  1. I've finished new alternate of set 9393 few weeks ago. It is small helicopter with retractable landing gear and moving rotors. With retracted landing gear Little view inside
  2. After looong time I'd like to shere with you my latest creations built out of Lego Creator 31004. I appreciate this set very much because I like building animals and there was just few sets with "normal" animals in last years. So what have I built out of it? At first I've built rabbit. I don't know if it is some kind of abberation because the first animal that occurs to me is rabbit anytime. Dachshund is anothter model I built out of set 31004. He can also lift his leg same as my weeing doggie built out of set 8067 to relieve himself. I've used our new family member - dachshund Jessie as model for this creation. If you like this animals you can build them following these instructions.
  3. Thank you for your positive cemments! I appreciate them and I've also added video.
  4. I'm back with new alternative model build out of set 9394. I've built another crazy animal - red shark. I have been thinking about building fish since TSATS contest was announced. So this shark is moving its tail and opening maw when it is moved around. I've used modified mahj's mechanism from his for shark tail.Video is coming soon.
  5. It's Easter time and I've decided to celebrate it by publishing building instruction for Easter bunny built out of set 8048. Now you can build 3 different rabbits with help of buildinst. Happy Easter !
  6. Santa was little bit late this year so building instructions for forklift truck built out of set 8052 are available on buildinst only now.
  7. Thanks for great review. I was dreaming about this set when I was child. I bought it few years ago and motorized it just with addition of PF parts and one clutch gear.
  8. Nychase, I like your idea and I'm courios about result. I have been thinking about something similar (in smaller scale) since I began operating website with instructions for my alternative models. Unfortunately I was not skilled enough to program such website so I'm looking forward to yours.
  9. I know this phenomenon very good because few models of mine contains it too. Mostly it is caused by lack of gears or space...
  10. Cool cars! I have one question: where is motor that operates steering in your Red Fury? I can see just two M-motors that power rear axle...
  11. I've just uploaded forklift truck video here:
  12. I like your car very much - it is small, fast and simple. I think I will try to build something similar...
  13. Building instruction for RC hot rod is available at buildinst now and forklift truck video is coming soon.
  14. Thank you for replies! There is new instruction for RC hot rod built out of set 8041 and necesary PF parts at buildinst.
  15. Yes, I am. It was built just out of set 8052 plus piece of thread so it is alternate.
  16. I was thinking about it too. It looks like dozer with fork or with ski...
  17. After many grohl's alternates from set 8052 I'm adding one mine again - forklift truck. I have to admit that I've used one non-lego part - about 30 cm long thread. And what does this truck feature? motorized fork lifting via winch with thread (M-motor is used both for driving and braking forks) mast tilting via hand-operated linear actuator bearing capacity at least 250 g - I had to add little reinforcement that is not visible in pictures yet because mast was bending under load rear axle steering easy battery box removing many little details like steering wheel, seat, rearview mirrors, joystick for operating forks etc. I've also used few interesting structural tricks - crossing of steering axle and linear actuator driving axle without using gears and steering is made also without using any gear (except that 20 teeth double bevel gear on roof). I plan to do some little improvements during making building instructions. I'd like to add few lights (transparent round plates) and solve problem with lack of pins. And finally there are pictures here: And short video is here:
  18. I'm sorry, they blocked it because I used Ozzy's song. Now it is without music and are functional.
  19. I've just added link to video. You can watch it
  20. Yes, I plant to make them now. I was curious if people like this car as it is before beginning with instructions. Why not? It would be interesting to set a race...
  21. It's good review. I have this set in my collection too and I've bought it mostly for buggy. When I've built buggy I was little disapointed of its design and functionality. Fake engine is cool but it has realy bad steering with BIG steering radius due to narrow front axle and wide hood.
  22. I was working on my first remote control car during summer. I've decided to build it out of set 8041 with addition of PF parts. I have to acknowledge that it was rather difficult for me and I'm not totally sutisfied with result. So any improving ideas are welcomed. The new model is another hot rod that features: one M-motor is used for driving with gear ratio about 1:1 another M/motor is used for steering with return to center mechanism inspired by sheepo front V6 fake engine with moving pistons - it was one of main goals model is built out of set 8041 with addition of 2 M-motors, battery box, IR reciever and transmitter and little rubber belt out of set 5763 You can remove battery box easily by removing door and unplugging cable. And these are two chassis prototypes that I built during development: First has fake engine in rear part of car... ...and another has it in front of car.
  23. I bought this set today and I've just finished building tractor. I like it very much because it is another smaller set with many gears and other useful parts and also very good prise. When I opened the box I was surprised how full it was (most of boxes are almost half-empty). I like tractor's reaper mechanism - it is simple and functional and buggy's little fake engine. I also plan to build few my own alternates for this set. If we speak about TLC's famous combination of buggy and tractor it is really getting boring. I think they forgot set 8829 from 90's. It was my first Lego set and it combined buggy and motorbike - maybe we will see its recreation once...
  24. Building instructin for hot-rod (built out of set 8041) is available on buildinst now. Enjoy building!
  25. As I wrote in dokludi's topic yesterday I was working on replica of tractor 9393 too and this is my result. I've used LDD and I think my creation should be at least 95% accurate to original. Only thing that I was not sure about is rear axle mounting.
