  1. It's based on an actual image from a comic. http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/48723 It's what was used for the official fig. I merely changed the torso and legs.
  2. I do have that effect on people, yes. ;-)
  3. I'll probably use the glider in a different vig, and I'm trying to do a Sandman as well. I also thought the wall may have been a bit plain, but since I built it quickly this morning it stayed as is. I may add a bit more to it soon. I was mainly trying to use the Doc Ock fig.
  4. I think a lot of us do!
  5. Damn, you beat me to it. Actually, Jack isn't back next time, the trailer was a composite of clips from the last half of the series: 42, Human Nature/Family of Blood, Blink, Utopia, Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords. Jack's back in Utopia I think. Here's a link to the trailer: Trailer 7-13 Harold Saxon. Gotta be an alias. King Harold, Anglo-Saxons. Ooh, he's stirring... I think it is Saxon in the oxygen mask. You know, if Saxon is the Master, then maybe he wants the rejuvention machine to gain more regenerations (he always wants that). You heard Lazarus say how it could cause essential immortality. The monster this week was pretty cool. And I'm still sure that the Laz Labs logo is based on (or is) Gallifreyan writing... Best bit of this weeks? "Shouldn't take that long to reverse the polarity. Must be out of practice." :-D Hearkening back to the Third Doctor.
  6. So, with Spidey fever in the air (I went to see the film today), I decided to make these two MOCs. 1. A more comics-accurate Goblin Glider 2. A more comics-accurate Doc Ock And a nice little vig to go with him: Full galleries (when public). Comments, criticisms and questions welcome.
  7. Well, with exam season fast approaching I was inspired to make this small MOC. It's nothing much, but I thought I'd share it anyway. So: There's always someone who realises they've not done quite as much revision as they thought they had... And the very small gallery (when public).
  8. I too went to see Spider-man. True, it did lack a bit of action, but the comics references and the fantastic CGI made up for it a bit. The belltower sequence was very true to form, and Venom and Sandman both looked really good. It did have a few funny moments in parts too, which balanced the 'torment' caused by the alien suit. I don't think it was as good as the second one, but it certainly wasn't bad.
  9. Went to see Spider-Man 3 today, and there was a trailer for Transformers. Nothing new, and we've already seen it, but it looks really good on the big screen. It's the one with Frenzy under the chair and Bonecrusher smashing through the bus... >:-) EDIT: My Woolworths has Classics Legends Wave 2 in store. Nothing spectacular, usual price, but get over there if you're interested.
  10. :-D Great! Especially Sandman and Kingpin.
  11. Question is though: Which of us is geekier? :-D
  12. Don't forget the Thai Fighters. :-D I do yes. They are quite well known though. But, how can you not have seen Star Wars?! ;-)
  13. Saw this at school today, and thought I'd share it with you. Of course, Star Wars geeks like myself will spot all the in-jokes and references. But even if you're not, it's still funny. Anyway, here's the link:
  14. I have to say, I've never heard of it. But, I kinda like it.
  15. Cool. The JSF isn't really anything new, but the dark blue is really nice. R4-G9 (presuming this is the ship Obi-Wan lands on Utapau) is accurate in being the correct colour and such. The Hyperdive Ring is also very nice, and it looks pretty sturdy. And then there's Kit Fisto...
  16. Nice. The droid mechanism is a novel, if unexpected, touch. Is it sturdy in holding the droid, or does it have a tendancy to flop? The dark tan is really nice, and I actually think the droid arms on the VD are quite good. It looks a bit more accurate now.
  17. Yeah, my history teacher's told us that one before. A definate classic. :-D
  18. I thought it was quite good too. Sure, it's not Doctor Who but that's the point. I think there is a second series in the making, which is good news. You know I sadi that the last two episodes were relevant to my History GCSE? Well, guess what we watched the other day! Daleks in Manhattan. :-D
  19. :-D :-D And I thought I was geeky!
  20. Hmm, interesting. I'm not sure what the music is, but it seems to fit quite well with the clips.
  21. Nice. It looks like it's how Lego would do it, and that's not a bad number of Clones you have there either. The green seats certainly make it look more accurate, but it's not like it looked bad with blue.
  22. If you scroll up, you'll see we were trying to decide whether to just announce a winner (pretty obvious who) now, or wait till the original closing date, May 7th. Which is Monday anyway, so we may as well do that.
  23. We're getting one apparantly.
  24. I (regrettably) caught a bit of Scooch performing on Blue Peter today as I was flicking channels. All I can say is 8-
  25. I will be watching it when it airs on BBC2 eventually, as I can't get Sci-Fi. It's supposed to start it's BBC run in June.
