Hmm, strange... *wacko*

Thanks. I had my French Speaking GCSE today. Thankfully, once I'd got into it a bit, it started to flow properly. The first part was OK, the second wasn't bad, and the third was quite good. Unfortunately, all of what I'd 'learnt' was different to what I actually said in the exam :-| Still, the teacher said it was probably A/A* level. Not bad... My next exams aren't till the 22nd and 23rd, so plenty of thime to make sure that I don't freeze up like our friend in the vig.

By all means, but you'd probably have to see how many people would be interested again. Perhaps you could add some sort of twist to make it a bit different. I might enter again though. OK, I suppose we should announce winners then. 3rd place- Rookyr, by Brainbox (heh, me) 2nd place- Cetus-01, by Ghoulrealm 1st place- Homba 7033, by imhotepidus Congratulations!

*Sigh* I want this now, too (yes, I know that sounds cliche). It definately looks way better than the original, and the droid rack is a nice addition. Does the rack push the door open as it moves, or do the doors have to be opened separately? Anyhow, this looks fantastic. I may get this, but probably not for a while (mainly because of the price).

:-D Apparantly, approximately -
That's what I presumed at least. So yeah, I'm also going to point out that this scene is in the film. Not sure why it needed three people though. :-D

Definately. It felt as if he was only in for a second before he was gone.

OK, so it was the 7th yesterday (yes, I waited for weeks and was late anyway!). Do we announce a winner now as per Optimax's original idea, or do we wait a bit longer. Bear in mind though that voting started about 5 weeks ago, and the results don't really show much chance of changing drastically. I'm looking for a consensus here. Perhaps we could set up a poll to decide... ;-)

Thanks. The original inspiration for the chainsaw came from this, although as you can see mine is slightly different. I thought 'mischevious satisfaction' was a better description. ;-)

Oh, how I wish there was a smiley where I could raise an eyebrow.

Another new MOC. I'm on a roll... So here I present a simple vig: Speed Camera. Nothing special, but quite true as far as some people are concerned. So, a man calmly stops his car after seeing a flash from the side of the road, gets out, takes a chainsaw out of the boot (no, I don't know why there's a chainsaw in his boot either) and walks to the speed camera... Gallery when public. NB: I am in no way condoning the destruction, damage or vandalism of speed cameras. I am merely pointing out that some people go to serious measures to not get caught.

I can't help but notice that we're just recycling idea from a few pages back now. I think they've all been suugested before. :-)

*cracks fingers* Here we go... The Baxter Building -
I've not heard that. There is an episode set on the cusp of WW1 (1913 I think). But I don't think it's the Empty Child. Instead the Doctor's facing the Jack Straws, scarecrow like creatures. The trailer indicates that they want a Time Lord. The plot of those two episodes (Human Nature/Family of Blood) is loosely based on the core premise of the Seventh Doctor novel of the same name (Human Nature), written by the same person. I won't reveal what happens (I haven't read the book, but I do know what happens), but there's a clue in the title... Perhaps. I doubt it, but you never know.
-
Perhaps, but seeing as how I don't own any of those and this was a quick MOC, I just used a white tile. Perhaps the blank white tile is better anyway, seeing as how our character can't think of anything to write. Pretend it's a writing exam.

Ahem, yes, thanks for sharing... (so do I ;-) ) -
The GCSE art exams were on the other week. My form teacher asked a boy if he did art. The boy replied with 'no', to which my form teacher said: "Really, I'd have thought you would, being so creative. I mean, you're thinking up excuses as to why you're late." :-D

I went yesterday as well. It was good, but I don't think it was brilliant. There wasn't quite enough action, and there probably was too much talking, but I loved the comic homages. The belltower especially. That said however, the CGI was good, with Sandman looking really impressive. There were perhaps too many characters to do something great with, and the comedy, while good, was a bit overblown in parts. TRoo much of a good thing and all that. To sum up, it wasn't a bad film, but I don't think it was as bad as the second one. Actually, there was a rather negative review in The Sunday Times magazine today. Which was ironic, considering there was an advert for the film a couple of pages earlier! :-D

I just remembered: the trailer I saw the other day said July. No date, just July. Strange.

I'd buy them. But I do see your point. I think it's unlikely it would happen, but I'd certainly love to see it. You've got the FF, the X-Men, the Avengers, and all the 'Marvel Knights', and a whole host of villains, HQs and vehicles (Quin-Jets, Fantasti-Car). Galactus would be a set in itself! *wub* In fact, even DC, to give Batman some supporting characters. Obviously, the appeal of Batman is his rogues gallery, and his gadgets, but other heroes would work well with maybe two or three sets each. Nothing big, maybe a base and/or a couple of villains.
