Okay folks, here's the newest sale (at real,- again): 20% off - now for 19,99€ Set 8060, called Typhoon Turbo Sub. I know - no big deal, but hey, that's all I can offer right now. Now to my own sale's offers: There's still one copy of the collector's guide hiding benath my desk, still sealed in the amazon shipping cover. I guess you all heard the sad story of one EB-member wanting to trade this with me, so I ordered it for him and then he cancelled the whole deal. So if any of you eventees does not own one (I own the premium edition already) here's the way to get one - I'd say special price: 20€ (normally it's 22,90€) Oh, and while sorting my bricks (and the complete room ) I found this: A Technic mini tractor, MISB. Interested? Let me know!

Winner of Swedish Robinson to buy Lego with price money

Okay, I managed the Mike-thing - where's my money? And fame of course? -
An AFOL, I mean a real AFOL is not stoppable by a closed park, is he?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Holodoc replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I have to agree to Polish Guy: The legs indeed look cheap! They do so at almost every minifig I looked at. I can only tell from the legs, but if the legs are made of crap plastic, why should the body part be different? 5$ for the first photo of a minifig torso without the head! And I'm really frightened by this. So TLC is not going to make cash like no time before, they even fool us with cheap chinese plastic? If we get to see a Lego representative at our event, there is going to be a clear word about that, I can tell you! I need to make my sig even bigger... -
Buying Pirate LEGO - where to buy, advice, tips and questions
Holodoc replied to Mr. Smee's topic in LEGO Pirates
That's what I've done several times now in the past: Whenever pieces are missing (and that seems to happen every second auction! ) I contact the seller with a detailed list and let him decide wether he will order the stuff from Bricklink or I will handle it. Normally the seller decides to let me take care of it and then I claim a certain amount of money back for that - depending on the parts missing. I have no idea for the odor-problem though.- 502 replies

Look at your title again: sweathart???
-
A couple of those 10017 hopper wagon sets would work very well, too: Like this: Just the color choice doesn't seem right, maybe you can MOC it to a different color?
-
... added with roadwalker and her daughter (roadwalkerette )? Then it would all fit in a 4 person room.
-
I am indeed going by car again, but not my own one. Boney and Zooro are going to pick me up early wednesday morning. Sorry, maybe next time in Günzburg again. By the way: Was your title "sweathart" all the time?

I wonder when Bonaparte will sign up here as well. After that will have happened I can echo as well: Same as you... Same as you... Same as you... So whenever our pirate ambassador will put his note down here, I'll stay with him.

What I meant was this: I hope the pic is now viewable... Could you explain what the difference is? Or did you mean double sided bricks instead of the first item? I wouldn't like 4x4 tiles. I'm even not fond of the new 2x4 tiles. Something you can also build with existing tiles. May it be 2x 1x4 tiles or 2x 2x2 tiles. I don't really see a need for this.

I didn't read the whole thread , but I hope this wasn't suggested before: We've seen the new "half-arches" in the new Grand Emporium (right under the ceiling there are a lot of those new bricks used). I love those, but they also drove me to the idea to aks for another kind of arch: We already have roman arches like this one: Wouldn't it be great to have gothic arches as well? You know, not a rounded arch, but one with a pointed bow. Like this: I posted that in the pirates thread, but they weren't too excited.

Now come on, people! We all appreciate Jamie posting here, but please use your head, before asking stuff like that! How likely will it be Mr. Berard is going to tell any secrets about upcoming sets here in the internet? Right. So please stop overstretching this issue. Thank you very much.

If you're busy that week - no problem. At some time you will have to leave your work and the first round will then be on me. (Better of course would be meeting in the creative facility... )

Thank you so much, jamie for giving some insight in the bricks we love and the way they are produced. We had the chance to visit the buildershop in Legoland Germany during our last event 2009. There we were able to have a glance at what they were building and even how they planned for example the big "Villa Hügel" for the Discovery Center in Duisburg. Here is a link to my BS-folder. The pics named pict0149 and pict0150 are about Villa Hügel. I would expect the building area in Billund to be at least similar to this. There is one difference though: the park designers build for bigger outside models, the team in Billund does smaller and tabletop creations. So it could as well be all different in Billund.

Wohoo Dennimator! Isn't there something missing in your calculation? I think 1000€ is a real price for that (one set is going for 250€ right now) - if it contained ALL pieces from 5 sets. I agree though, the photo leads to the impression that MOC does not cover everything. I would not be impressed if the seller is going to get rid of it. EDIT: Talking about 1000€ - look what's on sale, too!

So would I! Great idea, richb!

Now taking YOUR ideas for NEW PARTS - LAST DAYS!
Holodoc replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
They would fit with buildings for example, but I have to agree, it would better fit in other themes like city/modular houses/creator. The problem is: There is no such thread outside the pirate world. -
Now taking YOUR ideas for NEW PARTS - LAST DAYS!
Holodoc replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
In my opinion there's a niche for both parts. This would be the most elegant solution as well. Let's see what SlyOwl and maydayartist say about it. EDIT: I seem to be wrong! maydayartist's idea is the counterpart of item #3685 "Slope Brick 75 2 x 2 x 3 Double Convex" and so is SlyOwl's creation. What I thought, was maydayartist wanted the counterpart for item #3688 "Slope Brick 75 2 x 2 x 2 Quadruple Convex" I was misguided by the tube in the drawing. Sorry. -

Wow - I'm posting in the pirates forum! We've seen the new "half-arches" in the new Grand Emporium (right under the ceiling there are a lot of those new bricks used). I love those, but they also drove me to the idea to aks for another kind of arch: We already have roman arches like this one: Wouldn't it be great to have gothic arches as well? You know, not a rounded arch, but one with a pointed bow. Like this: Mr. Phes, I don't think SlyOwl's creation represents what Dr. Steve had in mind! SO's creation doesn't have the base centered underneath the four studs from the upside (the base is "sitting" underneath the filled stud from the upside), whereas DS wanted it centered, meaning it would be placed in the middle of all four studs. Difficult to describe, but I hope you know what I'm speaking of... -
Need 4 red Neck Brackets with Stud!
Holodoc replied to Dennimator's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Mmmmmmh - that would be too easy. But no worry, we will surely figure something out until the event and I'll let you know. -
Are we going to meet you in Billund at our event? Pleeeeaaaase say "YES", I'd love to meet you and your colleagues there!

Now that's what I would call a wishlist! I will have to take a look at my catalog to handle this list. You have found the right thread where to post your offers, so I'd suggest to merge this two topics. Hello mods/admins - please take over (or give me the power to do so )! EDIT: Now I found your other postings here. Now I'm really confused. Is your offer intended for eventees only (then my first post would make sense). If you want to trade with anyone visiting Billund (whenever) I believe your offer can stay here. Sorry if I made it even more complicated!

Nice review, mikey! I awaited it - it's one of the few 2010 city sets I will definitely lay my hands on. I agree with the ends of the trailer, but it's nothing some pieces of and couldn't fix. But for the trailers size I think it's well proportioned. If you like it shorter just MOC a small tanker without trailer out of it.

Shall we start a new campaign: "Bring back Windsor"? Well, maybe 2011...
