  1. I was wondering... what does the availability of French baguettes on Dagobah have to do with policevehicle entries? ....? *sweet*
  2. Thanks for the review of this set! What business is that of TLC, if I want to put my bricks onto one big pile I'll do it anyway! :-|
  3. There has been much discussion going on lately about four/six/eight wide vehicles on this board, cars being four wide, vans and trucks six, and really big trucks eight wide. I herewith submit my entry, being an eight wide van (eat that, Hinckley39! X-D ) It has a sliding door that really functions quite well, a cage in the back for some crooks and lots of seats for policemen. I saw this van one time on tv in the "Cops" series and decided to give it a Lego-try. (Click the images to enlarge) The Brickshelf folder
  4. Have fun there! I'm sure the weather is a tad bit better there than in Ireland... :-)
  5. Cool! I like the idea of having entire minifigs instead of just torso's. There aren't many things in life that function flawlessly with Mozilla! :-D
  6. I can't say I find this first post very polite. You can at least ask politely if anyone has these pieces and not just put "I need...." >:-(
  7. I never noticed this poll, so here I go, one year afterwards: I voted for the 6380 Hospital, I wanted this set practically all my life, and in 2005 I succeeded: On holiday on my bicycle from The Netherlands to Rome Italy I found this set in the Italian Appenines after a 25 kilometre climb. It was available in a dusty old shop in a little town called Zocca. It only cost 30 euros and I was in heaven! Great set. I remember the shippingcosts being exactly 30 euros as well, to have it send to the Netherlands, but it didn't matter to me back then. :-)
  8. Something for our Classic trains fans, a sealed copy of set 7730 Freighttrain. With 46 minutes to go and the price already being at 481 euros I wonder what it's going to cost the future owner... 8-
  9. I was just thinking... How did he deserve that title? But now it dawns on me.... :-P For dusting I use one of those small vacuumcleaners and for the hard to reach spots a paint brush.
  10. Quite some quote Mr. Norrington, do you know it by heart? ;-)
  11. That's the spirit!! You'll be looking at a busy weekend I guess..? 8-
  12. Although we already had some threads about favourite sets in the past, the EB population changes quick enough to have a new one every once in a while. Here is my alltime favourite: The best set ever in my opinion and also one of the biggest and most sought after ones Lego has ever produced. I bought this set off Ebay a while ago (130 euros...) and every time I built it it amazes me again how well this system functions. :-)
  13. We have seen that only a few posts before.... Look above.... I like this system though I don't think it will protect your bricks from our biggest enemy: dust.
  14. Nice find! I like the model of the truck, and the alternate model of the twoseater even more. I hope it isn't going to be that expensive... :-)
  15. You got the flag on the boat pointing the wrong way :-D :-P No seriously, great idea for a contest!
  16. Hi Andrew! By looking at your location under your name I thought you lived in the UK, but apperently there is a place called Newcastle in Australia too. Same queen all the same.... Welcome to the forum, we have people from all over the world attending and quite some Australians as well, all sharing the love for the little plastic bricks. Enjoy it here! :-)
  17. Hi and welcome! It seems we share the same year of birth, I am 22 as well and also studying (Criminology in Amsterdam). I saw your firetruck topic a while back quite nice. Good work on that small 1996 policecar too (lots of flashinglights attached) I own this car too, but the pieces have yellowed unfortunately over the years :-( Anyway, enjoy it here! :-)
  18. My favourite minifig is one from the 1997 Divers serie Set 6559. Bricklink shows the wrong torso in their inventory (shame on Bricklink!), Peeron is right but does not show a picture of the completely assembled minifig, that's why I post my favourite minifig in two different pictures, here it comes: This minifig with this torso: In my opinion this is the greatest set from the Divers theme, lots of interesting minifigs, gear, a great skeleton on the seabottom and a cute submarine. Besides: it is the first set I bought in the Divers theme after saving up for a long time. I am glad that I own the complete serie!
  19. Female figs... Some time ago I just bought about 60 womens wigs so I can construct them myself.... :-D
  20. Tiles! Good luck *y*
  21. Welcome James! I am sure you'll understand that now that you have said that you are working on a Ford Capri we will expect a decent Lego scale model of it in let's say... two days :-D Enjoy your time here. :-)
  22. There is room in my heart for both, although there is hardly room in my room.... I like the old style, was raised with it and build most of my MOC's according to it, but I like the new modular building system. Being the poor university student that I am I really don't have the money to buy the Cafe Corner, but that is something different.... I made some modular buildings before, like in my city of some time ago, they have sort of the same big scale as Cafe Corner and Marketstreet, I liked the principle but one needs quite some bricks before just one building is erected... When CC and MS hit the discount department I'll be first in line to pick them up. Patience, patience.... :-)
  23. Would be nice, I am however not the builder of this machine...
  24. Hmmm... I think I'll rely on my speedregulator.... 8-| Nice find, though he/she could have used a faster or better camera because the action is hardly visible.
  25. I can't say those pictures are too huge to handle though...... Magnifying-glass on! :-P
