I second that. A bad pic is better than no pic at all.

Oh, that should be good then. Have we all seen this? I guess 'don't believe everything you read in the papers' applies now more than ever.
-
Uh-huh? ;-)
-
Well, isn't that what we all want? But seeing as how this is the UK, which is behind on distribution with, frankly, everything, it's never gonna happen. I remember one year when I had to wait till March for the new sets. :-|

Woolies has extended their 25% off sale from SW and MM to all Lego.

Not much to go on, but definitely something. Still, it looks really cool, and I can't wait for this to come out.

I think he's a new character for TF:Animated, but the name's been used before.

I've not really reported much TF news recently, have I? Well, here we go. So, next year we're getting Blaster and Arcee Spotlights from IDW. Personally, I think they're pretty good choices, as they're both reasonably iconic, and they're both pretty interesting (and all the fanboys fancy Arcee ;-) ). Next up, we have some TF: Animated toy prototypes (as in, painted prototypes) up on eBay. I won't link to the eBay pages myself, but all five can be found here. Up for viewing are Prime (deluxe), Prowl, Bumblebee, Bulkhead and Lockdown. I have to say, I'm pretty interested, especially in Prowl, BB and Bulkhead. Less so the other two though. And there's a TF: Animated clip floating around out there somewhere, but I'll edit in a link later when I find it.

Heh... I think this has inspired me to make something like this. I'll add it to the list...

Honestly, today was rather boring. Last night, however, was my old school awards/prize night. So not only did I get my GCSE 'certificates', and two trophy prizes, but I got to see people I've not seen for months. Have a good catch-up, you know? And there were plenty of teachers to thank. Anyway, I got the English Lit prize, for my 'top 5 in the country mark' as well as three courseworks at 52 (one short of top marks) and one at 53 (top marks), which is a big cup trophy. I also got the 'Success in Public Exams' shield, because of the aforementioned, my general exam success, and my general work. Both came with incredibly nice comments from the teachers as to why I'd been picked. And the headteacher slipped in a long hair joke :-D .

I, um, can't really remember... :-$ But it was definitely either 7110 Landspeeder or 7128 Speeder Bikes. Then it was the TIE X1/Y-wing, which I got from Windsor,

Very nice. I've always liked redesigned things, as long as they're recogniseable as having come from the original. Stuff like the War Witihin Transformers redesigns, that sort of thing.

Oh so did I. On equations, concentrations, amounts, etc in Chemistry. Sigh, God it was boring. However, I've not got any work to do this afternoon, so once I've wrapped up here, I'm off to do a bit of writing. I'm (going to start) writing my own comic. Not drawing, just writing. It's sort of half way between Heroes and X-Men. I was inspired after I enjoyed doing my creative writing english cwk.

Here's me: Sorry, that's quite a big picture. But it's either that or a really small one, where you can't really see much. Anyway, it's either a representation of me as Brainbox or me as Sam. They're one and the same.

Bought the UCS Batmobile today, for

Probably Jasper Carrot or Ross Noble. Both very different in style, but both very funny.

Great entries so far guys. I'm definitely entering this, it's just a case of working out exactly what I want to do. I'll probably start building at the weekend though.

lego batman to include man-bat and nighthawk
Brainbox replied to boxcar3's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Man-Bat is Dr Kirk Langstrom, who specialises in the study of bats. He experimented with a 'bat serum' to cure his own deafness. He (foolishly) tested it on himself (as all comic-book scientists seem to do), and transformed into a bat creature. His Man-Bat serum was recently utilised by Talia Al Ghul to turn the League of Assassins into Ninja Man-Bats, having acquired it through the kidnap and ransom of Francine, Kirk's wife. An absolute classic I might add. I'm currently enjoying the rerun on BBC4. :-D ... And Oracle. Yes. I do like Oracle. A lot. *wub* I'm definitely getting it. As long as there's a great cast of heroes and villains, and the same humour from LSW is kept up, then this'll be great. And there'd better be t-shirts available, like there are for LSW. -
Oh, I agree. I meant that I settled down and listened to my head rather than my heart. I've got other things to spend my money on at the moment. I mean, I'm supposed to be saving up for a laptop.

Or get to the end, and decide that you really want to MOD something... in the middle of the ship.

There're a few hovering round TRU UK at the moment. They're both City stuff, made up of Rescue sets I believe. I've not really looked that closely though.

If it's from Wikipedia, I'd treat it with a pinch of salt. I mean, it might be true, I'm not saying it's not. Just... don't rest too heavily on it, is all. It does have a somewhat bad reputation for the way soem 'facts' haven't been... 'properly researched' shall we say. Still, if it is true, they sound pretty cool. I mean, how long have some people waited for an Asajj Ventress?

It's funny, I quite like them as well. I'm trying to find a way to get some into my Batcave. Pretty much Gordon, Montoya (but she's off the force, and is now the second Question), Crispus Allen (but he's now the Spectre), Bullock (sort of), Maggie Sawyer, and a few other non-descript ones.

Want? Everything. Need? Everything. :-D Anyway, sales. It really depends where you are. I mean, I never seem to find a lot round me, but that's because there's not much of a Lego selection to actually reduce in price in the first place. I'd suggest to just keep checking in-store and the website of the shops near you, and check the bargain shops near you as well, I've found a few pleasant reductions in there. Oh, and the S@H Sales and Deals page. You never know what you might find...

Bizarro scary enough for you? Plus it means minimal (no) effort on my part... ;-)
