  1. Mmmmmh. My opinion: Although this is a very nice car, it doesn't really fit well with the original EN cars. It's all about the tan windows, you know. These cars consist of too much black to be a better than "normal" extra car. I know it's the limited palette of LDD, but in this case for me it just does not work out. A complete different would be a train with the EN loco (or any other black steam train) and just those cars.
  2. Ras, do you still need the magnet holder for the badges? I didn't find my old source, but I found a new company. They are selling this: These are the prices: 1-4 = 1,42 EUR each 5-9 = 1,20 EUR each 10-49 = 1,10 EUR each + shipping costs.
  3. Wow! Mrblue strikes again. Wonderful work. I would like to see more pictures of your excellent replica! Two questions: - The big slope bricks 2x2x3 aren't available in dark bley? - how much would that MOC be? Do I want to know? (the original one sells for around 130€ right know on ebay.de , at BL the cheapest one is at 170$ )
  4. YEP. What? What kind of calculation is this? A plate 10 studs wide and 10 studs long (10x10) is 11 studs wide???
  5. Impressive number of posts! But worth a special event giveaway nevertheless.
  6. Except Freddie
  7. One for me please I don't think anything more than "Eurobricks Event 2010" would fit on that brick if actually this isn't too long already. I fear I have deleted all e-mail about this deal two days ago to keep my thunderbird data small. I'll see what I can do for you. Well done, Master!
  8. I'm really surprised by this decision. As you already said, the store in Frankfurt is very close-by the upcoming store in Wiesbaden. The region I live in is even more populated and we have two stores (Oberhausen and Köln/Cologne) as well, maybe that is the reason. But a lot of regions in Germany (I am not even saying anything about the world outside Germany...) are without any store in 400 km distance. Funny though to read they are looking for a manager who comes with impressive sales results, ideally made in a big company. He/she has to have know-how in inventory-optimizaton and budgeting as well. I always though they are just selling what TLG gives them.
  9. Right. An in addition to that I would prefer just ONE 1x8 brick. My batch is growing too fast. Regarding the color: Anything besides black/red/yellow/darkblue/blue/lime. Thanks.
  10. It's my pleasure, but you do know Just to let you know...
  11. Who needs a tomogram, when there is body scanning (without dangerous rays)? Joking aside, very cleverly done, Kubik-Rubik! I love the realistic story you have told with your photos. Addition to that: Plain "tomography" is just a technical term for an image "cutted through" the body (in contrast to an X-ray photo, which is always a projection of all super-imposed structures). The most common use of tomographies is a) conventional X-ray tomography b) CT (computer tomography, to say it simplified: a lot of X-rays tomographies calculated in one bigger picture) c) MRI (magnet resonance imaging, a complete different story, without any X-rays, made by the spin of atomic nuclei (you posted an example for that)) EDIT: I forgot d) PET (positron emission tomography, even more complicated than all the three before )
  12. Aaah! Here they come. 5 copies put down so far. I'll keep the offer open till tuesday.
  13. This is looking good so far mrblue! I wonder how you will manage to put those dark gray parts underneath the cars, though. Is the relevant piece 30043 actually part of the LDD palette? I'm really looking forward to see the rest of the cars and of course the engine! Whenever you are finished with all cars it would be nice to upload building instructions and a parts list for others who wish to build the same. I'm asking for much, but you started it, now get along with it! Thanks for sharing the pics of a great idea.
  14. I have found something very exciting: Set 7688: LEGO Sports Plane Very rare, very exclusive, very hard to get. (not available at S@H!) Price: 16 € Is there anyone, who is interested in those 105 pieces?
  15. Thanks, Copmike for the review! We'll have a closer discussion about how you got it and so on in a few weeks... Exactly my thoughts! Captn Kirk also stated the same, so I removed my sig about the bad quality. Way to go, Lego!
  16. Very well done, strawberryice! I have been to Karlsruhe several years ago, but I remember the palace. Great work. I like the way you presented it in the Architecture surrounding and I love the micro style. What could be better?
  17. Light grey town roads. Could you specify which one exactly? There are various ones out there. or or or to name just a few.
  18. Woooooh! Tales of mystery and imagination. Excitement ON!
  19. Thank you. For the new tag as well. I printed directly from the CD file. Is there any advantage in exporting it?
  20. It's still the old paint job. Maybe a bit "worn off"? That's the problem of getting older...
  21. One birthday present I have made my own: A new uniform! The last one was handpainted and from the original series "Voyager": Now I wanted to advance to the next level, just like my archetype did in the series: With "Star Trek - First Contact" new uniforms were introduced and I planned to give my avatar this cool new look. Making a paint job is one thing, but as you can see from the image above, it's not sharp enough. So I decided to do it with decals. I bought a decal sheet almost one year ago when I was on vacation in Munich, but from that time on I lacked time to proceed further. Around my birthday I had some extra time to spend on creating the graphics first. I made a wrong first step in creating decals with a pixel based graphics suite. Big mistake. Then I realized I would be a lot easier if I did it vector based in Corel Draw. The result was stunning! Sharp, scalable design. I was impressed... ...until I printed the whole thing on the decal sheet: As you can see to the right, the recommended printer options were awful. I printed a second time (thinking my ink wasn't working properly), the result was the same (middle). I tried it with other settings and that idea was a good one (to the left). Cutting the decals with a new bought tweezers-scissors (is that a correct word? - I translated litteraly ) Fixing the ink with a fixative and then watering the decals: And now the most difficult part: Attaching the (tiny!) decals to the torso: I had to cut the shoulder parts though, they didn't want to stick to the arm. The "underground" is just too round to bear the decals. I first cut the decal part for that, but even then they didn't stick. So I took them off completely. Actually I love the design even without those parts. Here is the new Holodoc in all his beauty: Proud of wearing his new uniform. My BS folder with more pics. And finally I moved to another, more modern sickbay as well:
