  1. And seeing theirs pictures I learned a lot in this 3 years, thanks to all of them. For me "cool guy" is the one who produce something that I have never seen before and it hasn´t to be a great MOC a small good idea often surprises me much more, Sheepo´s gearboxes, Majhqa´s chains idea or Sariel´s autovalve are good examples.
  2. Another matter of taste what you call cool guys sometimes are not so good for me and viceversa. There are a bunch of great builders that produce awesome and complex technic MOCs like machines, clocks or GBCs and they are not called cool guys but for me they are.
  3. May be a City tank it doesn´t roll like a house in City doesn´t open windows or doors . Just a joke forgive me Lego City.
  4. I did it today I don´t have any study about them but they are very strong and I think that a medium scale MOC doesn´t weight enough to stress them. I see them like a extra feature in a MOC to make it more complex. I post here everything I do good or bad then you can evolve it and you try to improve it, the important thing is the new idea. I did it with a few pieces the idea is to put it with tandem wheels, with diferential or in the steering axle.
  5. Testing new suspensions for my Kamaz I did this, I think that can be a good suspension for medium scale vehicles specially trucks, what do you think?.
  6. I agree, I just tried to achieve a some rules but it seems to be imposible and it is not a bad thing.
  7. From my technic point of view I agree with the horse... It would have been better to use two rows of little Technic Link Chains.
  8. When I was joung I cut an 12 studs axle to make a 2 studs axle that I lost, it was for the 8848 set long long time ago I steel keep it.
  9. First test video, everything works fine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhDcrXepvuI&feature=plcp
  10. Well... now is time to use internal combustion engines in order to Lego will see that theirs are not so good and they will design new motors...
  11. We won´t invent anything here that is not really developed, the best thing we do is try to reproduce it with Lego. If you really want to do something really amazing you'll have to do it with the best possible materials and the plastic is not one of them, I leave that job to the f1 design although of course I would like to be able to reach it . One self-inflicted limitation is good in soccer accept not to use your hands and why they are so good with their feet, except goalkepper .
  12. I agree with you. I think if someone was able to make a sequential gearbox or a dual clutch one with only Lego, we can do everything and the way to achieve this is the fun.
  13. I_Igor I love your work with the wheels combination and it seems to me totally purist.
  14. You are right, I will call eliptic rubber suspension system . I will do a video when I finish the truck and let´s will see how it works... Thank you for comments.
  15. My new project, a Kamaz truck 4x4 with 2 speed gearbox, 3 diferentials, only 15 studs between wheels with the point of steering very close from the wheel, only 1 stud and 2 XL motors for propulsion. I tried to do a leaf suspension but I don´t know why I did this rare thing but it works , anyone knows the name? or I called jorgeopesi mad suspension system .
  16. I know you think wheels are a minor thing but another one can think like you but with the motors or u-joints, that is the problem, fortunately or not eveyone think differently.
  17. Ok, Lego wheels are worst than in the hobby RC... but Lego motors are worst too... and Lego axles are worst too... and Lego chassis are worst too... Lego in my opnion is to build and play with limitations, hobby RC is not to build but you can play without limitations.
  18. There are unwritten rules around the world that we follow. I draw, I studied art and I know is bad to copy the work of others so there are rules even in art...
  19. I thought I was the only crazy because I also use your fourth rule and it is a constant headache . The fifth it has nonsense to me because I couldn´t have done the open bucket of my front shovel for example, but they are your rules of course you command. Another funny rule I use is that I always try to cover all axes.
  20. I think at the moment there are only two pics the car and the machine.
  21. This topic is like "Wargames" nobody wins... everybody loses but it is good to know the different opinions. To be exposed any MOC is good I just hope that for competitions, like trial trucks for example, we can make rules.
  22. I thought that there were new pics, if you look for lego technic 2013 on google images you can easy see them.
  23. The arbitrary rules help me to be better, find new solutions, think more and compete on equal terms with those who do the same thing and I'm still saying that everyone can do what he wants I will have better consideration to MOC that I please. If these unwritten arbitrary rules didn´t exist, we would have adamantium around here
