Lego Star Wars The Force Unleashed - 7672 Rogue Shadow
Brickdoctor replied to The Ghost Racer's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Dust off that LEGO! I do remember that set; I almost bought it when it was 50% off at Brand Stores at the end of its lifetime. Never really wished I'd bought it, though, even after that. Too many large black slopes that I'd probably never use. Anyways, I'm curious as to what the purpose of this topic is intended to be. Is it supposed to be a mini review because you took the set out again, or...? -
Yeah, where did we get the 50 Gold benchmark from? I know John Paul mentioned selling back at that price, but I've never heard of anyone selling a gem back to the Marketplace -- there are enough players who want multiple elements to make that unnecessary. 100 Gold's been the standard ever since Elphaba's first appearance.

I think the issue in this case is that it's not a normal build; it's a Counterstriking Mystic Knight with above-average-and-climbing SP. But that's supposed to be the strength of the Mystic Knight, so while it might be more gamebreaking than a Counterstriking Paladin, it's completely fair and not overpowered in my opinion. We've already made multiple Free Hits harder to tank.

No, I love it.

Try using the Advanced Search. (It's the little gear next to the normal search bar.) Enter the set number as the search term (This won't work with old sets that have numbers of fewer than four digits, though.), under 'Match' change the second dropdown to 'Only search in titles'. That will bring up all the topics that have that set number in the title, which is usually going to be only reviews, press releases, and the occasional mod. You can further refine the search if you know which theme forum the review should be in by selecting a forum in the 'Find in forum' section. (And you can select multiple forums by holding down Ctrl/Cmd while you click the names of the forums there.)

Brothers in Arms Echo and Fives

Good to see you being a more active member of EB, now. You say that there're fifteen decals in that helmet -- I have to say that they look printed (at least to this untrained eye ), because the application looks very clean. -
Many (All? Sci-fi only links to the SiegDex) of the theme forums have a Review Index, though they're not all set up the same way or linked to in the same place. There's also the site-wide Set Index (SiegDex), but it's incomplete.

OoC: Oh, I have no problem with how the Free Hits are affected by Aura. I was commenting on it since Nyx asked about it. I throw a Bone at Lord Chauncey from the Back Row.

Oops. I have two of them on my hard drive, the normal Death Star II one and one I made that's got the LEGO UCS Death Star II in it instead. I didn't notice that I used the wrong one when combining my tags. I'll have to fix that sometime.

Review Review: 10240 Red Five X-Wing Starfighter

There's a topic somewhere around here about applying it more precisely using water, if you want to try that... here it is!- 118 replies

There're a lot of other tags with similar purpose for the other forums, but I believe they're all given out at the discretion of the forum's staff. (Like our Death Star tag is.)

"Wait, Master Hybros, I should be able to take Lord Chauncey's Free Hit, Madame Ladybug's Free Hit, and Lord Hinckwell's Free Hit for 28 Damage*, which would still leave me with more than the 60 HP I'll be reduced to when the Aura fades. There's no need to distract Lord Chauncey; I'll take the hit and give us an extra chance at Blinding the Dark Minion." I attack the Dark Minion from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. *((((48+16)/2)+70)/2)-23=28.

OoC: My Free Hits should be (((48+16+0+0+0)/2)/2)-23=0. Levels 15, 10, and 7 don't affect me because of the Dread Hat, and the Damage is divided by two twice because of the Mail of the Renegade Commander.I throw a Bone at Lord Chauncey from the Back Row.

Isn't that just the Common Sense rule, with general starting guidelines?
-
By adding one line? If, somehow, one line makes a profile that much harder to read, it can't be harder than having to go to another topic to check for the info instead.
-
How is it cluttering the topic when we add one line to each profile?
-
Ah, good. Indeed. Actually, the Bank concept could be a good thing...we already allow heroes to calculate their own purchases, so it's not as if there's an opportunity to cheat being added through the Bank concept. And it's something that QMs don't have to worry about calculating. (Other than checking to make sure the player hasn't exceeded the cap, which is simple enough.) Plus as I mentioned in my previous post, it actually helps the non-Rogues and Rogues as well, by giving them a place to save up Gold without it being stolen. (And it doesn't make all your Gold completely safe, because you'll still have to decide whether you want to take some to buy stuff in quests.) And we don't need another topic for it since we can just stick it in the stats.
-
I should add that I hope people get that reference. I'm not sure how well-known it is, either inside of or outside of the US. No, that doesn't make sense. It penalizes the non-Rogues who have to carefully save up their Gold and prevent their Gold from being stolen by enemies, and it breaks the continuity of all Hall services being free for Heroes.
-
I do like the common sense rule; it does make the most sense, after all. I think it would just be hard to consistently enforce in a way that everyone feels is fair and as such won't delay a quest discussing it. "In the following posts I offer nothing more than simple facts, plain arguments, and common sense: and have no other preliminaries to settle with the reader, than that he will divest himself of personal stats, of Gold, and of character progression, and suffer his reason and his feelings to determine for themselves that he will put on, or rather that he will not put off, the true character of a hero, and generously enlarge his views beyond the present quest..."
-
Absolutely.
-
On the other hand, even with the Humanoid rule, QMs can still just make Humanoid one of the other types of an enemy or have fewer Humanoid enemies, depending on whether or not they want Rogues to carry more Gold.

Are you sure? It has those Rebel scum you hate in it. Awarded.
