  1. Wow! I kind of like how they've given the Penguin different hands, so as to emulate the films flippers. The Bat-packs, sorry backpacks, are pretty nice too. Gotham looks grim and grimy, with the right amount of darkness, Scarecrow looks nice and creepy, and Catwoman looks strangely attractive. And as for the Dynamic Duo, well... cool as always. It's good to see that the minikits and studs from LSW are still here. Mini Batmobile anyone? X-D
  2. Nice to see a selection of Advent Calendars this year. That is, assuming we still get the regular City one. This is pretty nice. What with the dwarf, the troll, the woman and (especially) the jester. That is such a nice hat piece. I assume this picece will be reused for Harley Quinn from Batman. Hmm, so if there we get more than one AC, can I really buy them all? ;-)
  3. Looking at the newly discovered (three times, actually) Castle Advent Calendar, might it be safe to assume that the jester's hat is what we're getting for Harley? In red and black of course. It's certainly a very nice piece.
  4. I'm about halfway through my entry for the neighbourhood contest, and I've got a backlog of MOCs to photograph. Oh, and I'm lining up to start a new community-wide project, but that may wait till after my exams.
  5. Todays will be done early, as I propbably won't have time later. College starts again (after Christmas), so I'm in from 2:00 till 5:00 this afternoon. Not great, but I get to see my friends again. Then at 6:00 I've got a panto rehersal that lasts till 8:00. How I'm going to manage to get home, get something to eat, make sure I've got what I need for the rehersal, and go, making sure I'm not late, in an hour I don't know. :-|
  6. Happy birthday mate. Hope you have a good day.
  7. Ah, very nice. All three actually. Add that to the fact that there's an alien with proper arms, and these are fantastic. 7644: Interesting ship, and I quite like the drop-platform as well. A bit Thunderbirds, which is always a good thing. The alien ship there's also okay, especially seeing as how it's a new design- dagger rather than circle. 7645: Well, it's a bit weird, but I like it. It's cute, in a weird way. Not too keen on the alien ship here, though. 7646: Not too bad. I'm not sure about the transformation, but apart from that it's okay. The mech's a bit different, so that's good.
  8. I'd imagine it'd be the same thing as with LSW and LSW2. You can buy all the other characters you've met but not played as with the studs you've collected, then play with them. At least, I certainly hope so. And is that Harley in the background?
  9. Oh, I agree. I mean, I enjoyed V for Vendetta, but I have to admit I was just a little tiny bit disappointed after I finished, because personally I didn't think it was quite the classic it's been hailed as. Good, yes. Experimental, yes. Revolutionary, certainly. But not 'absolutely brilliant'. For me, I much prefer a 'regular' comic/graphic novel to an experimental one. Give me a good Batman story over a 'powerful exploration of the genre' anyday.
  10. Yeah, I keep the boxes too. I collapse them with the flaps/tabs on the inside of the box, then tie them together in bundles according to size. They then go down the side of my wardrobe, where there's a gap between it and the wall. I don't really know why I keep them, but I do. And they actually take up less space than you might think. As in, there's plenty room for more. X-D
  11. Went to the library, and spent the rest of this afternoon reading the books I'd borrowed. Yesterday, I did a bit of MOCing, and some revision. Yes, I am exciting. ;-)
  12. I wouldn't say "boring" exactly, but I do see what you mean. Personally, I prefer the first three to the last two. But 'trilogy in 5 parts' does sound pretty cool though, doesn't it? Anyway, went to the library this afternoon. Just finished reading The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Volume 1. And it was very good. But I'm just not sure I'm a big Alan Moore fan. I don't doubt he's a brilliant writer, and he's written some pretty revolutionary stuff, but... I don't know. And I know that's sacrilage for a comics geek, but still, there're other writers I prefer. I don't know why, I just do.
  13. Yeah, but it's not the same is it? Getting them of BL just doesn't feel like actually getting them in a set. I'd certainly love to see them in sets more often. As for the new troll armour, I like it. Probably wouldn't want every troll to have it, but for some it's great.
