  1. Bane and Barraki. While Bane isn't quite as attractive as the Princess, the Batfan in me took charge. Besides, if I hadn't, Bane would've broken my back. :-D As for the Barraki, I just think they're the worst of the options there. And there's the head thing.
  2. X-D Would I ever? Although now you come to mention it... ;-) Anyway, nice work. It's nice to see the obscurity that is Clock King. Ra's and Ventriloquist are especially good, and as for Babs Gordon, well, I'm just happy to see that this drawing is deserving of her, seeing as how I do, erm, fancy her a bit. The character, not the minifg, I hasten to add (though how it's any better, I don't know). *wub* :-$ So, might there be more in the pipeline?
  3. Bit of a backlog of quotes to clear, so here we go: I'd noticed that too. Of the two main 'visions of the future' Kingdom Come and DKR, Supes doesn't come off too well in either. DKR presents himas a naive pawn of the corrupt establishment, while Kingdom Come portrays him as a pacifist who's just given up. The trouble with leaving it is that I so desparately want to get it finished. The glider is fairly accuate to the comic inspiration, but the handles are different. The Bat-armour is entirely brick-built, and while it doesn't look that bulky, it still looks pretty good. I have that problem too. I so desparately want to be able to draw well, because I enjoy it, but I just can't. With the possible exception of minifigs, though. It doesn't help that my outlining pen seems to have run out, so I'm going to have to find another (similar) one. :-| And there's the one from Hush where Supes is under Ivy's control (again :-| ). Oh, and there's a minor argument in Death In The Family, when Bats punches Supes. I now realise that my list was distinctly inadequate... I agree. The more Batsuit designs, the merrier. Actually, you've just reminded me of another character I'd like to see. I know we'll never get him, but... Batzarro! I mean, he's like Bizarro (my favourite charcter in comics, as long as he's the modern Bizarro #1) and he's like Batman. >:-) You mean the Lego Batman site that never gets updated? Oh, and welcome to all the new members who've strayed to this thread, perhaps drawn by the light that is the Batsignal.
  4. I don't thoink there's really a definite definition, but there are 'guidelines' to an extent. I've always seen it like this: A 'MOC' is anything oneself makes, regardless of how 'pure' it is. A 'Custom' is anything that's not official Lego. And 'purist' is someone who uses only official Lego. And I don't think I've ever used 'kitbash' in relation to Lego, but I guess it's be much the same as 'custom'. I suppose you could count 'custom' and 'kitbash' as two separate things, with 'custom' being anything made from scratch, and 'kitbash' being anything made from modified Lego pieces.
  5. Right at the moment, Let It Be- The Beatles. Fantastic song.
  6. Very nice, Batbrick. The Joker is great, and I quite like your Riddler too. And you did do a good job on Bats' cape. Another tip (and this applies to both men and women) is to draw the nose as a single line, or a sort-of smooth V, when drawing a head, um, head-on (no pun intended). While a full works well for The Joker, for some of the others (eg Ivy) the line might work better. Still good though. :-)
  7. Went to watch I Am Legend with my dad the other day. I have to say, it was a very good film, and I really enjoyed it. I think I might have to read the book now...
  8. Had another exam, got told by my tutor that my friend and I needed bother staying for tutorial, had a bit of a talk (yes, a talk) with my friend, and went shopping but didn't buy anything. Then I got home and read my Fantastic Four comic that had arrived via subscription, MOCed a bit, had fish pie for tea (very nice it was too). That's about it.
  9. After Exobuilders shameless self-promotion, I wandered over here. And I'm glad I did: nice photography, nice sets/props (especially the tank >:-) ), and a good deal of humour. Add that to the interesting premise, the community feel and the *shock* cliffhanger, and this is a very nice production. I look forward to seeing more.
  10. I am. For one thing, it's a bit different. Normally, the special item is a large-ish set, with some sort of semi-exclusive appeal, like a new fig or some chrome pieces or something. But this should be relatively cheap, and has nine figures, three of them all-new. I wonder what will fill the other 15 days? As I mentioned over in the Batman '08 thread, it certainly does. It looks like a very nice piece. Dwarfs Mine Defender A very nice set, by the way.
  11. Several times actually. Once in DKR, when he was wearing the armour, once in DKSA when he was wearing Kryptonite gloves, and he recently went up against Supes in Superman/Batman: The Enemies Among Us, when Bats was possessed by the Blackrock. But they're too much of good friends to fight without real reason, and one of them isn't usually of right mind. Thanks :-) . Yes, there will be one eventually, but it'll have to wait till I've got enough stuff to show. So far I've got a Batglider based on the one seen in Year One, the official Batwing that I've MODed into a more streamlined Batplane (ie two seats), and a suit of Bat-armour. Suffice to say there'll be a few other surprises in there too... which I've not actually started... or conceived. I'll either leave it till I've done Arkham, or do it before depending on how long it's taking. I'm going to leave finishing the updated Batcave until after I've got this year's sets, so I don't have to change it as soon as I've finished it. I look forward to seeing it. Hell no! Even in the comics, it seems to have no defined depth. Jokermobile On!
