I am excited, too and I'm counting the days. Well, you certainly knew that. I didn't have vacation for 3 months - work is really, really exhausting right now and I can't wait to get some nice 5 days off everything I have to think about right now (including family ). This year I will be travelling with Zorro and Boney. My first experience here, too, because I always came alone or with my son so far. I'm sure we will have a blast on our way, but we will have to deal with heavy road work from Bremen to Hamburg. Hopefully it is not taking us too long to get to Billund and even more hopefully nobody is going to ask us about all that boxes in our car. I have stayed at the hotel two years ago, I know the surroundings - what more could I ask?

On my list.

Okay, seems like the market is saturated. Hurry up, if you still need something!
-
As you wish, master!

Mmmmmh. Although it seems I'm pretty alone with my opinion, I'll say it nevertheless: This is one of the figures that makes me think of buying NOT all of the collectibles. Same counts for the diver , the forest man, the ninja and the cowboy. For my taste it's a figure I can completely ignore without having the feeling of having missed something. I can understand those who want to 'army-build' with that figure, but in my Lego town there is no need for a zombie. Sorry.

I almost don't dare to post it, but there's 20% OFF all Lego sets at TRU Germany Check out, what's currently on sale here. 20% have to be taken off the prices shown! I'll go to Mönchengladbach tomorrow. So please let me know until monday, 3 o'clock pm GMT if I can get something for you there. As Boney's car will be crowded, please also let me know if you desperately need the box. The landspeeder would be 20€ at TRU.

Can't you rip another set for the great parts? I'd like to get all of those minifigs as well.
-
In my opinion it's just as simple as that: If you've got the money to buy, buy it now! It won't get any cheaper and it surely never will get on sale at S@H. So hoping on a bargain is a false conclusion. If you don't have the money right now and desperately want this set, start saving now. Even if you have a bigger wishlist for 2010, it's the securest way to buy older sets first. One exception: limited/ exclusive sets - these may run out quickly.

Absolutely seconded! If there wasn't the entrance fee... Mrblue, you might want to take a look at this page. They have a list of all PaB-walls and what they contain. This info may be older, though. By the way - the PaB area in Munich is the biggest I have seen. The other stores have much smaller PaB's. Best way to get new bricks is nevertheless Legoland Germany - the "Fabrik".
-
Some more information about that small event: We were asked to build an easter egg. They provided us with a lot of basic bricks in different colors, but we were also allowed to use everything (! !) from the PaB-wall. We had 45 minutes to build the egg with 2 prototypes to look at and some (bad quality) instructions. First I tried building with the instructions, but after 15 minutes of building and not being able to produce the exact shape I started over again and built looking at the original only. I had some time left in the end and started to build the little bunnie as well. I knew there were some very talented builders and some were really creative: The jury needed some time and came up with the results: 3rd place not quite what was asked for... but very funny, indeed 2nd place Wrong time of year, but the egg is fantastic! and the 1st place My egg! Price: A Winter Toy Shop! I was thinking of buying one before the challenge - lucky me, I did not do it. I checked back with Boney. He said it all will fit. Otherwise we will have to rip some boxes and take just the bricks to Billund.

Oh, you again! Nice pictures of the CTD. The only bad thing is the oh so common wheel wrench. Here something new would definitely have been better. And some side printings would have been nice. But all in all another "must have" on my list.
-
Well done, Ras! Although I have to admit I feel silly not asking for the maximum, I stick to my decision to ask jut for one 1x8 brick. Thanks
-
Okay, guess who will have collected all minifigs first. Nice little review again, Copmike. But in this case I have to say "Sweet, but no big deal this time". The minifig is jut too similar to exiting ones. The magic wand is interesting, though.
-
So it's all the ambassadors who get these collectibles first. Aaargh, the envy is killing me. Thanks for posting this news! Although I can't see any photos (I hope you posted some)

Calm down and remember: Eventees I have gotten to know personally in previous events may pay at the event! But there's something I would like to have: and I was busy and forgot to shoot this offer at ebay.de. I would have bidden a lot more. If someone is willing to sell his/her plates (only the new dark bley ones) or willing to swap with older light gray ones, please let me know.

The rating scale lacks one more number: (perfect) 10! Indeed a minifig to die for (besides the nurse, of course )! MUST HAVE! Can't wait to see these in Billund. You're going to take them with you, aren't you?
-
Well, I think I don't need any money this time.
-
Now you got me here! First I thought: Why in all the world did you use these colors? Then I saw you were referring to the BNSF loco, not the Santa Fe... Well done, mrblue!

I have been to the Lego Store in Cologne last night. I spend a lot of money, took care of Dfenz' PAB boxes, had a lot of fun (in taking part in a building competition - build an easter egg - and winning the first price ) and came back with 4 giant Lego bags filled with a lot of goodies. For example: 2 Emerald Night 1 Winter Toy Shop 1 Grand Emporium 1 Fire Brigade and some smaller stuff for me... So all you (Dennimator, Izzy, Morten) ordered is in a safe place right now. Up to now I paid more than 1600 € all in all in pre-orders. Time to bill the ones ordering! PM is underway for those attending the first time. The older eventees please be sure to have enough money with them when coming to Billund.

Thank you for another nice MOD, mrblue! For my taste all of your creations are a bit to blocky. Your MOD is all made with straight slopes. But the roof itself and the general apperance of the SF trains and cabs are more rounded, so the panoramic glasses should be (kind of ) rounded as well. A use of part no. 6091 or some spaghetti bricks no. 3063 would do the trick. I have made my own dome car, the only useable pic is this one: I'll upload some more photos soon.

What about placing the second track on the other side of the platform? I have to agree, it would be more realistic if it was two tracks next to each other, but TLG has never produced something like this.

What is better than an organized pillaging of toy shops on behalf of Eurobricks.
-
Indeed, much better!
-
Mmmh. Didn't think of it so far. I'll let you know.

2 for me as well, please! Ooops! My fault. I indeed was able to pick it up. While we are talking about it: Bonaparte, how much space was there left in your car?
