Question regarding LEGO CS and proof of purchase
BearHeart posted a topic in General LEGO Discussion
I recently made two requests to LEGO CS for broken parts. One was at the end of December for a broken Wookie torso/head piece from the Battle of Endor. After three days, I got an email asking for proof of purchase. I contacted LEGO over the phone and gave them the number from the instruction booklet and the CSR said I'll get the piece in the mail soon. She also said that LEGO required the proof of purchase because it was a liscensed set. A week ago (Jan 3rd) I made another request for a saddle piece, which had a broken clip, from the Echo Base (the one with the Taun-taun) and I have yet to recieve a request for a proof of purchase. SO my question is, will LEGO CS require a proof of purchase for this piece since its from a liscensed set or will then not because the saddle piece is not really a Star Wars specific piece? -
Wow, great Classic Castle colleciton! I'm jealous!

How expensive is the Geonesian Fighter set going to be? I'm guessing as much as the Grevious Fighter?

I personally think LEGO is nerdy but who cares, I still love it! I don't know how old you are but as some people said in the "closet AFOL" thread: you eventually reach an age where you don't care about what other people think, and I'm at that point at age 28.

Yes, I also went to a few WMs and the LEGO aisles looked ransacked. The LEGO section in TRU in Hamilton also looked really empty a few days ago, especially the SW section.

I was just going to write something similar about the horse. There are so many accessories for the horse fig (headgear, saddles, barding etc) that it would be a shame if LEGO remade the horse and made the accessories obsolete. I wouldn't mind, maybe, a redisgn of the horse as long as all the accesories still fit. BTW, I noticed not long ago that the black horse was sort of redisigned with new eye printing. I'm not sure when this happened, but I think in the last year or two. They're not. It says "preliminary" right on the picture. And I'll bet lots of money we'll see a classic pitchfork or a redisgned one. Having a brown trident as a pitchfork makes absolutely no sense. I think one of the new Space sets had a picture of a minifig holding what looked like a more realistic looking pitchfork.

$54.99 seems a little hight for the carriage set. The other 3 sound about right.

Yeah, those prices sound ridiculous . I think I'd take off 33% off the US prices for them to be more accurate. -
I agree that these figs are WAY overpriced and I'm not planning on getting any of them. I'd rather spend the money on another set where I'll get maybe 2-3 figs and some bricks. The only one I will buy is Sensei Wu when its release in the summer.

WHOA, I thought those were US or CAD prices at first! lol Those are pretty much exactly the prices I was expecting each set to be. I agree! leave the classic horse model alone!

I've wanted different colored horses for the last two decades! lol. I just can't understand why LEGO sticks to the black/white horse colors all the time and just gives us a tease of brown once every 2 or 3 years. I think I have maybe 2 brown horses out of the about 25-30 horse I own. If LEGO released a small set under $20 with a brown horse I'd probably by 10-15 multiples of it.

I was really pleasantly suprised to see that there will be more 2011 HP sets. I thought we'd only get the Diagon Alley exclusive this year. Hopefully this will continue into 2012 and beyond.

Yeah, these sets look like they're going to be REALLY expensive . With all the awesome sets coming out in 2011 in other themes (Kingdoms, Harry Potter, NinjaGo, Star Wars) I don't know if I'll be able to buy everything I want. If these sets are priced anything like the newest SW sets then I'm going to have to skip out on a lot of them. -
It looks like there is a Dragon Knights barding on the horse in the Escape set
-
Awesome news! So we're getting 2 civilian sets (lets asume the blacksmith is one of them). I wonder if any of them are exclusive, hopefully not. Blacksmith Attack - Small set with a blacksmith civilian. Escape from Dragon's Prison - Too blury but I don't have high hopes for this one. Still, it looks like a decent parts pack and army builder. King's Carriage Ambush - This set might have some potetial. The carriage is actually pulled by two horses, not the typical one horse carriages we've seen in the last few years. Another king's torse and armour are a plus too. I can't figure out what's doing the attacking. Is there some kind of tree monster in the background? Mill Village Raid -

Fair enough. Your first post did seem a little "trollish" to me but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I'm guessing the goats and chickens are part of the Windmill set. Sounds like its going to be a sort of medieval farm maybe.

Great Review. I'm going to get 2 of this set myself. :)

rumor you're trolling no pix necessary.

Can LEGO be damaged by heat/cold extremes?
BearHeart replied to Hyun's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I was wondering if anyone knows if LEGO can be damaged by cold? The reason I ask is because I'm in the middle of moving to a new house and I have a few large unopened sets in the trunk of my car. The weather has been pretty cold here lately ( below freezing) and I'm a little worried if my LEGO is going to be ok. It's been sitting in there a few days and I'm going to have to keep it there for another few days to a week more. Thanks.- 77 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion
BearHeart replied to legokuate's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Looks good! Seven must-gets for me in this series: Musketeer, Viking, Wolfman, Mad Scientist, Gnome, Monster and Geisha. Plus all the other ones come with great accesories and pieces. -
Lots of 2011 sets at the TRU in Mississauga near Argentia/Winston Churchill. They have pretty much everything except for NinjaGO and Series 3.

REVIEW: 7306 Golden Staff Guardians
BearHeart replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I just bought this set. I noticed the staff has a notch at the top where you can fit a crystal, what a great touch! -
I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of the Ewok set.

REVIEW: 7325 Cursed Cobra Statue
BearHeart replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Great Review. I'm probably going to skip this particular set myself. Not enough interest in it for the price. I might pick it up if it goes on sale and I have extra LEGO money laying around.
