  1. Don't you mean, 'they'll be lucky enough to scrape enough money out of this to buy Old Kent Road.' ;-)
  2. Sell them at a car boot sale or something. You might get a bit for them. Not as much as if it was Lego, perhaps, but still a bit. Any money is good money, right?
  3. Perhaps if people learned to put 'This is a fake' or 'This is not a real set' on their fake set mock-ups. Then we'd all know.
  4. Woolworths website appears to be conducting some sort of sale on some items. It's not in stores though, I know as I went in today. It might be 25% off, but I can't be bothered to check. Oh, and to any Bionicle fans, Karzahni is available.
  5. Although they both had whole new lines of sets for each series. Heck, Alpha Team even changed personel for Year 3. But two sets? Hmm, seems a little lacking to warrant a new line after a year's gap. If it's just a continuation, it's still odd that there was a year's gap.
  6. I like the hands. Actually, it looks like he's wearing one of theose frilly cuffs :-D ! No, seriously, I do like the hands. I dunno, maybe (if possible) fill in the body. 1x1s or maybe a clip piece of some sort.
  7. ... and of course, the 'shaped' Lego pieces are a lot more use than the 'shaped' MB pieces. As in, MB pieces are often overshaped, while Lego pieces are useful simple shapes- curves, slopes, etc. I'd find an example, but I don't want to search for an image of an MB piece... :-D And, actually, I've just thought of something else. A few years ago, MB started to make something called 'Micro' sets, perhaps in an attempt to reach microscale builders. I know this as they were everywhere, all over my local Woolworths and Home Bargains (didn't they do well! ;-) ). But whereas Lego built micro models out of existing pieces, all MB did was shrink the sizes of existing pieces to a new scale. Now, that's kind of cheating is it not?
  8. Don't forget these. *screws up eyes in pain*
  9. Hmm, do I sense some shameless self-promotion? ;-) Hi Red, welcome to EB. I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.
  10. Hmm, I'll have to just keep looking. Just found this: CE Soundwave Reissue appears to be out in the UK. Look here.
  11. You know when people say 'they'll make a movie out of anything'? And until now it was just that, a saying. Well, um, this applies, as does the Sims Movie. I think I'll reserve judgement on this one. I mean, it can't be easy turning a game into a film. Hmm, I wonder why. ;-)
  12. Too right. But I'd be careful, you know what some people can be like with other people's things. Not that I'm suggesting anything about your classmates, I'm just saying. I wouldn't, is all.
  13. 'Lisa's First Word' ;-) Plus a few other not-really-words at other times.
  14. Yeah, that's what I meant. It looks just a little bit scrawly on a few of the lines. Still, it looks cool. Definitely Soundwave. EDIT (yes, again): Sorry, I forgot to ask. Has anyone in the UK managed to get hold of Legends Wave 2 (Prime, Megs, Screamer, Blackout)? In fact, are they even out, because I can't seem to find them?
  15. Here in the UK, Woolworths has #7998 Heavy Hauler for
  16. Now, the Trafford Centre, that's more like it. I hadn't thought about that ( :-$ ). I've not been for ages, but a Lego shop'd certainly make me go again. It was a bit much to expect, say, Scots to travel to Birmingham, let alone further South.
  17. Castle also has iron-ons and stickers, but I think that's it. http://castle.lego.com/en-us/Downloads/default.aspx
  18. Yeah, I noticed this yesterday. Nothing really special though.
  19. Um, take as much Lego as we can fit in our car/van'truck/helicopter (well, you never know). So that's Milton Keynes, Bluewater or Brighton. All, erm, in the south. Again. I mean, I wouldn't mind but the nearest one to me was Birmingham (and that was only because my grandparents live in Telford). But it's closed. There're plenty of big cities near me that could have a Lego shop- Manchester, Liverpool (European Capital of Culture, for God's sake), Leeds.
  20. Yeah, so did I. Thankfully it wasn't, as that's a great story. Well, unless you're her it is. Although, we all know we'd rather have a toy Yoda than a car! ;-)
  21. Hmm, this begs further investigation. Perhaps the trailer's not out in the UK yet.
  22. I believe 'cute' is the word.
  23. Nice finds. I might look out for Ironhide, I quite like him now after having seen him on screen. I wasn't too sure before. And, of course, I'll continue to search for Wave 2 Movie Legends, I love all the small figs- affordable, semi-accurate and just a little bit cute. Unfortunately all I've been able to find so far is Wave 1, and I now own all of them (Jazz, Bumblebee, Barricade and Ratchet). And, look on the bright side, you'll be able to find Ratchet anywhere... Bear in mind that I don't actually own any of the figs (yet?). Personally, I'm not too bothered about any of the non-movie Movie figs. So that means no Swindle, Wreckage, Payload, etc. So that leaves Blackout, 2x Brawl, Bonecrusher, Barricade, Scorponok and 2x Megs. I don't know which figs you have, but I wouldn't bother with Scorponok as the small one in Blackout suffices and is in better scale. Deluxe Brawl has the shoulder problems you mentioned, and Megs and Leader Brawl are perhaps a little expensive (although it might be worth it for Brawl). I actually quite like Bonecrusher. He's accurate enough, and the stubbiness only adds to the fig IMO. I mean, he's a little squat in the film, isn't he? So, obviously, it's completely up to you, but I would recommend either Barricade (the arm gimmick doesn't look all that bad, and there's a small Frenzy fig included) or Bonecrusher. But like I said, I don't own either fig, so take my thoughts with a pinch of salt. And let's face it, it was probably shot down by one of the Decepticons anyway. Perhaps by Blackout himself after he scanned it. EDIT: Could this be TF Animated Soundwave? As in, an official image? http://www.transformertoys.co.uk/content.p....jpg/image.html
  24. No, I know. That's not what I meant. But I do appear to have implied that accidentally.
