  1. Very interesting, I like to know too how torque can endure without separating the new u-joints?, I usually use for steering, I loose steering angle, only a little but I never loose torque yet.
  2. I left my dark ages with the studless and now I don´t know how to build in a classic studded, in fact I only use it for the aesthetics and to strengthen structures. In my opinion this is the Golden Age, we have two building styles that perfectly complement, but I also think that the Golden Age for technic is every year while Lego exists.
  3. Thanks Nico you teach us a lot of with your MOCs, I think I will build it, I want to know more about pneumatic systems, thank you again.
  4. Congratulations for the steering system a good idea .
  5. Everyone are welcome here but is a pleasure to welcome another fan of the machines.
  6. You are right, I will try first the grey ones. Building that awesome vehicle I am thinking of doing a real one, with ptos, differential locks, gearbox and everything that I can put in, it could be difficult but that is the challenge, with everything RC of course. Seeing that I can do it more studs wide and longer may be I have room enough.
  7. A lot of functions and fast building, we have to create the fast building lego technic style . Good work but I think that if you rebuild the MOC again it will be much better, always happens to me. Thanks for mention us but all the work is yours, here we all help to all .
  8. I don´t like it yet, it is so big but is real... well... actually more a zetros that an unimog but still WIP . I have to put the yellow shock absorbers, the cabin has a lot of weight.
  9. Hispalug rules: The vehicle - The vehicle should look like a real one. - All wheels drive. - Must have cabin with seats and steering wheel (not functional). - Must have a fake engine and make it work. Furthermore, the number of cylinders to be consistent with the type of vehicle. - Rotation of the vehicle must be produced by steering wheels. In no step can be performed by changing the speed or direction of rotation of the wheels of different side. - Tracks are not allowed. - The all-wheel drive has to come from a single common transmission. - Maximum permissible width including wheels 25 studs. - The basic configuration of axles, steering axles, and relative distance between them must exist in at least an equivalent vehicle real. - All wheel and tire combinations are allowed provided they are original LEGO pieces. - All functions must be controlled remotely. - Active suspensions by remote control are not allowed. Electrical System - Use appropriate original Lego motors always fed their nominal voltage (usually 9v or lithium) - Only wireless systems can be used for vehicle control (PF, RC NXT or PBX). - A maximum of 2 XL motors for traction regardless of vehicle size. - It enables the use of up to 2 channels PF, or 4 independent functions in case of using NXT. Parts not allowed - Prohibiting the use of modified parts (cut, glued, painted or similar) - Prohibited use of parts other than genuine Lego except: tires, ropes and cloth as decorative elements only.
  10. First gear 10´4:1 Second gear 6´24:1 You are right Tim, there isn´t a large difference but it was the smallest gearbox I can get, only 4 studs of gearbox between the Lego unimogs parts (Steering Ball Joint Large Receptacle) with the least possible number of gears, only 26 gears from both XL motors to wheels. 16 Tooth with Clutch X 7 20 Tooth Double Bevel X 2 12 Tooth Double Bevel X 1 16 Tooth X 4 20 Tooth Bevel X 2 12 Tooth Bevel x 2 8 tooth X 4 24 tooth X 4
  11. The body is the most difficult thing . I like to test with new steerings systems as you say this may be a strong one for trials but needs more room that a normal one, it isn´t possible to put a piece more in the front axle .
  12. A easy trial truck with 2 gears and steering with a small linear actuator, with Hispalug trial truck rules. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VGVS4XgWTk&feature=plcp
  13. Nice machine, I have worked on modules like the crane is lifting many times .
  14. Nice solution, I think if you don´t use the unimog portal axles and use the classic old system you will gain more room, I hate those pieces what a bad design in my opinion.
  15. Three years asking you to do instructions and this was the way... if I had known before I had copied you the Viper .
  16. Let´s see two models... similar may be... completely the same never... I think the second one is a stud smaller and have different solutions, may be rebuild in a different way, who knows...
  17. It is difficult to make a real MOC but it is more difficult to do it if someone has already done before. Where the inspiration ends and copy begins?, who knows... I looked carefully both models and I think the small one is different enough in order not to be considered as a copy, in my opinion.
  18. Everything is inside the machine but I rebuild the steering system I used for the pics. I didn´t have any room and after try some configurations I got this, the real machine has 2 l.a. for steering so I wanted 2 but if you don´t want complicate your life use only one, it will work better than with 2. For your machine you need any room you can get.
  19. That little engine is the secret, always like everyone, I'll have to put it everywhere . VFracingteam I love it too, this time is costing me disarm it .
  20. I tried to make one but the car failed the drawing stage, too much difference between front and rear wheels it would never be really good with Lego, I think that huge rear wheels are one of the main characteristics of the GT.
  21. I think mine is smaller but with many more pieces, it is narrower and has the same wheelbase but the wheels are larger than the 8265 wheels. Any time is good for machinery Alasdair , thank you all for the comments.
  22. Everything is in the video, thank you for the help .
  23. It could be a Lego set, where is the B-model? , great job.
