  1. It looks like you've got same idea as me - I'm also trying to build this model right now but I'm using just LDD. Your tractor looks very accurate.
  2. I like this kind of fake engine too - I saw something like this as MOC (just engine) and I think it is first such engine in official set. I have to say that new tractor suprised me much in good way - I will think about buying it. Anyway rock crawler is still number 1 on my shopping list. And about helicopter - main model is excellent of course but am I only one who think that its B-model is totally weird?
  3. It is as short as parts included in this set allowed me... And thank you for all possitive feed back.
  4. I've uploaded new instruction for scooter built out of set 8048 to buildinst and now I'm working on instructions for hot-rod.
  5. At first I'd like to say I enjoyed contest and I'm glad about price I've won. I agree with many others that time limit should be more strict. I don't think I'd change anything with my creation if I had more time but it is better to have clear rules in this way. I also like idea of building alternative "C" models out of official sets because it is my way of building MOCs. In this case I wouldn't choose flagship or biggest set but some medium size set about 700 pieces - it needs more creativity to build something out of it and it would be relatively cheap to participate in contest (if you didn't own exact set, it wouldn't cost you much to buy it).
  6. I've just added new instruction for scooter built out of set 8048.
  7. You can try to count all votes in voting topic and you'll be very close to final result (you can't count just votes via PM but I think there were not many of them). I did this counting when voting was running to check my current possition...
  8. Thank you all for your comments! I was interested too much in TSATS contest last days that I forgot to answer your questions so let me do it now. I don't plan this. I am interested mostly in Technic and little bit in Creator and I don't own any Castle set... Yes, I mostly use spare parts - especially bushes and pins. I thought about adding alternates built by other builders but I don't have enough time to do it... Buildinst is still one-man project and update with mostly one instruction once a month is all what I can do now. If there is anyone who would like to help me with this project they are welcomed. Right now I'd appreciate someone with coding in PHP skills to make updating faster and easier.
  9. I'd like to congratulate winners and to thank Sinner for managing this contest. It was great idea and I'll participate in next contest surely if it is announced. I also wanna thank all people who participated in this contest as contestants, voters or managers.
  10. Cool MOD and funny video. I like how it goes around room and those two hamsters - didn't they bite any bricks? It looked like they did...
  11. This model and mechanism are simply awesome! I like it much and I don't understand much how it works same as others.
  12. 13: 4 points 43: 2 points 41: 1 point
  13. My number 1 is Lifeguard's personal watercraft - it looks nice and relatively simply but it features many functions. 9: 3 points 8: 2 points 13: 1 point 3: 1 point
  14. Thank you for wishing happy birthday to buildinst. I am happy that you like this web site and I already work on another instruction. So you can look forward.
  15. Buildinst celebrates its 1st birthday today and now it offers you 29 building instructions for alternates built out of 9 different sets including new motor boat built out of set 8068.
  16. Thank you for possitive comment. And here it comes - you can build your own motor boat out of set 8068 following this instruction on buildinst. Enjoy it!
  17. Interesting and agile floating creation. It was smart idea to use those "plastic lego bottles".
  18. Great MOC! It is almost unbelievable that you built so many functions in your snow groomer. How many motors did you use for it?
  19. This is my contribution to "To sail the Technic sea" contest. It is motor boat with outboard engine that features: steering with turning steering wheel adjustable trim adjustable seats possibility to build modet just out of set 8068 I've built it as small as possible with use of only one set (8068) beacause I don't like mixing parts from different sets together. It is pity that set 8068 doesn't contain lego steering wheel so I had to borrow it from other set... Anyway you'll be able to build it just out of this set with help of building instruction that is placed here on buildinst. Especially for this cotest I've added few funny features - rear frame and... water skier! I don't have any technic fig so I decided to build one out of ordinary liftarms and connectors - it is girl with two pigtails who looks like alien. EDIT: Old Topic.
  20. I also like this magazine and I especially like reading reviews of Lego Technic sets. This issue is extraordinary for me in this way - review for set 9394 was written by grohl who is my "Lego idol" and member of Czech AFOL forum "kostky.org" same as me.
  21. Great model and even greater thanks to its small scale. I like your transmission most. It is excellent idea how you switch between two functions with help of moving bevel gears.
  22. I can smell that from here and it smells odorific!!! Awesome creation. At first sight I had thought that it is just static replica but later I found out it is working. I like pedals with crank that powers horizontal propeller. It's cool to see them moving...
  23. Another nice and BIG entry to contest. I like design and color-sheme. I just don't think that using 3 different sticks for controlling ailerons and rudder is very realistic solution. I think it would be better to use just one stick with four-ways turning to control them even without pneumatic system.
  24. Cool creation! Even I don't like insect much in real your strider is awesome and I think it would be great theme for Technic. I would like to see video that shows your strider's functions. Good luck in contest!
