  1. We have a great thing here in the UK, Collector's Editions. Panini UK prints Marvel, and Titan Magazines prints DC. I collect Fantastic Four Adventures, Batman Legends, Superman Legends, Justice League Legends and DCU Presents... (Batman/Superman). Each one's out once every four weeks, and it just so happens that I get at least one every week. Anyway, they print three comics each issue for
  2. Not necessary, true, but pretty cute. Sale also did art for Superman Confidential: Kryptonite with writing duties by Darwyn Cooke, I forgot about that one. Heh, not if I get there first...
  3. Not really. I'm too much of a purist to try something like that. I don't doubt the level of skill and artistic talent involved in such customising, it's just not for me that's all. I'm going to have to search through my books for a suitable and interesting panel to vig-ify, which should be fun.
  4. Well, no doubt I'll enjoy spotting the LSW cameos and references. I love all that, in-jokes and such like. The hidden treasure sounds nice too, and hopefully there'll be lots of really nice extras.
  5. Fair enough. I prefer Morrison to Miller though. Miller seems to have gone a bit weird with Goddamn All-Star Goddamn Batman and Goddamn Robin the Goddamn Boy Wonder. Unless you've read it, you won't get that. ;-) :-D That'd be quite a nice touch. It would certainly be in keeping with the comic element of the games, something which TLC/Travellers Tales does quite well.
  6. Don't you mean Morrison? As in, Grant Morrison's Arkham Asylum: A Serious House On A Serious Earth? Sorry, but I take my comics pretty seriously. And Morrison's British, so there's a bit of bias. I think it's likely we'll see a large number of villains. I think it was revealed a while ago we'd see Man-Bat, and he's pretty second-tier when compared to the likes of Two-Face and Ivy. Chances are, TLC will cram in as many characters as possible, just like they did with LSW and LSWII.
  7. No, Hush was Jim Lee. But the writer on Hush was Jeph Loeb, who worked with Sale on Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Catwoman: When In Rome and Superman: For All Seasons for DC, and Spider-Man: Blue, Hulk: Grey and Daredevil: Yellow for Marvel. He also provided the paitings for Isaac Mendez (Santiago Cabrera) on Heroes. Interestingly, he's colourblnd. Um... moving on. Thing is, I'm just not sure. Whereas the Agents bike is 'flat' this just looks more like an upside-down 'V' which is a pity. An Agents-style Batcycle would be pretty cool. That's a very interesting point, and not one I can explain. :-D
  8. Came home from my grandparents, and managed to finish my english coursework. Actually, considering a) I'd hardly done any of it when I started, and b) I was texting my friends while doing it, it didn't really take that long...
  9. Ah, but you'll notice I said "technically" thus allowing myself to pontificate just slightly into the realms of error, without actually being wrong. ;-)
  10. Slowly :-D ! I've not had much building time recently, I've been swamped with college work and such like. I'd like to get another mini Batmobile and another comic-based vig done before I posted everything. But I finish for half-term this coming Friday, so I'm hopeful I can get it up then sometime.
  11. Yes, he does look a bit frail. Well, it was the first pic I found and it just so happened (yeah, right) to be by Tim Sale, possibly my favourite comic artist. No, sorry, I still want both. ;-) She's one of my favourites as well, but probably for *ahem* a different reason. As for new vehicles, well, they're always welcome. Ane this year's are all quite different- a Batcycle that's not like Nightwing's bike (I may not be that sure about it, but it's original), a unique-looking sub for Robin, a Tumbler, and a little (cute) buggy, that surely gets a plus for sheer un-Batman-ness. Frankly, any new Batsuit would be nice, but a dark grey one would be nice, as would a black one. We already have a pretty good idea what a dark grey one would look like though, as it's in the Batwing instructions, as Batbrick pointed out earlier. Two in one day. I must be contagious. 1. I think you're right. Notice also that Freeze has a different backpack and gun in the actual boxart. The picture in the bottom-left still shows the old one though. 2. It does look a bit different, you're right. I doubt they'd change the design though, so it's probably just the angle of the photo or something. It's interesting that the box shows a black batsuit and the insert box(es) show a dark grey batsuit. 1. It may well be. But then, it could just be something to do with the big 'Preliminary' stamp. 2. I think it's built just the same as the penguins from the Batcave (not my pic, btw): 3. I don't really know what you mean. The missile at the back is one of the rubber shooters, the missile at the front looks like a flick-missile. 1. There's something there, some sort of flame, I'm just not sure what. If it is a castle lightning in red, then that's pretty cool (or should it be... smoking hot ;-) ).
  12. Trouble is, I don't think I want to acknowledge it. ;-) That can get quite annoying, especially if I'm looking for a face I've only got one of (it's usually right at the bottom of the tray). That said though, searching through does sometimes allow me to rediscover heads I'd forgotten about.
  13. I find that if you squeeze it for a while around the join before attatching it to your fig, then it stays on for a little longer than normal. I guess you could try things like blu-tack though. That or just don't touch the figs :-D .
  14. Tinifigs? X-D No sorry, that's awful however you look at it. ;-)
  15. Spent this moring travelling down to my grandparents house, then went for a walk this afternoon. Nothing too exciting, but never mind. Tomorrow, we're travelling home again, then I've got the afternoon and Monday morning to rush off a second draft of English coursework and a first draft of the writers commentary to go with it for Monday afternoon. It should have been due in yesterday apparantly, but I'm sure we weren't told...
  16. :'-( Batbrick and I just let out cries of pain on reading this.
  17. Well, technically he is. Nightwing is Dick Grayson, the first Robin, so he was in Batman Forever and Batman & Robin as Robin. But I do believe he considered taking the name Nightwing briefly in Batman Forever. But he's not been in any films as Nightwing. Trust me to go one better than Batbrick! :-D
  18. Thanks for sharing the find. These are very nice, perhaps because I like both the original sets anyway. The dropship especially is particularly nifty, as is the minivehicle that comes with it.
  19. The question is though, whether these designs were 'better' because it's the final year of EF, or whether that's just a coincidence. Actually, some of them are more like Targetmasters ;-) .
  20. Finally got round to having more than a glance at those hi-res pics. So there're a lot of stickers, but the cars themselves are pretty nice, and the minifigs are rather cool. I may not be familiar with Speed Racer, but really I don't care. There are some nice parts in some nice sets.
  21. Ah right. I just got rid of them.
  22. Um... both? No, we've not had white hair before (with the exception of the beard), and frankly any would be welcome. But now that we've got a fedora from Indy, TLC could give us a lighter-coloured one to match a trenchcoat for our hero-cop.
  23. My minifig parts have a storage box of their own, with drawers arranged according to what the pieces are. Assembled minifgs either go on display with the set they came from, a relevant matching set/display or on my desk somehow, for example in a mini-vig. Oh, and there are a few assembled minifigs in the drawers as I've not yet found a suitable way to display them, but want them kept whole.
  24. Thanks for the review. The set itself looks really nice, slightly crazy but very nice nonetheless (or perhaps because of it). I love the new dark brown colour, and the gold troll helmet is just *wub* I may be tempted to buy this.
  25. Certainly. Reasons to get this set: A cheaper source for a Penguin, a cheaper source for a Robin, a new vehicle for Robin, a cheesy-but-cool submarine for Penguin, a number of brick-built Penguin which are really cute and the novelty value of a Batman set without a Batman. As for a Gordon fig, we want a modern comics Gordon, like so: This is especially important (to me) as the other figs are of modern versions of the characters- Tim Drake Robin and Nightwing for example.
