  1. Nice model. It remembers me alternative model of set 8294. Did you get inspiration there?
  2. I'd like to talk about alternate built out of set 9391. Set 9391 is the smallest set in my collection and I have to say 'it is rather difficult to build anything out it'. After few hours my effort was rewarded by this little snow mobile that features just ski steering (even track is fixed).
  3. I built your tracked dump-truck at weekend and I was little bit disappointed by result. It was rather fragile especially dump body. On the other side I understand how difficult is to build something out of this set. Maybe I will try to improve it...
  4. I haven't tried it on snow and I even didn't plan it. I try to keep my lego away from water... Anyway I think it is possible to use it in snow you just have to connect pins in tracks to avoid their skidding.
  5. Building instruction for snow cat is available at buildinst now and video will be online on Sunday.
  6. I'm working on it - it will be my first video so be patient...
  7. I'd like to introduce you my latest creation - remote control snow cat. It was built mostly out of set 8294 and I had to add just few gears, pins with holes and PF parts. Design was inpired by Pisten Bully. It features drive for each track via two XL motors and snow plow lifting via one medium motor & linear actuator. I got lot of fun with it when I was removing my girlfriend's socks out of floor and chasing dog. My colleagues have also liked it when I brought it to office. Building instruction will be available on buildinst soon.
  8. I have to say that your creations are awesome - precise and functional. I like most your piaggio trike and helicopter. Helicopter looks like studless remake of nighthawk 8412 which I've got in my childhood.
  9. Nice review. I also own this little set and I wrote another review of it at Czech Lego forum but it was shorter than yours. I agree with you that 8067 is much better choice. I bought 9391 because I had liked bulldozer. When I built it I was little bit disappointed by result. Especially covering knob for rising front shield by folk is not very good idea. I also plan to build some alternates for this set.
  10. Building instruction for tyrannosaur built out of set 8048 is available at buildinst now.
  11. I'm back with new alternate for set 8041. After formula new hot-rod is coming. It features V8 engine with rear wheel drive, steering, opening doors, opening trunk and opening hood with support bar. It also have 2 seats - not just one as official models. P.S. If you like my tyrannosaur built out of set 8048 and you'd like to build it you will find building instruction at buildinst (link is below).
  12. First and second model didn't impress me much but third is realy cool. It remembers me b-model of set 8294. I also own this mini set and I plan to build some alternate too.
  13. Excelent work! I like small models with good design and cool functions and your crane is one of them.
  14. Thank you for your commendation! I like tyrannosaur much too. I'm thinking about creating instruction for it longer time so it will be next piece right after dismantling scooter.
  15. I'd like to wish you marry Christmas and happy new year in name of buildinst. I also prepaired little present for you - building instruction for plane built from set 8068.
  16. Christmas are coming and building instruction for plane built from set 8068 with them. You can find this instruction at buildinst both in online and pdf version.
  17. Thanks for reply. This is my last creature - grasshopper.
  18. I have good news for all of you who like building my alternates. You can download building instructions for all Technic alternates in PDF directly from buildinst now. I've also added new front page to each PDF. P.S. Thank's for all comments.
  19. I'd like to notify you of last buildinst update. I haven't attached any new building instruction but I've added few new features: - gallery of alternative models - links to discussion forums - downloading building instructions for Technic alternates in PDF with new front pages Any comments are welcomed.
  20. It is interesting to see competitor to my website. I have to say this man has very good building skills and imagination. Especially I like his Pagani Zonda and I was really surprised how fast it is with only one XL motor. Just his website is not very nice. It doesn't look very professional and its background made of big pictures is awful (less does more sometimes). You can easily loose content of page thanks to this background...
  21. I wanted to add this dog in separate post to not let it take all attention from other models... So let's look at my last creation - weeing dog. My first idea was to build telehandler or skid steer loader from set 8067 but after few unsuccessful attemps I gave up and began working on something extraordinary. Main feature of this dog is his lifting leg. You can lift it easily by turning his tail and then let him wee at nearest corner. He has also moving head and openable maw. And as it was written above you can find building instructions at buildinst.
  22. I'd like to introduce you my latest Creator alternative models built from sets 4916 and 5763. You can find building instructions for all of following models at buildinst. Snail Propeller plane Trike inspired by T-Rex
  23. I'm back with my latest creations. At first I'd like to introduce you scooter built from set 8048. It is not so big to use all pieces of this set but it still offers good amount of functions and details: single cylinder engine powered by rear wheel (under seat) functional stand steering exhaust pipe big headlight Another much bigger creation is my first alternative model built from set 8041 - formula. It looks cool and it features V8 engine, rear axle differential, steering and adjustable rearview mirrors. You can find building instructions for formula at buildinst.
  24. I'd like to introduce you my web buildinst that offers building instructions for unofficial alternative models built from Lego sets. It was started in April 2011 and up to date it offers instructions for 21 alternate models built from 6 different sets and I still work on adding new ones. You can find for example formula built from set 8041, telehandler built from set 8052, helicopter built from set 8048 and dachshund built from set 4916 and others there. Web is operated in English and Czech. So let’s go building and if you wanna add any comment, don’t hesitate and write it here.
