Thanks for the review. Another great HP set with loads of detail and rare, one of a kind pieces. Can't wait to pick this one up.

So there's a sale on Kingdoms sets at my local TRU tomorrow and I'm planning on getting a bunch of these sets, namely, the main castle and dragon knight fort. I'm a little hesitant about buying the more expensive sets because of the pink color issue which would affect the horse barding. I've read that the issue was resolved and that only the first batch of sets had this problem. My question is, are these 'pink' sets still poping up? Has anyone bought Kingdoms sets recently (last two months or so) and ended up getting pink knights? PS. I bought 2 knight showdown sets when they first came out (March?) and I ened up getting pink knights and I haven't bought any Kingdoms sets since then.

So the inside of the capes isn't white like some pics have it shown? Great news, I want to use the dark green capes to add some spice to my dragon knight faction

Figures first and parts second. I got a great things planned for pretty much every part in this set.

Kingdoms Advent Calendar Availability
BearHeart replied to BearHeart's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
My problem is that I can't order it because of my current living conditions and mailing adress. I won't be able to order it until December when I move into my new house. Thats why I want to pick it up at a store. -
Kingdoms Advent Calendar Availability
BearHeart replied to BearHeart's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yeah, I saw the calendars at TRU one day last year and then I never saw them again lol. I work near a TRU so hopefully I can pop out on my lunch and snag one. Are they already showing up in stores? Should I be checking already? -
Does anyone know if the Kingdoms Advent Calendar will be available in stores? IIRC, last year's advent calendar was sold in TRU in North America and the LEGO website does not list the Kingdoms Advent Calendar as a LEGO exclusive.

I buy sets mostly for the parts that will help me in building fantasy themed MOCs. These include sets from : Kingdoms, Pirates Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, some Star Wars, PoP, Creator, some Space Police, some Toy Story.

Lol, this has something that I've thought about a lot too. I always use the longer part of the hand up, like the OP does in the picture.

Great review. I'm planning on picking up at least 4 of these sets :)

Any suggestions for how to use KK2 colored knights?
BearHeart replied to Shroffy123's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
You can mix the colored armor with black or gray torsos and helmets to tone down the colors on the knights and make them look more realistic like I did with my avatar pic. -
This is very discouraging. I thought the pink printing issue was only happening in North America. I'm personally waiting a few months to buy the two big Kingdoms sets (maybe around Christmas time) in hopes that LEGO will solve all the printing and color issues in the Kingdoms line by then.

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone noticed a difference in the quality of the dog piece in the new farmer impulse set. I bought this set recently and noticed that the dog piece has a weird texture to it. The head and legs seem to have a matte quality to them while the upper torso is smooth and shiny. Also, how does the quality of the dog from the farmer set compare to the quality of the dog from lets say the police man impulse set a few years ago or the Kings Castle 10176 set? Is it the same kind of plastic and color?

Maybe we'll see a small/medium farm sets that include cows.

I can relate to some of the posters here. I used to feel very awkward standing in the LEGO isle at the store and felt like everyone else was watching me and making negative judgements about me in their heads. But this has been improving over time. After four years of being an AFOL, I don't care nearly as much any more and I think in a year or two I won't care at all. I've come to accept that LEGO is my hobby and if some stranger at the store has a problem with it, its their problem, not mine. I'm in my late twenties and I've outgrown that phase in my life where I try to fit in with my peers and care what they think about me.

A crystal rock on the end of a staff looks good too:

Kurvinia, thats an interesting name for a planet. Care to share how you got that name. lol

True. I was thinking the same thing the other day. Those swords were made of a much more stronger and better quality plastic.

There ARE some in North America. I saw the wizard and jester sets at the TRU in Hamilton and I bought 4 wizard sets. Funny, I went to the Oakville TRU too and they didnt have the Kingdoms impulse sets there yet.

Slim chance of this but maybe a Chronicle of Narnia line with the Disney license. 3 Movies to choose sets from.
-
I see a Pirates of the Caribbean license in 2011.

Another issue I want to bring up is the printing on the Golden Knight armor in Drawbridge Defence. The printing on the crown in the centre seems to be way off in a lot of the sets. I checked eBay and only 2 out of the 9 Golden Knights had nice even printing while the other seven had printing that was either off too high or too low.

The color of my swords are normal but I have the same ugly notches and manufacturing errors on mine
