will only have 3 axles with the latter 2 being with twin wheels. The rest might become similar, like the MAN style cabin.
  16. Seriously? A hooklift truck as c-model for 42009? Get out of my brain man. That's what I am experimenting with for the last 2 weeks.
  17. I originally meant to turn it the other way, but that seems impossible currently. If it stands up like that and over the sides it just does not look right ;) I just looked up some pictures of the F40 and found the "logo location" to be already very accurate.
  18. I think the yellow crankshaft piece on the hood you had before resembles the Ferrari logo better. Also, I would turn the two yellow crankshaft pieces on the sides by 90 degrees, so the "logo" would be vertical as well (if that's possible - just realized that it doesn't stand out).
  19. THIS is genious. Need to remember that for my next disassembly session!
  20. We already have the equipment to build a pressure level and one could probably come up with a solution of Technic parts that create a vacuum. But I wonder if one can build a proper launch rail and pressure chamber that are actually air tight enough. We'll see. Perhaps one of our geniae here will come up with a solution
