I got this set yesterday and here is my 2 cents about it The good: - The new horse looks great, the color and printing is a nice change from the typical black or white horses. - New civilian prints - 3 Dragon Knights for those who want to expand their Dragon army. - New goat and chicken molds plus a pig with new printing. The bad: - The pitchforks seem to be made out of real poor plastic. Its not as high quality as the "wand" pieces that come in other sets. - The overall design of the buildings is a little lacking, I find. They seem a little rushed and it feels like they were just put in to make an expensive set with all the new animal molds and new pieces.

Yow! A Song of Ice and Fire moc! I've read all the books already and I'm really enjoying the show. Good job on the Tyrion figure, it looks just like he does on the show. I'd love for LEGO to make this series into a license theme but with all the adult content I doubt that it will ever happen. :)

I noticed that the Frog Rush and Monkey/Banada games are not available in North America but are available in Europe on S@H. Will they eventually be released in NA or are they not going to be available here?

I agree. Although I only buy the ocasional SW set(maybe 1 or two from each wave), I was looking forward to seeing what LEGO would include in the SW calendar. I can honestly say that after looking at it for just a few seconds, its going to be an easy 'pass' for me. I was hoping for some new figs, accessories etc. Apart from the novelty value of the 'santa yoda' I don't see anything here that would make me want to spend any money on this set.

I think that rooster is supposed to be a weather vane. Its not a live rooster.

This sets look great for the most part. I like the new accessories and the return of old ones. I'm going to skip out on the carriage set and just put that money towards more blacksmits and dragon prison sets.

If you're talking about the open collars then you can always use beards to cover them up.

This is a great set! I picked up two of these. Its a great army builder with 10 battle droids and two Gungans. LEGO was realy generous here, they could have given us a set with one gungan and six droids, priced it the same and people still would have bought it. The quality of the Gungan heads is really good too. I was expecting them to be made of the same softer material as the HP Dobby head but it looks like they used different, more sturdy plastic. In regards to the 'cheep chinese plastic'remark, even thoughthese heads were made in China, this is not the issue that everyone is talking about. That issue has more to do with the actual minifig parts (torsos, legs heads etc) that are in the collectible minifig packs and in some of the battlepacks. The quality of the Gungan heads is actually pretty good, much better than the soft Dobby heads from the HP sets.

Lol, I have plenty of 'Missing Piece Alerts' too but they're always false alarms Lol. (Knock on wood).

I like to watch TV or a movie while building a set. When I look at the sets I built over the years I can still remember exactly what show or movie I was watching while I was putting it together.

Yes, I've also noticed that some of my bricks creak after they've been on display for a while. I don't think they're being damaged but it sure is annoying.

I agree that Castle is in a great position in 2011, especially with the civilian sets on the horizon. I just wish LEGO would re-introduce some of the old factions (Black Falcons and Crusaders) but with a new look.

They should just make them all in the same plant then and have some consistency. Pick out figs for sets and battlebacks from the same batches.

I don't see why they can't just have the BP figure quality be THE SAME as the figures from the sets????

I got mine today too. I used the feel method as well since the dots were very unreliable. I only got 10 of them (some elves, samurais, chiefs etc). I'm looking forward to Series 4 a lot more than I was to Series 3 though.

Series 3 are available in Walmarts in the GTA. I just picked up a bunch this morning.

Does anyone know of sites similar to Brickshelf? I'm looking for a site where you can upload pics of your MOCs but also be able to comment on and recieve comments on the MOCs. I know you can do this on Flickr but I'm looking for a site that deals specifically with LEGO. Thanks.

Wow, thats terrible. I've always heard good things about LEGO CS and I've had several good experiences with them myself.

I loved lifting the lids and peeking into these sets as a kid. However, I think now with the internet, being able to see hi-res pictures of every set before they even hit the shelves kinda kills the need for that. Although I would like to see LEGO bring those boxes back for pure nostalgic value, I'd rather pass on them if it means it will cause the prices of sets to rise.

Bah! I waited too long too! Hopefully, the Red Queen and Wizard will appear in a 2012 set. Then again, it would make sense for her to be in the carriage set. I'm hoping that there is aa 2011 Kingdoms calendar and that it has a more civilian/peasant look to it.

I remember drooling over pictures of this set in the LEGO catalogue as a kid. I never did end up getting it though .

No, I wouldn't like to see a Classic Disney theme. If LEGO made one it would probably be very <insert that tiresome argument> long the lines of the Toy Story theme. TS had no interest to me apart from the Army Men set. I'd rather have LEGO concentrate on making more 'mature' themes.

This doesn't answer my question. I did not ask "Why do they require a proof of purchase for the minifig piece". Its kinda obvious why they need it. I asked " will LEGO CS require a proof of purchase for this piece since its from a liscensed set or will then not because the saddle piece is not really a Star Wars specific piece?"
