Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
Brickdoctor replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
We have a topic for images like this, Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display. I'll move your post over to there. ...and done. -
I'm pretty sure that the central rib/ridge of the flipper piece extends all the way down to the tip of the fin, so that won't work unless the flipper piece is offset or rotated slightly.

I don't make any distinction between in- and out-of-character knowledge. I'm using my out-of-character knowledge to make an argument that benefits me based on the probability that Sandy will make a distinction between in- and out-of-character knowledge.

Shhhhh! I said the math worked out; I didn't say it was fair. Fabian doesn't know what I paid for it.
-
If that was the case (and I'm not saying it isn't), then he'd be doubling the price per SP that was already the same as his other SP-granting artifacts, which means he's either quadrupled the price of SP for the Unholy Armor, or he's selling all the other basic SP artifacts at half price. I did account for his doubling of price; I divided the final price I arrived at by two. I just removed the cost of the SP first without multiplying or dividing it since it was already directly based on the selling price of other artifacts.

There hasn't been one before; a Bothan would be a new minifig.

"Thank you, Miss Uq."I accept the Gold.

"Well, the Water Canteen is largely situational, much like an item known as the Amulet of the Elven Horseman, which, off the top of my head, you offered another hero about 25 Gold for. "The Desert Cloak provides immunity to three elements. The only item you're currently selling that also offers elemental immunity is the Unholy Armor, which provides 5 SP and immunity to two elements for 500 Gold. Based on the fact that the SP: 1 Leather Armor and Leather Cap are each worth 30 Gold, and the fact that SP: 2 Orcish Helmet and Sand Worm Hide are each worth 60 Gold, and the fact that the SP: 3 Knight's Armor and Tricorne are each worth 90 Gold, I'd say that the 5 SP component of the Unholy Armor makes up 150 Gold of its price. That leaves 350 Gold covering the two elements, which is 175 Gold per element. Multiply that by three since my cloak provides immunity to three elements and divide that by two since I know you have to make a profit, and the result is 262 and a half, call it 260, Gold."

[NXV] Elite Squad Clone Trooper
Brickdoctor replied to 3KgFeed's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
This would belong in the Minifig Customization Workshop. I'll move it over there... -
Please don't bump a more-than-two year old topic just to say "nice set". Thanks.

Star Wars Rebels Series Set Pictures Out!
Brickdoctor replied to korpen4444's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yes, it should. anofficialstripeline, welcome to EB, and thanks for posting the picture. We have a big thread for this sort of news, LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors, so I'll move your post over there, then lock this topic to ensure you see this post if you come back to this topic. Regarding image sizes, EB is not intended to be an image host for its members, so you're only provided with a very limited upload space, which will increase as you rank up, but is still very small. You should sign up for a dedicated photo-hosting site such as Brickshelf, flickr, or Photobucket. -
Very nice work, BEAVeR! How is the flipper held in place for the Y-wing's nose? I didn't remember that part being thick enough to be held by a clip like that.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion
Brickdoctor replied to LEGOman273's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Isn't there some sort of rule about "only the good guys get to come back from the dead!!!"? 'Balance of the Force' apparently meaning 'No more Sith', and the Force supposedly being intelligent enough to have a will and to be able to kick certain species out of its sphere of influence and all that. -
Huh. Okay, thanks; I hadn't seen that before. Strange that there's no link to the Brickset post that he says is the source...

So...anyone want to run through the Fields again?
-
Having vanquished the great eye, I return to the Hall and take a seat at an empty table, looking around for any familiar faces. Figuring it can't hurt, I sign up for the Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory.

As much as it would be realistic, I know someone brought up the idea of the Sundered Heart being an alt model with dark blue accents for a Tantive IV set, and I think that that would be the most feasible for LEGO to do. (Assuming the red and blue pieces are placed such that they can be easily swapped out.) I doubt very many people will buy a Sundered Heart set, unless it makes some major appearance in Rebels (Which is not outside the realm of plausibility, but not appropriate for discussion in this topic.), so if you really want that, I think the best bet is for TLG to go the alt model route — it worked (at least on a smaller and more iconic scale) for 6212's Red Five/Red Three*. *Wedge was the alternate minifig pilot included, and he flew as Red Two at Yavin IV and Red Leader at Endor, but the instructions had you put three stripes onto the X-wing's wings for the alternate 'model'.

I approach Fabian. "Good day, Master Elf. Would you be interested in purchasing these artifacts I've acquired?" Water Canteen — (Carries 3 portions of water; essential in deserts to avoid dehydration; Accessory) Desert Cloak — (Immunity to Fire-, Earth-, and Wind-elemental damage; Backwear)

Thanks for the terrific quest, Sandy! The lore behind your quests is always very well done, and I had fun, although I must apologize for my somewhat lacking amount of activity.

You can also see the cockpit peeking out just below the Falcon's aft end in the big hangar matte painting overview in the shot right before that one, but it doesn't reveal much more.
