  1. Btw. did you receive it? It should have reached you by now.
  2. Better late than never...
  3. Looking at the link you provided I would guess it's a) real but b) not an official item. Some "Extended Line" products have been produced in the name of Lego, but from different companies. I have never seen that stereo system before.
  4. Well, let's see the final result first.
  5. Thank you all my dear friends for your kind wishes. I had to work today, so nothing really special here today. I went for dinner with my wife in the evening. Yummy! The presents were really nice, my older son worked on a wooden sign for my new lego room, I got a nice drawing from my younger son, and tickets for a german comedian later this year from my wife, as well as the new "Wise Guys" CD. The big presents will follow in Billund from the 22nd of april on. One little change was overdue: A new uniform! (first contact, here I come!) This is my little work in progress: The step before printing the design to decals. My first attempt in doing something like that. Hopefully it will work out. (I'll come back to you, LuxorV, if not...) Look at my avatar - I will change it as soon as I'm finished. Celebration is on saturday - if you are around, don't hesitate to say hello!
  6. It is. Noticed. I will see about that tomorrow.
  7. Nice set number. Sweet sets - I have to copy one or two ideas of those.
  8. Imo it's by far the best ship Lego has ever released. So for every pirate fan this is a must-buy! And even if you're not into ships there are still a few parts in rare and interesting colors you might buy this set for.
  9. I was looking at this topic when you started it, because I'm really interested in digital "remastering" of photos. I'm currently working with Paint Shop Pro Photo X3, just because I grew up with it, starting with PSP 4 . I had PS CS 3 installed, but if you're working with it, at some time you're forced to learn the key-shortcuts by heart instead of just klicking at icons you can place where you want them. That was the main fact that kept me from using PS. Now you have driven me back to put some more time in working with Paintshop again. The main problem now is the layer issue. I've never worked much with layers so far and this may be the reason I wasn't able to produce clean cut-outs, as you did with the layer masks. I will definitely look further into this. Thank you so much for this insight in PS! At the moment I'm working on a new uniform for my avatar. (First contact, here I come!) It was meant to be a first work to create a decal for my real minifig. I had a fine result in PSP, but then I realized it would have been better if it was scalable. Then I started over again in CorelDraw... Of course it would have been a lot easier if I had made a digital version of it, but with a real minifig you have more possibilities to create photos in upcoming MOCs.
  10. Very nice find indeed, BigCam! ... and one of the most heart-touching background stories I've ever read. At least what Lego is concerned. Some points to figure out it cannot be an official set, even when not reading the link provided above: - there's no further writing on the box' front side (no price, no details and so on) - the minifig's heads and hands are flesh. Only licensed themes' minifigs come in flesh. - the badge "Legoland" is an old one (the creator says "80's"), but the heads are new. EDIT: Did you see this? I wondered how he did it. Very precise work!
  11. Sorry if I confused you. Of course it's worth it taking part in this vig-comp, this is an actual competition! Or are you fearing my MOC shown in the link will beat all of the rest anyway?
  12. Hey, I disassembled mine! Okay, okay - I start building another one... Something like Castle Neuschwanstein on a 8x8 plate. Great idea, Ras. I'm slowly getting impatient . Still 110100 days to go.
  13. Secrets over secrets and nobody never will know... :skull:
  14. This post made me want 2x2 tiles in all available colors. I haven't gotten very far by now, so if someone can help me out with some of his 2x2 plates to add my collection (I will pay fair prices), please let me know. Ordering from Bricklink for just some 2x2 plates is ridiculous regarding the prices for S&H. And now for this weeks special offer: Power Miners' set 8961 Crystal Sweeper for just 29,95€!
  15. Absolutely amazing! Assuming the Imperial Inspection Scene shown here is also yours, (EDIT: I looked again and you told us it was Mortens) I don't want to know how much you (EDIT: both ) spend on the minifigs. Wrong, I do want to know! Tell me in Billund.
  16. Do you mind to share the source? Do you have photos?
  17. Cool! Now that is a MOC where I would like to see more pics of! What's inside the back section? It looks like you made it slightly higher to put a bigger car inside.
  18. Thanks for the reply, Matija. But now I want to read the whole story... What's that frisbeeing about? (great poster btw.!)
  19. May I ask who the guy on the left is? (or is that a stupid question and I am the only one who doesn't know it?) Quite impressive bar he's wearing.
  20. If you look at my "Hello my name is..." thread, you would realize that there is no need to be jealous. But I didn't post any pics of my collection as I can see absolutely no sense in doing so. Please FedericoTorres keep working on you classic collection. I said so before and I repeat it: If you have build some MOCs with them I'm glad to see photos of it!
  21. Very well said! Who were the two rating this set "poor"? Reveal yourself if you dare!
  22. Sorry for being direct, but what precisely is the sense in posting your collection? If I want to see every classic space set ever released I browse brickset. It would be a different thing if you'd follow Harrison Bored and build something nice out of it. Then I would gladly return here and comment. For now you just placed the sets next to each other - that's just a big show off.
  23. This is almost a no-brainer: 1st: 6399 - a true classic and well designed in its city surrounding. 2nd: 6990 - very simple in its colors, but a very nice shape for the train. Looks faster than 6399. 3rd: 6991 - very futuristic. The engine looks like a B-model, not yet finished. The only set to come with points! Besides the track accessory kit 6347. Both space monorails look kind of blocky: Giant wheels, no closed dome in 6990, open structures in general. Somehow unfinished (I mentioned that before). But the playability is great for all three sets. In my opinion this is, what counts. I own all three of them , but for 6399 it's just the train, not the tracks. The red train is still build, the other two trains are completely disassembled. One motor went to my maglev train. The third motor is still waiting to be implemented elsewhere. I have some ideas but not the time to let them come true.
  24. This is one of my all-time-favourites! I remember when I got that from my parents at Christmas. What a lucky guy I was. And how stupid to sell it in my Dark Ages. But I got it back two years ago. No doubt: OUTSTANDING! is the only possible vote.
  25. You guessed right. The tankers are from that upcoming set. But there will be only one tanker of course.