  12. I think I remember reading somewhere that both it and Indy were going to be available for PC. To be honest I can't imagine why they wouldn't be. Some of us haven't caught up with the technological revolution yet. :-D I suppose there aren't that many heroes to play, no. There's Batman, Robin, Nightwing, probably Gordon, a Batgirl, and possibly Huntress. There's the different Batman costumes as well, so there's a bit of variation there as well. As for the villains, there's probably going to be quite a few. Besides the 'main' villains there're a lot of more obscure/less well known characters like Man-Bat, Mad Hatter, Charaxes/Killer Moth, etc. Assuming this follows the LSW model, these will all be playable after they've been purchased using collected studs. Chances are, we'll get some good vehicle levels as well. Probably all the major Bat-vehicles, or at least the major transport mediums- Batmobile, Batboat and Batwing/Batplane. If this is like LSW2, there may well be some smaller vehicles scattered about the levels themselves, like a Batcycle or a jetski. I wonder if we'll get any bonus-type levels though. Because LSW had the ANH mini-level, and LSW2 had the Bounty Hunter levels, the minikit levels, and a few other bits and pieces. So what will we get here? The minikit thing might be on again, seeing as how we're getting them (at least, we assume that from the presence of the canisters). Maybe a level based on one of the films? Here's hoping for a TDK-themed bonus level.
  13. As long as it's the one from the 50s, with his face on the front! :-P Oh yeah, I do that to. There was a guy walking round in a trenchcoat today, which was billowing out behind him to a ridiculous degree. We were calling him Batman, untill I told my friends not to mess with the Dark Knight, as he's quite possibly the best martial artist on Earth. Didn't go down too well... If anything, the Batcave wasn't big enough! If it was styled a bit like Arkham, that'd be quite good. With a few rooms and a clock entrance. I'd probably MOD it bigger anyway, like I plan to do with Arkham.
  14. What?! You mean we don't? X-D Wait... I thought that was Lego Catwoman. ;-)
  15. I was going to do that, but I just couldn't be bothered. It's quite similar to yours actually, but I'm not too fussed on the holiday house, and I'll probably get most of the EF sets and most of the Impulse sets. And the games, Batman and Indy.
  16. I only noticed as I was typing my post. Weird how no-one seems to have noticed. Evidently, they don't have Batman's deductive skills or intellect. I frequently get told to shut up when I start to become a bit of a comic geek, citing endless knowledge about characters, histories and issues. :-D I don't mind backless buildings. It'd be one my Batcave shelf anyway, so it'd have it's back to the room. Actually, that's a point, if we get Wayne Manor, I'll have a shelf less to use... What else were we to expect?
  17. Ooh, tough. But... ... that's good news. Thanks mate. Heh, so do I! I'm obviously getting a bit tired, as I managed to read that as "and ate my friend Ryan." :-D Might yours truly make an appearance? ;-)
  18. I wasn't too fussed on the Burton Penguin really, I just quite like the attention to detail and acknowledgement of the different incarnations [of characters] that the game has given Pengy here. Hey, look on the bright side. You only have to put up with it on here. My friends at college get it all day, every day. ;-) Actually, that wasn't the picture I was looking at, but now that you mention it... X-D
  19. That wouldn't really bother me too much, but I guess a spread would be nice. And seeing as how we do get a red beard in the catapult, a brown one might be nice. And I suppose the black beard doesn't look quite as good, IMO. Oh, tell me about it. I think I'll have to prioritise: Lego first, everything else second. :-D
  20. Really? I heard they always kept a spare cell for Batman, for when he finally went mad. Wouldn't surprise me if Batbrick had one as well... Maybe add a few slopes and wedge plates as well, some at different angles. I quite like the truck as well, especially the giant ice cream on top. Plus, it's just the sort of thing the Joker would steal, seeing as how it's not that useful to commiting crimes, but it is a bit crazy. And of course it sounds like "I scream" which probably explains his motives. I mean, this is a guy who once killed all the people in the Gotham ponebook with palindromic names. I think you might be right. I mean, we got Arkham as a S@H exclusive in Wave 1, but nothing in Wave 2. So, if we use Arkham as a guide, an exclusive will be relatively big (
  21. Threre's hardly anything this year. Normally most of the Lego gets reduced, but this year there isn't that much. Disappointing actually.
  22. It'd be very cruel of TLC to not give us one, seeing as how it's what so many of us so desparately want. I mean, we've got two soldiers, a wizard, a troll, and (sort of) a skellie. Two soldiers... but no dwarf? I honestly think that's quite possible, yes.
  23. New, I think. As jedikermit said, welcome back. I was beginning to fear you'd been sent to Arkham... Aww, I didn't know you cared. X-D As for the Tumbler, I think the fact that we've got one at all is good news. So it's not as close to the real one as some of us would have liked. At least we've got one.
  24. Thanks for the pictures. You know, I wasn't that interested in this when I clicked on the thread, but by the time I got to the bottom of the page, I'd decided I want it. :-D The blues are quite nice, and the overall design is simple, elegant and has an old-school quality. Some of the little details are nice touches too, like the glove box, the engine, the boot handle and the speedometer. And of course, there's the classic nature of the car. Yellow Autobot-insignia-embossed special edition anyone? ;-)
  25. I had my Biology module 1 AS-level exam today. I think it went okay. I got soaked on my way in on Monday afternoon as well. So not only did I have the rushed afternoon I mentioned, but my friend and I walked around wet all afternoon. :-|
