That's pretty cool, Squeaker! And so (still) is Zack/Chris! But that's not you on the photo's right side?
-
You might have come to the conclusion, that if I write "this week" and it's Sunday now (even in Sweden) that this particular offer is over. Sorry, but keep an eye on this thread. I'm sure there will be some more good buys until april. Bionucle anyone?

The short answer is NO! For further information see Quarrymans post.

Late, but not too late (hopefully): Happy birthday, Captain! I hope you really had a good one today with stress-free work, or better a day off! I'm looking forward to see you in Billund (event 2010). But I assume we will hear from each other a little sooner.

If you ever read this, Apo: Happy birthday! I you don't: Happy birthday, nevertheless!

I would give my left little finger (well, almost) to see the complete Q-list. 2x4 in dark nougat? Yummy!

Great MOC! And a lot better than the "out-of-measure" official ones. Although I have to admit your almost studless shape is really good-looking, I would have preferred a design with more studs. Thank you for sharing your work with us, every town can be proud of calling one of these their own.

I love it when a plan comes together! The two childrens faces seeing me getting out of the store with those 8 sets were priceless! (No - you get none of those!)

Happy Smurfday!

Nice review ricecracker! I call some of the TT sets my own. They are fairly cheap - especially when they are on sale , and these sets tend to go on sale if you are patient enough. Last years TT sets went to my little sons (6 years) collection. I believe this set is one he would like: It's got a "bad guy car" and and a police one to chase it! Woohoo! That's what younger children love. I wouldn't give it an 8 out of ten. The parts used in this set are common parts, nothing really special and not many for that price (like all of the TT sets). And the 6x6 tiles are old? I didn't knew that. In which set were they released before?

I think it depends on what theme you mostly buy sets of. I cannot imagine buying a couple of recycle trucks (7991) to build an army, you know. But when it comes to Star Wars, Pirates or even space police that would make sense. I'm a townie, so I do it like Rick: Variety instead of quantity.

What's with the staff's usernames?

You mean the Smurf formerly known as Ras? -
Absolutely correct! But... you don't live close to Venlo, do you? About the six copies: I'll see how many I can get.

Yep, I know - more than 100 days to go (don't remind me of that countdown ), but the first money-savers are popping up. So everyone who will come to the event in Billund later this year may drop me a line here if he wants me to buy some of the sets I will present in the following weeks. Note though, that the members whom I haven't met at events so far (can't be that many ) have to pay me in advance, eventees who have been to one of the 5 events so far can pay me at the event. So what do we have this week? It's set 7036 dwarves mine: for just 29,99€! Of course all eventees may also offer sets they want to sell. And if you spot a deal somwhere close to you, feel free to use this platform, too.

I will definately come to the EB Event!

What would the BeNeLux whatever team be without you? -
Mörs, I see you are taking a break. One reason could be you didn't make us eof our stronmg search engine. If you look for "adverts", you could have easily found this topic. For all the rest: It's one of our best threads imo. Have fun!

I think there's one special person who deserves a big "THANKS" first and foremost: - TheBrickster - Thank you for giving the T&T such a big boost with TrainTech! And with all the great train sets coming out this year I'm sure T&T will do well in 2010, too.
-
At least it brought me an old friend back who posted a bit more over here than the last months. All the best to all the people around here, who made Eurobricks what it is right now! One of the best events this year is coming closer. Join the fun!
-
Not much time to go for this year, but time to revive this topic. So what did you buy this year?
-
Wanna go for a race? Then you'll have to beat me first! (just remember my dragster is approved, being first in a challenge in our 5th event this year)
-
I've seen prices over at 1000steine.de: Passenger train: 149,99€ Cargo train: 169,99€ (prices for Germany) After all, that's not too bad. Good point! No, they surely don't!
-
I wished I could say something similar about myself. I' m more the Lego guy rather than the technician.
-
That's exactly what I always wanted to build: An automatic train crossing! But I would like to build it with Lego only. Guess I will have to use Mindstorms bricks for that. Thanks for sharing your pics.

I was an extra in the german movie "Schtonk". When I was a student, the movie company (Bavaria) was looking for extras for this movie which was filmed partially at Schloss Drachenburg in Könisgwinter near Bonn. That was actually quite fun to see how a movie is created, to see the main actors and to get even money for it! The bad thing about the extras: You cannot see me in that movie. But we made audio recordings as well (party background). Last year me and my wife visited a famous german TV-show (guess which show!): We were only visitors, but luckily we were placed next to the moderators head. (My wife is on the left hand side of Mr. Jauch's head (red/white dress), me one person further (blue shirt, top of the candidate turning around).

Thank you so much for your detailed reply. Brilliant! Plain brilliant! I will have to use some of your ingenious ideas sometime. Clearly five thumbs up.
