  1. Hmm, I wonder who that could be... Anyway, I like this. I can see my umbrella in there now, and I'm glad you liked it enough to use it. The other details (ie the donuts) are pretty nifty too. Overall, it's a logical, sensible structure, with some cool insider details. But really, how can you make Gordon's office without the red 60s Bat-phone? *beep beep beep*
  2. Finally, all the problems have been sorted. I can log in on BS and here, and I can post here. Frankly, it's been long enough. Aww, thanks :-$ In that case, I'm off for a look (well, once I've caught up). Never! Besides, Lego's for life, not just for Christmas. ;-) Me neither. I just thought I'd be difficult. X-D Now that I can upload my pics, I can finally post Bat-Moc 3. Obviously I've got to do all the photography, but I'll try and get it up as soon as possible. As for your GCPD and Part 3, I had a quick look the other day, but obviously couldn't post anything. Both look really ncie, and I'm off for a proper look as soon as I've finished here. I have to say, I didn't notice my umbrella in there. Well, I've kept up with the frontpage news, but not really bothered to read the boards because I knew it'd make me wish I could post somthing. I see you've also got some more of those promised Bat-impulses up. I also see that I've managed to corrupt you into including some Kryptonite.
  3. Hang on, it's started? I wonder why we've not heard anything. At all. Actually, if you look here there's this little snippet: The date of the weekend is listed as 3-5 May. So if this is the tour, then Legoland is either the last port of call or the first. I'm willing to guess it's the first, which would mean the tour hasn't started (likely). Hmm...
  4. Finally got round to starting my suoersize Arkham the other day. Not got very far with it, but I've done a bit. Unfortunately I've been hit with the realisation of how many pieces I'm going to need :-| (and may not actually have). And now I can access my BS again, I'll finally be able to clear the MOC backlog. That means Bat-Moc part 3 will be up soon, along with a few other bits and pieces.
  5. Finally I can actually post. It's been a long few weeks... I have to say, I rather like the idea of this. So it's not going to be an intense read, but it'll be nice to have what is essentially a hard-copy of Brickset. You know, for reference and the like. Hopefully it won't cost too much (although I'm getting it whatever). And I'm a sucker for reference books like this.
  6. I don't think I've seen them in a set for years though. It's good to see them back. But... 32 stickers? That's more than any of the first wave of EF ever had! Still, the set itself is very nice, with some nifty new pieces, and the minifigs are pretty cool too. I may not be familiar with Speed Racer, but I still may get this. I'll go and see the film as well, to fill in the background (of the set).
  7. Yes! I'm back! It's been long enough frankly, and I've really missed this place. First we had computer problems, then the Firewall on the new PC wouldn't let me log in to anything. Suddenly, it's sorted itself with regards here, but I still can't log in to my BS it would seem :-/ :'-) I didn't know you cared. But 'annoying'? Although you could argue that the Silver Age Penguin could have warranted a cell, what with his oft-used obsession with birds. And you're correct with Blackgate, btw. Unfortunately, the fact that I still can't log into BS means 'Bat-MOC Goody-Bag Part 3' will be delayed even longer |-/ But, on a related note, I've finally started my super-size Arkham, and realized I'm gonna need an awful lot of bricks... The Gordon fig from the game looks nice though. So I would've preferred a lighter grey, and a trenchcoat might've been nice, but he looks pretty good. And he's inside, so I'm stil holding out for a trenchcoat for the Batsignal scenes. As for the game trailer (I really have missed a lot, haven't I?), well, wow. It all looks really cool, especially the Catwoman/Batman cinematic which made me laugh. It appeals to fanboys, you see. The new HD pictures are also looking good, but not really anything we've not seen before. I do like that Batsuit though... Actually, now that I'm back... prepare to be punned! >:-)
  8. You're welcome guys. :-D Sorry, that just made me laugh. Yeah, so do I. They really were a neat idea. I do. But then, that's not very helpful, as I sit in English going through a book, listening to the class find archaic words, thinking "but, I still use those words." :-D
  9. Bear in mind it was probably quite bright inside when the pics were taken. I should think (and hope) it'll work better in less light. And there's that. I wonder if we might see some reprinted in the instrcutions? Or maybe TLC could go all old-school on us, and print full comics in the instructions, a la SW and Alpha Team. I, erm, may have to get all 6.
  10. Yeah, that's what I meant. And yes, I think it is one of the old 9V lights.
  11. Yeah, that's my problem (if you can really call it that) too. I've had to tell myself 'no.' Still, the alien commander is pretty cool. He has a sort of hulking look as his legs look perhaps a little small for his body. But in a good way.
  12. Well, I'm hoping to call in on Friday, so maybe I'll have a look. Unfortunately, if I decide to buy it (and that may well happen), I'll end up spending more money than I was planning to.
  13. Cheers for the reviews. They're both nice sets, and I think I just may have to buy both. Or maybe I'll get two of the dwarf set? The figs in each are really cool as well. The dwarf, well, they're just cool anyway, but the troll with the golden helmet and armour, that's just *wub*
  14. :-D I didn't think of that, but it's just the sort of thing we probably would see in the game. X-D :-$ Another sly reference to the 60s TV series I see, when every one felt the need to label everything. :-D I thought he did. But... is that hairpiece on right? Because it looks a bit lopsided. Either that or Robin's gone emo ;-) . Anyway, I'm not sure if I want a new hairpiece. I like the other one, the one he had in the Batcave. Still, doesn't matter, I'll just keep that one.
