The ability to pair Wis with Int is insignificant next to the power of the Force. No, I was a Regulator before. And Erdy's a Moderator, too, so I'm not 'in charge'. -
Still looks down to me. But the browser takes a while to try to load the page now, instead of immediately going straight to the "Can't find server" error.

flickr Find Untitled...but awesome...Clone Wars Diorama
Brickdoctor posted a topic in LEGO Star Wars
There, I said it; I called a CW dio "awesome". This MOC by Olive Seon on flickr has no title and no description…but does it need one? The pictures are enough to show the incredible size and detail. (That’s a stock AT-TE walking out the main door.) In addition to the fact that its huge and that everything looks like it works, the coloring stands out to me, especially the large writing and symbols in the floors. The builder has also made a bunch of stock sets look terrific by surrounding them with an outstanding diorama. -
[MOC] UCS Nebulon B - Medical Frigate 'Redemption'

Fixed. I agree. Two black stands would probably be okay, but the problem is that the height of the spine compared to the rest of the model means that at least one of the stands would be really tall, and it's not wide like the Star Destroyers, able to partially block the view of the stands from most angles. -

Perhaps I can find new ways to motivate them. Some do not share my optimistic appraisal of the situation. -
Oh, nice reference, WBD. I noticed the Ecatsue/Eustace connection, but didn't think about his being the dragon.

Yes, exactly. I listed my stats as Int: ∞ and Wis: 1.

Cronk's definitely not stupid. He knows about filing tax papers on loot, he can solve Zepher's anagrams...

Reminder: There's been some interest, but not a lot, and you still have this opportunity to join the Rebel Bloggers. Don't be discouraged by all the details in the first post; there's a whole team of quality members ready to help you if you are chosen. I would encourage everyone to apply if you think you have, say, even a half an hour each week to blog. No harm in trying.

About collecting only one theme/subtheme: It's good to have a focus in your interest when you first start out, to help you build up your collection. (And on a broader scale, a focus on LEGO among toys in general.) You don't want to be stuck between or among two or more themes, not having funds left when something great and big comes out and not having enough of the pieces appropriately shaped and colored for one theme to start building MOCs. But as you expand into LEGO activities beyond collecting -- namely, MOCing -- definitely do expand into other themes, to improve your ability to build in other themes. (And also to further increase your collection's versatility.)

Using a Menace quote to refer to my activity on EB? -
You could've PMed me about this... I have no problem with you waiting another quest or so to complete the deal.
-
Are you not supposed to do that? In the Unlimited Quest, I have more posts than all three QMs combined. (Including all the posts they made when I wasn't in the party.) In other news, is a newbie actually going to be forced to fight John Paul in the Arena to join the Knights of Karie's Stolen Round Table?

[MOC] UCS Nebulon B - Medical Frigate 'Redemption'

Very impressive. I don't think I would ever be brave enough to seriously swoosh something like this, though -- just the way it's shaped and the amount of little greebles makes it look like it would disintegrate in my hand! -
I walk over to Guts. Making sure that only he can hear me, I say, "Captain Holla, U'Ordiussum confirms that the three servers are from the Hovels. I tried to hint about the chef, but he would only say that the hired chef is an 'actual chef of note'. As I recall, he's not one of the ones Doctor Daneeka told us we could trust fully, so I didn't want to ask him more about that and risk letting him know that we know about the chef's real role."

Wow. Your attention to detail here is incredibly impressive. I feel strange making a comment like this because it's not the kind of comment I make on an MOC, but I have nothing to specifically complain about because everything looks perfect and I have nothing to specifically compliment because I love the whole thing! But let's see, to pick something out, I especially like the style of tiling. The way you tiled the hull reminds me a lot of the style of tiling I try to have whenever I tile an MOC, and you nailed it. And the bits of color are perfect. (Going to blog this later; I just blogged a news item and they usually get a bit of time atop the blog.) -
Nice find, nrg.

That's not playing the game. That's just annoying your teammates and asking to be suspected the entire time -- and to be killed, if there aren't any better targets. Especially in the earlier stages of the game when it's harder to get reads; getting rid of an unhelpful Townie can be just as good as getting rid of Scum, so if there's no more important target, lynching or killing an inactive player is win-win for the Town.Sorry, I'll stop discussing mafia strategy in the Heroica thread. Just wanted to follow up my post about the different paces by saying that it's definitely not a good idea to try not to conform to that pace when playing mafia. (And Heroica, to a lesser extent, too: you don't want to spam your quest or annoy the other heroes, and you also don't want to be so inactive that it hurts the party when you aren't around to get your action in or you don't read strategy and submit the wrong action...) Like MegaBlokin' sheep! I don't think even knows what its purpose is now. The point of the Healing Staff is to confuse QMs.

From my point of view the Jedi are evil! Let's see: KimT was a Sith Santa Clone Commander (That sounds so much like one of those super-powered sigfigs kids make. ). Stash was...I don't know what Stash was, but his avatar's lightsaber was green, so we'll tentatively call it Jedi, but there's got to be some sort of Jedi rule his avatar was breaking. Kiel had a green lightsaber tag and an unrelated avatar: Jedi. Erdy is actually a pirate chef, and Piranha is probably closest to Rebel Pilot. So yeah, I'm the first Imperial. (Oh, unless you count Shadows, who drops in with his Grand Admiral avatar every now and then.) -
You have to remember that Heroica and Mafia are very different games, and someone might have participated in both and decided to dedicate more time to one of them. Of course mafia is more competitive and much less forgiving in mechanics, but the pace is significantly different as well. Even though I don't do so (No life outside of EB.), I could in theory play Heroica checking in once a day. On the other hand, mafia will consume the majority of the time I spend on EB as I keep up with posts and maintain my spreadsheets and PM people, with 'breaks' during night phases that are by no means stress-free. I know def mentioned that he preferred the faster pace of mafia to Heroica.

Thanks for the encouragement, Dino. It's always good to know that members are keeping up with the blog. If anyone rules this galaxy, I think it would be Erdy. So I could be Lord (Vader's title), Grand Vizier (Pestage's), or perhaps Grand Moff (Tarkin's). Assuming that I'm an Imperial... it's tradition for SW staff to be Sith, but my rank image has an Alliance crest as is my CB tag, and my lightsaber tag is blue. Make ready to land our troops beyond that energy field, and deploy the fleet so that nothing gets off that system. You are in command now, Admiral GRogall. -
