The Mr Saxon arc is less prominent than Bad Wolf/Torchwood as it has only appeared in present day episodes so far. I quite like arcs, sowing the seeds of what's to come: great for fan-boys. Interestingly, they've had humans becoming Daleks before numerous times: seeded to mutate in to Dalek creatures (Kaleds). But this is the first time it's happened the other way round. I actually think it works quite well with Daleks though, as it provides an interesting perspective in looking at the Dalek code. It also allows for the Dalek code to be questionned by the newfound human emotions. Which is cool, especially as here it made the Daleks turn on each other. For example, the scene with Sec in chains being lead round by like a pet really worked. We wouldn't have had that if the human/alien hybrid route hadn't been taken.

Just listened to 'Life On Mars'- David Bowie. Great song, really.

I watched the new trailer again the other night on the BBCi Doctor Who bit (just showing the trailer in a loop. Or should that be time loop...). Guess what I noticed. At the end, with Saxon wearing the oxygen mask, look at his ring. It is either the same or similar to the LazLabs logo: I'm sure it's a Gallifreyan symbol... *wub*

Mmm... classic Megs. *drools* in a Homer Simpson-esque style.

My God, the one in the suit, it's the Doctor! What's he doing there?

Erm... good point.

Sadly, a lot of the sets I want aren't yet available in the UK. So I suppose I'll just have to make do with what I've got. I may get the Recyling truck, and the small Castle set. Although actually I may wait and get these when the bigger sets I do want come out. Oh, so many possibilities.
-
No neither did I. I guess you really do learn something new everyday. Sadly, none of the ones I really want (small fighter, dropship, mobile drill tank) are available here yet. :-|
-
And it's scientifically accurate. I may have a look at this, but it's not really my thing. Sure it looks good, but I much prefer some of the other sets from this line. But it's on the maybe list anyway.

I might look at getting this. It looked good when we first saw pictures, but now it looks even better. The drill rover looks better than I thought it would, and it's actually a little bit cute. The orange really compliments the cleanliness of the white, and makes the whole thing look sleek and futuristic. I actually thought the alien vacuum things were engines. Oh well. I don't think the alien ship is brilliant, but it's not bad. I quite like the general shape though, just perhaps not on this. Thanks for the review. Even if the lightsaber vs aliens is starting to become a cliche...

Wanted: candidates for a new contest for a fighter
Brainbox replied to snefroe's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I guess that means it's 'out of this world.' ;-) -
Again. I know! Didn't we do well. Second to last. *Sigh*

They had some dancers at the opera where Anakin talks to Palpatine. I'm not sure if we saw them up close.

I don't know, I think if anything he should be a bit more frown-y. Actually, I just remembered, the new trailer's apparantly going to be attatched to Spider-Man 3 (week 3), Shrek 3 and POTC3. And the Shrek trailer's supposed to be unique. It's almost worth going to the cinema just for that.

And if the child get's it wrong, they're rewarded with a small electric shock... >:-) I'm joking of course. Please, please don't do that.

:-D (sorry, in-joke) Doctor Who is a British sci-fi series that started in 1963. The lead character is a Time Lord (from Gallifrey) who travels through space and time in a TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space), which has the outward appearance of a police box because the chamaeleon circuit got stuck. The TARDIS is bigger on the inside than the outside. The Doctor is able to regenerate (ie. change appearance), allowing the producers to change the actor and keep the series going. The Doctor is now in his 10th incarnation, and is being played by David Tennant. On his travels, The Doctor has had a number of companions, and has encountered a variety of 'monsters,' most notably the Daleks. The series ended in 1989, then was followed by a TV Movie in 1996, and a rejuvenation in 2005. BBC Official site Wikipedia link Hope that helps!

Was the pun intended? ;-)

That article just reminded me: It was good to hear the classic theme-tune being played by the band at the parade. Great in-joke. The same also happened in the second film, played by the street musician. Fan-boy geek on!

Wanted: candidates for a new contest for a fighter
Brainbox replied to snefroe's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Really? I posted more than two. Hmm... -
Hang on. Are we sure we're all talking about the same scene here. I can't think what else it could be, but maybe trooperdavinfelth is talking about one scene, and we're all talking about another. But like I said, I can't think what other scene it could be.
-
Or, to be honest, any of the other big markets. It's definately a UK thing, and it's got a bit of a following in Canada/USA. Hopefully, I'll get a few more ideas soon. Maybe I'll be able to do some upcoming Series 3 stuff. Obviously, I'll have to wait till it comes on to see. Plenty more where that came from!

Go on then, I'll see if I can come up with something different. Might I suggest that you copy the rules to this (or the entry-) thread, so people who didn't enter last time can find them without having to jump to the other topics. -
Hmm, I've not seen that. Any similarity is purely coincidental. ;-) Thanks.

I think I might get the two small sets. I quite like the new skellies, and the ballista is very nice. The joust is quite good too, and the knight/king there looks great! As do the horses, especially the white one. Thanks for the review(s).

It's called Regeneration ;-) Here we go... The TARDIS