  15. Nice to see some of the moving bits, so thanks Count Blockula. The flick-fire bazooka is kind of cute, and the Indy temple set seems to have a seemingly endless number of moving bits. I guess it all adds to the playability. I like the addition of the 'handle' on the AT-TE. Finally, TLC are giving us something to make sure we don't drop the bigger sets in our collection :-D .
  16. I'm really getting into this theme. All the sets look really nice, and there're some cool new molds. That new pontail piece is simply *wub* and it's great to see TLC expanding in terms of hairstyles, rather than ust giving us the same ones over and over again. I'm surprised by the amount of playability in the HQ. I mean, there's hidden compartments, lots of mini vehicles, baddies, goodies, that projector, the whole transforming truck idea... The other sets are nice too. There are a load of great photos here (60!), which really show the sets in more detail. It's nice to see the boxes have a comic, they're always good. Try these out for closeups: Techie 6-legged bad guy Ponytail 1 Ponytail 2 Flame-haired bad guy (who appears to have some sort of nosebleed *wacko* ) There are some cool new faces there as well, not to mention that cyborg arm attatchment *wub*
  17. It is a bit odd, yeah. Tall, but a bit, well, squashed. I quite like the look of the helicopter. And is that a flare in the rescue pod?
  18. It's Batman Begins/The Dark Knight style, but in dark grey instead of black. I would've preferred it in black, but it's nice enough, so I'll settle.
  19. I guess. But Bane scares him more. He's a symbol of defeat, of failure, of a lack of preparation, etc. I hope not. He is supposed to be really intelligent. I mean, he figured out who Bats was. How many other people have done that? Not many.
  20. I agree. Although I have a feeling it'd weaken the doors if you didn't open them before you fired the missile. I'm betting Two-Face drops his coin down the drain at some point :-D What? Why are you asking Batbrick? Everyone knows I'm resident Bat-geek. Anyway, he's never had a buggy. Not in the films, the TV series, the Animated series or the comics. Although he has had a 'friction pod.' I like the 'I love Joker' bumper sticker though. So sweet!
  21. It's really good to see loads of new Agents pictures. I'm loving all the new molds in there, especially that ponytail in the Mobile HQ, that looks so cool. As for the sets themsleves, they're looking really sweet, and tere seems to be quite a lot of chrome in there. It's also nice to see some boxart pics for some things. It's the first thing you see when you walk into a shop, so why do people not take much interest in them? It also looks like Bats might have the new suit in all four sets, which I gues is good. I think I may have to take some time later to have a proper look at the pictures.
  22. Hi guys. I picked these up the other day, but it's taken me this long to get round to posting the reviews. So, here we go: Tub comparison with a minfig (thanks Brainbox): The lighting changes a bit throughout the photographs, as it was going dark outside, so I only really had my desk light, and I kept getting in the way. 4837 Mini Trains Now the box I really like. It's no different to those of last year's sets, but the colour here is simply fantastic, and really seems appropriate for the theme. So this is what you get inside. All the pieces are still inside the bag, the optical illusion was accidental :-D . No pieces of particular outstanding interest, but the dark green cheese slopes are rather nice. Look out for those later. 1 2 3 This is the main model, and uses all the pieces in the set (bar these two, which according to the inventory are spares, but as with all my other Creator sets, I'm cheating and leaving them in). This is far and away the best model of the three, and evokes the iconic version of a steam train. The green looks superb, but I'm not sure whether that's due to the model itself or the actual colour. Moving on, we get to the second model: 1 Leftovers (yes, I admit, I was using a piece of paper) This isn't actually a bad model. I don't think it's quite as nice as the previous one, but it's not bad. It's different from the first model as well, which is good. Too muich of the same can be a bad thing. Finally, we come to the third model: Leftovers Now... I'll be honest. I don't really know what this is. It's not that good a model compared to the other two. That's all I can say, really. And of course, all the pieces fit into the tub. Overall: I have to say, I do like this set, despite the weak third model. The strength of the primary and secondary models make up for any weaknesses in the third, and I can imagine the pieces being fully usuable in building other trains. While the basic idea of these tubs isn't quite as good as the X-Pods with regards portability and general 'niceness' they aren't bad. And for a fairly cheap price (3-4) as well. 4838 Mini Vehicles This is one of those set boxes that you see because of the ridiculously loud colours. Sound marketing scheme if you ask me. I've managed it again. There are pieces outside the bag. Or are there? Now these I like *y* . 1 2 (I don't know what the clip is for, there isn't one on the other side) 3 4 5 This is the main model of the set, and again all the pieces are used bar these three, the spares. It's quite a nice model, although the car's a bit odd. Still, I like the ramps, and the colour scheme reminds me just a little of G1 Ultra Magnus. Hmm, I think that boom arm could do with refixing... 1 2 Leftovers This is actually quite nice as well. It's that classic breakdown truck, and the boom arm itself is quite nice, with quite a bit of movement. Another solid model. 1 Leftovers I'm surprised by the amount of detail here actually. Not only have TLC included a spare wheel at the back, but also what looks like a trailer hitch, which all adds to the 'realism.' Another nice model to round out a nice set. And in the tub. Overall: I'm not sure which of the two I like better. When I bought them, and on the way home, I much preferred the train set. But after building this set, I'm not sure. This is another good set from the year when TLC seems to be giving us so many. There are some good pieces in here too, and while there's nothing unique, they're still good. So, thanks for reading, hope it helped someone, and if there are any requests, I'll see what I can do. That's requests for pics, not songs ;-) .
  23. Green engines for one thing, mini penguins for another.
  24. :-D I can think of worse things.
  25. X-D :-$ To be honest, I can't imagine them not being there. With the relative shortage of heroes in the game, I think we'll likely see as many villains as possible, Two-Face and Riddler included.
