  1. In addition to the big list I posted earlier I have to more piratesets to report. I bought: ~ 1723, used, with instructions ~ 1788, MISOSB (Mint In Sealed Oddly Shaped Box X-D) I am so happy, particularly with the last one, I bought it for just 35 Euros today.
  2. Those lazy French people.... :-D :-| Yes, I know the Prins Willem has always been the ugly duckling.... I visited it at Sail Amsterdam in 2005 and it looks nice from the outside, but once on board everything is fake: plastic cannons, steel (wood plated) hull etc.
  3. That is absolutely right! I rest my case. :-)
  4. Sorry, slow server caused my post to double... Edit: The website mentioned also has a button with a British flag on it, once pressed it displays the site's content in English...
  5. Well, the building process of this ship may have started, it's definetely not finished yet. Last summer on holiday I cycled right through Gravelines, one of the nicer little towns along the English/French Channel and if there had been a full scale 57 metre frigate anywhere near the city I would have noticed it.... Nice idea though. Here in Holland I know of three replica's of old 17th century frigates/VOC-ships: one lying outside my home here in Amsterdam (the Amsterdam), one in Lelystad (the Batavia) and one in Den Helder (The Prins Willem).
  6. On my favorite online Dutch Marketplace I yesterday agreed to buy set 1788, MISB for 35 euros!! I'm so happy to have finally found this set at a reasonable price in a country the set was only very briefly available! :'-) I have yet to pick the set up at the sellers house and will be doing so shortly.
  7. I just realized when I read this that I have been the 'victim' of an Aprilfools joke: yesterday someone indeed inverted my outside mat...! :'-) I stepped over it, turned it around, wondered why someone would take the time to invert other peoples mats, and went on with my day, not knowing I had been pranked. :-)
  8. I believe this has been posted on the front page, but thanks anyway for bringing it to our attention.
  9. That MOC made me laugh more than all the april fool jokes that have descended upon us the whole day long! Great! :-P :-D
  10. I remember feelings of frustration as a kid: I was building something and somehow it did not work out quite the way I wanted, changed it, still no succes and after a few more tries the boilingpoint was reached, the MOC ended up flying through the room, hitting a wall and shattering into a thousand pieces.... Well, it felt like a thousand pieces because they were everywhere and I had to search for each and every one of them.... :-/
  11. I'll be glad to see the date change to 2nd of april at 12:00 o'clock tonight.... :-| Anyway, good of you to not leave.
  12. That is one of the great advantages of Technic: when dropped it stays together because of all the supportive beams and pins...
  13. I foresee a new title: Headmaster. ;-)
  14. I'm devastated... :'-( *sweet* I checked the sores today and there are still no Indiana Jones sets available, although the catalog said they should be in stores by april, which it is now. Well, I'll just have to wait a little.
  15. Yes, that's why I said the system's compatible with the date.... :-)
  16. That's interesting, a new design of Lego bricks after 50 years.... I am sure the new system will be compatible with the old system, compatible with minifigs, compatible with older type wheels and I'm sure it's compatible with the date. Thanks for posting this!
  17. That is so cool! Now we know what the next CC-style building will be, after Cafe Corner, Marketstreet and Green Grocer we get the house of Pippi. I am sure it will feature all the great things from the movies: kitchen, big hallway with stairs and big garden. This is sooo much better than another re-release of the same Star Wars set! *sweet*
  18. That means Indiana Jones finally found it's way to the Dutch toystores! I'll have to check it out right away, thanks! I would love to see your purchase but the link does not work... :-(
  19. It's a joke! Oh, wait, it's april fools day so what I just said is a joke... Meaning it's true :-D
  20. A few days ago I bought this little Pirate/Castle set: Someone in Holland sold it to me for 12,50 euro, complete with instructions, no box. This actually is one set with a 'two-faced' instruction booklet.
  21. Well, at least we'll be able to make a nice red coat-stand! :-D
  22. Wow! Is it that simple? I must try this at home!! :-P
  23. Nice! Somehow I expected something like this though, given this thread's title: I'm confused.... :'-(
  24. Well, nice topic and although old still nice to post in. I like mainly older music: ~ Queen ~ Simon & Garfunkel ~ The Beach Boys ~ The Beatles ~ Sailor ~ 10CC ~ Supertramp ~ ABBA ~ Neil Sedaka ~ Elvis Presley *wub*
