Your speeder captures the Kashyyyk style well

I don't know why, but I just love a Rebel tower. Excellent minifig selection and I love that tower (did I mention that already?)!

Great idea for a battle pack - I would definitely buy multiples (especially if the Death Star trooper had the newer version of the helmet ). Can't help but imagine Chewie storming in and throwing Imperials around! It's fun to see the gifs you added too .

Praiter Yed's Sci-Fi Classics
Praiter Yed replied to Praiter Yed's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thanks for the comment - apologies for not replying sooner - I thought I was the only person interested in this topic Here's another from Planet Of The Apes... -
EDIT: Sorry, meant to say that this is a good idea for a topic! I was designing a decal for Dr Evazan's face, then realised I actually had a passable purist solution in 79110 Silver Mine Shootout...

Thanks for the comments . 1st post updated with final pics - I may do an enhanced image this evening if i get chance. Still not happy with Ponda Babas' face, I preferred my first effort (below) - but it's too late, I will update after the contest and post in MCW forum. Still need to find time to look at all the other entries -life!

Thanks - I think I made Dr Evazans face too small so I'm hoping to re-do both him & Ponda Baba before the deadline as I'm not happy with either of them. Ha ha, he reminded me of the Stig too. I made made quite a bit of headway with another version of the Swoop, but I realised it was getting a bit too MOC like, all weak with dubious connections, I decided that's not really the way to approach a battle pack - it should be sturdy and inaccurate . And thanks.

I think the overall shape is very good except I find the transition from the windscreen to the roof to be a bit jarring. It's that sudden flat edge where the tiles are connected to the trans-clear slopes, maybe it would look fine in the brick? - But everything else looks so smooth and dynamic. It's hard to think of an alternative that wouldn't need some radical alteration to your design, for example SNOTing a standard Lego windscreen like this then building the roof off it? Maybe this piece would work? Or, perhaps this in LDD as a subtle transition from your slopes into a slightly more shaped roof (sadly not available in black). Hope you don't mind my comments - it looks good as is, but perhaps it could be better, either way it's certainly a better vehicle than I could hope to build.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (Nautilus) Model

Your pictures are not really doing justice to this MOC which is a shame because it's amazing. -
Excellent rendition of the Interceptor - and nice presentation to . Saw these on my phone last week and had to have a second look - when the pictures were so small I thought I was looking at your reference material!

Scum & Villainy Pack Smash the Swoop Bike into the Star TV array and watch it crash to the floor!.. Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina was not always a hive of scum and villainy but things went down-hill soon after the Star TV Array was destroyed. Without their fill of Star Sports the patrons of this quaint meeting place soon descended into brawling scum-bags. • Includes 4 Mini-figures with accessories: Random Spacer, Blue Milk Purveyor, Dr. Evazan & Ponda Baba. • Swoop Bike with swooshing action • Star TV Array with catapult collapse function • No flick fire missiles! Just saw a shelf full of 40086 Easter Bunnies on reduced from £4.25 to £1.50 (Brickset lists them as £8.49 rrp)! - At Asda, Warrington. If I'd been in the car I would have filled a trolly!

Congratulations to the winners! - All well deserved.

What was the last movie you watched?

..and another for 'Age of Ultron' - took my daughter who's a bigger fan of the MCU than me - we both left the cinema feeling dissapointed. She said 'meh', I agreed. -
[SPC] Cat A: The Crew of the Blackhole Barracuda
Praiter Yed replied to Hammerstein NWC's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
As I said on flickr, Smokin' Joe is my favourite but they're all brilliant. I find the tongue on Jolly Roger (great idea btw - creating a 'living' pirate flag) quite creepy. Good work on the presentation - make's your crew nice and clear on the voting page. -
[SPC] Cat C - Raid on the Shi-Quak settlement

Really love these vignettes - nice clean landscaping, great vehicles and nicely framed. I think it would look ace as one long dio though... any plans to link them up when you have time? -
Thanks for the comments Where's the fun in helping? - I shouldn't really give you too much information Thanks, I agree that P.O.L is the stand out character - like Hammerstein NWC says ... it's the colours. As for the belly button, that would be caused by the technical sci-fi gubbins that comes with genetic engineering - see, I've really thought this through .

Thanks for the nice comments and apologies for my late reply - been suffering with MAN-FLU! 1st post now updated with revised group shot. Thanks. Had to look that up but I can see where you're coming from. I aim to amuse myself with Lego stuff as much as possible, I'm glad that I also amused you in the process I wouldn't say I'm a Duran Duran fan although I am currently going through an 80's music phase. I recently caught a documentary about the making of the Rio album and seeing Duran Duran wearing their stripy sweatshirts triggered the idea of Simon Le Bon Lee Bone being abducted by Space Pirates. Did you spot the 11 Duran Duran song titles 'hidden' in my descriptions?

Thanks Thanks, coincidentally Mike Mop was the name of the previous cabin boy . Thanks for the feedback. I always think Lego's simplistic faces are open to interpretation and although I know it was supposed to be a scared face I was reading gritted teeth and anger. However I've taken your comment onboard and have changed the face to what was actually my initial choice - sadly she's lost her good looks now though. Now I need to change the group shot again.

I like all of them so far - the one you think is too plain is perfectly fine, it may lack the 'WOW factor' but imo if every fig is a WOW they sort of cancel each other out - does that make sense? As for the dolphin, no such thing as 'too stupid' when it comes to a fun contest like this - it's original & funny - arguably your best yet.

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?

Doctor Doom could possibly be based on the new movie version.
