  1. Well, that could have been a nice category, I do have a firetruck (I made a long time ago) with blinking lights to enter.... Perhaps we can make a contest next with Light&Sound vehicles..?
  2. Lasse D yoour crashtender looks even greater now that it's finished! It has my vote and I'm glad my entries do not compete against it, being in a different category... *y*
  3. Nice little car, with good colorscheme. I like the use of the chrome tile/grid piece on top, maybe I would change the red jumperplate on the roof for a red tile. :-)
  4. I am afraid I dislike the truck and trailer just as intensely as the plane... Nice to see a trainbase used though, but I can always find those on bricklink... No trailer for me, also because I own a trailer that is of pure beauty, behold: That is the way I like it! *wub* (never thought I could find good use for that emoticon in this thread)
  5. This must be something out of my worst nightmare! Man... that is one ugly piece of aviation... :-X
  6. I am most grateful! :-)
  7. Thanks! I must admit: the fire-engine version is just a whacky idea... It would have been the most unpractical firetruck ever if it had excisted.. :-D Messerschmitt on!
  8. Well.... Since Uniquebuilder stated that there is a laddertruck shortage at the moment.... I though I might as well throw in my "ladder". It is not exactly minifig scale (slightly bigger) but it is the only ladder-vehicle I have and it is something different from all other ladder entries. Here it is, my Messerschmitt-ladder: Messerschmittcars like this one actually excist.... X-D (click to enlarge) The Brickshelf gallery
  9. Nice idea, reviewing the set while constructing it. This is the top of the bill for any lego-collector (also financially speaking..) and I like the look of all those thousands of pieces. The manual is incredible, I thought I had a really thick manual coming with set 8479, but this one exceeds it with ease... Review on!
  10. Thanks for this review Sinner! I love this house, with the nicely made tiled corners, the colorscheme and the garage. The only thing I dislike about this set is the way the windows are attached in train windows (so they turn inwards a little) instead of the usual frames with shutter-attachment-ability. But that is something that can be fixed in the blink of an eye. I will certainly buy this house some day when I find it at reasonable price.
  11. For my next purchase I have to travel through most of my little country collecting it at the sellers house. I bought, new in box although with some heavy shelfware and no more cellophane wrapping but bags still sealed, the 7839 Car Transport Depot from 1986. No big deal, you would say, until you hear of the price: only 45 euros!! I am one happy lego-collector... :'-)
  12. Welcome equally named new member! Have a great time here. Strange, but it looks like that game has my name written all over it... :-P
  13. Fryslan Boppe! Welcome to Eurobricks! :-)
  14. Happy Birthday Mr. Italian River and Mr. Autobot! :-)
  15. Yes, you're right, I did some quick research on Playmobil (man.. there are a LOT of Playmobil western sets!) and came up with this. Just to make it clear: I did not buy this set, it is just to showcase that weird piece... ;-)
  16. Fantastic entries everybody!! Such a tough choice.... I ultimately voted for Gylman's Diner. If I had had the time I would have entered myself, but I would have had trouble competing with all those great creations for sure.
  17. A place to discuss tips on building, what we are working on and 'other stuff' related to lego already exists. It is the board you posted this thread in. Here's the link :-)
  18. Ah, so it was you, washing ashore at Zandvoort some time ago.... Who is the little guy standing next to you? :-D
  19. Thanks for the review, I like the number of treads in this 'vehicle' You'll still be better of buying this contraption in the U.S. Here in Holland it retails for 64,95 Euro, that is calculated against the current exchangerate $90 ! 8-
  20. Great truck! I like the way you made the cab really look round, a very tough and difficult thing to do, but it works well with those rounded-top parts. My only (tiny) point of criticism would be the wheel/nob on top of the cab, with the rest of the truck being made so realistic I think that looks a bit out of place. But, one has to steer somewhere. ;-) Keep them rolling! *y*
  21. Great little set, thanks for reviewing it! I would like to have a cop y myself some day. There is one seller at Bricklink selling this set (bloody expensive though...)
