    Talzin mentions to Mace Windu how unlike Jedi etc, her power is through black magic, she herself is not force-sensitive. Hence needing to extract the living force out of Queen Thingy into the orb. So how does black magic work... Um... Magic?

    To those who believe that "it doesn't matter, you can put it back together" how about you try putting a bunch of same-coloured (but different design) space ships back together that have been dropped, especially MOCs that don't have instructions. Which part goes with which? How much of it is out of reach under the couch/bed/wardrobe? Did anything break? It's really annoying. A kid trod on my Monorail Transport System. On the domes. The base exploded everywhere, fortunately no pieces were bent or broken. He was actually already banned (by his mother who often visited the house) from the room unsupervised. Not like when a young woman tripped-up while trying to step over elevated track, that's a bit different to walking on & through a base as though it was a wading pool, to get to the shelf with the cool space ship display on it (that gets promptly dismantled). And yes, pieces can break or bend from being trodden on or dropped from height. I clumsily trod on a fire truck when I was young, and all of the panels were bent beyond use.

    Are they plain old "knock-offs" in the traditional sense or are they just someone's customs?

    Might be a different story in different markets, but in Aus it's most sets. Also, it wouldn't give me the polybag unless I buy the minimum amount (for our case, $100) of SW Lego. (In the past people have managed to get it with any purchase despite the advertising specifying otherwise. Just letting you all know that it doesn't work for me this time.)

    This is a key point. If it was easier to browse through and find submitted Ideas, I think great original projects that don't fit a well-known IP would get more attention too.

    New upcoming books were announced? The statement is saying that everything that exists is null and void except what Lucas was involved in (movies & CW), and the SW franchise is rebooted. New movies, books, comics, TV shows etc will be regarded as canon. There will be no "EU" as such. That is my impression.

Remember, all orders over $150 in total have free postage. Oh, and when you buy something SW, you get entered into the draw for 7 huge SW sets... most of them UCS...

    I personally like the speed, but unfortunately the resolution seems quite low to see much detail. If I could suggest something else, it would be to leave the "final" picture of each build on screen a little bit longer. To embed videos, just use media tags around the url. Quote my post to see what I mean.

    I think he meant that Lego can go yellow from being near cigarette smoke, or in a building that's been smoked in. It definitely makes it stink. I'm not sure what you're saying, does your Lego have smoke coming off it?

    Well built. Especially the hardware. Love the stick marks, even though I prefer clear heads except on the snare. Just like every shiny cymbal for sale on eBay, the camera & photographer's reflection are in the photo. Proof of nicely buffed bronze. You are right, it is very limiting with the brick, plate and dish sizes. Just have to pretend everything is 14" except the 21" ride! Shame you can't do 3x3 bass drum, that size would work if the pieces existed.

    Well executed, sometimes rainbows look great. Nice scene. Those minifigs though, ugh . I wouldn't want to be in their shoes, or in fact the rest of the outfit! Very funny. Nice to see a castle in colours other than grey for a change!

    I definitely read it somewhere, it may have just been in a DK book, so true or not. It may just be a retcon or coincidence. But I always figured that all Classics were on the same team. You never see them depicted in conflict or competition. Astros & cosmos all wore white so that vs theory sorta doesn't make sense anyway. If the "reds" are Russian, then the Americans would make more sense to be blue. Plus, red vs blue is an age-old rivalry. Perhaps a few ideas were thrashed around and they decided "let's go with white & red for a combination of the reasons we've come up with, and leave it up to the kids as to how they want to play".

I hear scalpers are going nuts over those, after what happened with the first release of the original Minecraft set. Too bad if real buyers actually wanted to get those sets at retail... You would pay $19 for a Legolas polybag?

    This photo you could share in the photography topic in the History forum, if you can dig it up. There are similar topics for Star Wars, Licenced Themes and Special Themes (covering misc etc) that I know of, the other subforums I don't know. If there aren't existing photography topics under the certain forum you wish to add to (eg Sci-Fi etc), maybe you could get the ball rolling!

    Also, Minecraft, square blocks, building & Lego go very well together! Warcraft is slightly different in that it is fantasy violence, and Star Wars & Tolkien don't seem to be out of bounds for TLG. But you are spot on about the others. Modern realistic humans v humans violence is something TLG will not do. I am happy with that, personally.

    A few weeks ago my (at the time) very pregnant sister made this for me for my birthday. Only present I got, but that's what happens when you get old I suppose. Best present ever. Finally got around to taking some pictures. The paint has scratched off a bit and the "studs" bent since it was given to me, due to me taking it everywhere to show off. A cardboard box that looks like a 2x3 Lego brick But it's much bigger! Inside are jars that look like minifig heads - except much bigger! Inside those are... LOLLIES, how cool. Three jars in picture contain Skittles, (Nestle) Smarties and Natural Confectionery jellies. Mmmm dinosaurs. The other 3 had square wrapped chews, Clinkers and... the other one I forget. Possibly Jaffas. "For the family member who already has all of the Lego sets that are within your gift price range"

    I like that APC. It makes those rockets look more like weapons rather than satellite launchers, but looks great anyway.