  14. And of course, they could get their money's worth out of a new Batsuit by including it in more than one set. Just stick it in with the Bat-buggy or the Batcycle, it's not as if we'd mind.
  15. Yeah, it was snowing up here earlier. Then around lunch time, it stopped, and the little snow that had stuck melted. It's not snowing anymore :'-( And it doesn't look like it will tomorrow, either...
  16. Ah, Plo Koon. And Asajj Ventress. Oh, what the heck... wow! How cool is that. But if I'm honest though, I agree with others. It doesn't look that different. It is different, yes, but not by much. I mean, sure, it's got the nose painting, and it looks as though it might have some sort of ramp at the back, and it's got missiles (which look a bit odd actually) and better sized engines, and back plates that look better, but... I don't know. Don't get me wrong, it's very nice, and I'd jump at getting it. If I didn't have the original that is. Which is a pity.
  17. Got up late, read my S@H catalogue that came this morning, did a bit of revision for my AS exams next week, currently on a break. Yesterday was slightly better, as I had a panto rehersal. Not good in the sense that it's a panto rehersal, but good in the sense that I got to see my friend. Sigh, I want to go back to college...
  18. Currently reading British Science Fiction Television: A Hitchhiker's Guide that my friend gave me for Christmas... 2006. It's taken me a while to get started, but it's pretty good if you're into that sort of thing. It covers all the main British sci-fi series from Doctor Who and Thunderbirds, to Sapphire and Steel and The Prisoner. Also got V for Vendetta to read (I've read it before, but not my copy) and I've just finished the graphic novel version of the Heroes online comics (vol.1). But today, I'm mostly reading revision guides, and my S@H catalogue which came this morning. :-D
  19. You know I was wondering that. Weird... It's not so much the presence of missiles that's a problem, because as you said, the Tumbler does have them. It's more the fact that it's the rubber missile (I wish I could remember the fan-term :-$ ) that TLC puts in every set. The ones that fire dangerously everytime you so much as touch the model. Don't worry, I fully intend to, just like I have with the other Batman sets.
  20. The Troll thing is pretty nice. Cheap, dinky and it's a troll. I think I may have to pick up a few of these. The Skeleton chariot, again, is quite nice. More skellies arew always welcome. It looks a little big to be an Impulse set though. And I don't mind the horses, so that's not really a bad thing. And the Knight and Catapult is just more of the same really. Still, it's an army builder and it'll be cheap. And I'm quite a fan of that particular head. Yeah, dwarves would be nice, and it's a pity we've not got more available in a cheap way, but this isn't bad. And the chariot and catapult kind of crept up on us, so you never know what might be ahead. Maybe some other soldier units might be a good idea as well, rather than just having lots of 'knight' impulse sets.
  21. http://www.seibertron.com/news/view.php?id=12201& Lots of new and unique robots, eh? Cool.
  22. So, yeah, what did 2007 mean to you? What are the moments you'll remember, the thibngs that had a personal effect on you. Nothing too depressing though. ;-) For me, I guess the highlights were: Starting college, and meeting possibly my best friends yet. Lego minifig Bane. Heroes being shown on UK terrestrial TV. The return of the Master in Doctor Who. Becoming more established as a 'prominent' member of EB (thanks guys). So what about you?
  23. Well, I think it was said that Bernard Cribbins' character, Wilfred Mott, will be a recurring character throughout the series. Interesting. Where did you get that from, might I ask? And I suppose it could happen. Maybe the Chameleon circuit springs to life, and the TARDIS gets locked in a human disguise mode. Or maybe the 'heart'/eye of harmony/artron energy power source gets transferred to a human host. So, we know we're getting Pompeii, Agatha Christie and Sontarans (not at the same time, though). And we've seen the wasps, and some soldiers who might be UNIT. But, how's this for new:
  24. What's your 14 minutes compared to my 12 hours and 57 minutes? :-D Happy New Year everyone!
