It's got potential, definately. Tracked legs are good in principle, and I like the back here. The cockpit and orange colour scheme are also nice. But the limbs do look a little spindly, like you say. Still, the idea's there.

Ooh... I love APCs. This one is no exception, it's bulky, fierce and the chaingun looks pretty nasty (in a good way) too. Interesting technique you've used on the front as well. Hmm, I have a strange urge to build an APC of my own right now...

Picked up Tower Raid the other day. Like most of this year's Castle assortment, I like it. Three trolls and two Crownies; can't complain. I particularly like the extending ramp mechanism. I've only got 3 Castle sets and already I've got 5 trolls, 4 Crownies, a skellie (with horse) and a dwarf. Not bad really.

I... don't really care. No, I just go off my gut instinct. Droids, giant trolls, even the jellies, I class as minifigs. That's because it's what they're intended to be, even if they're not true minifgs. I mean, they're definitely not 'not minifig' are they? How about we class the grey area as abnormal minifigs?

Indeed it is. I may have to slip it into conversation sometime. Yeah, not that fussed on Supergirl. It depends on the artist, but she can be a little too thin for my tastes. That said though, George Perez's Supergirl isn't so bad. Trying to think of someone else...

It's difficult to say. None of them are actually in their original states, the Batcave and Arkham least of all. But I'd probably have to choose the Batcave for a number of reasons: 1. It's the Batcave. 2. It's the first Bat-set I got. 3. It inspired me to build my (WIP) Batcave shelf. 4. It's still the Batcave. But really, I like them all.

Oh so will I. It's not good. Oh I love that site! I only found it recently, but some of the stuff there is just plain hilarious. Perhaps. I think it's more likely to be Bane, seeing as how we already have him as a fig, and they'll want to include all the characters we have figs for. But hopefully we'll see Ras, perhaps in a sub-plot or something. *sigh...*

Picked up Tower Raid the other day. Nice set, I'm really getting into Castle this year. Thing is, I shouldn't have bought it from a monetary point of view, but I just couldn't resist.

Oh, I've no idea when mine are coming off. It keeps changing, as it's realised they've not done as much as was hoped. Today, I did a bit of work for college, got bored, gave up, then spent the rest of the afternoon helping my parents set up the wireless network.

What is it with there not being any good pictures of our favourite Super-hotties (to use your term)? Yeah... that did sound a bit weird didn't it. Mmm, not bad, not bad. Not up to the standards of my Zee pic, but still...

Batman: Gotham Knight Trailer and reviews
Brainbox replied to Batbrick's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Well, quite. I was tempted to buy BTAS Volume 1 the other day, but passed due to monetary issues (I can't afford it this monnth). I'm determined to get it sometime though. -
Still cool though. I especially like the way he uses his cane for ziplining.

Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...

I thought it was good as well. Much better than I initially thought it would be from the story brief. The Sense-sphere (from The Sensorites) reference was nice, and what was that "Your song is coming to an end" line all about? Hmm... Well, with two uses, it's got to be something. -
Oh cheers. I've not got any wall space at the moment, but I'll bear your offer in mind for the future.

Yeah, but at least it gives me time to complete the Indy game before starting on this one. For once, it was! Thanks, and you're welcome. And we know they're strong enough not to break under filling with pieces. Well, not usually. Indeed. I think I might add a few 'silly' ideas into the Batcave when I start it. SZome things from the 60s series, maybe, and a few Bat-things that are just plain funny. Well, after several hours of trying, the wireless connection is up. Well, I say that, but it only works on my laptop. It did work on the home PC earlier, but for some reason won't now. But mine works, so never mind. No, the one in my BS was actually from ages ago, from before you joined I think. It's the same size as my other 2 mini-BMs, but I'm not sure I'm completely happy with it. And you can have the DKR BM. ... I want a Riddler cane. I'm sure they will be. They're classic villains, so why wouldn't they be?

Cheers for the review. I think this set has a lot going for it. I mean, it's cheap, it's got two new hairpieces, a tent (which I've not seen in a set for years), an Indy fig, new pieces, chrome (what is it with chrome this year?), cool figs and... some other things, that I can't think of. *Adds set to 'must buy' list. No, seriously, I have a 'must buy' list.

Wel, exactly. It's cheap, neat and strangely cool. I think so. They're out in the Summer assortment, so whenever that comes out near you these will. The game's out in September though, I think. I saved a load (and I mean a load) of the polybags from sets, to use as parts storage. Mostly, they're used for storing pieces that I only have a few of, but are too useful and/or interesting to put away elsewhere. I've got a load all stored in a plastic tub. They're good for storing parts for WIPs as well. That's exactly what I was thinking. Oh well, I'll have to trawl through the internet looking for some unique Bat-items instead. Bat-umbrella stand anyone? Yeah, perhaps. But it's an Aston Martin versus a Jaguar. Mmm, cool... Yeah, they're all on my laptop, and I'm up to the Bat-MOC stuff (save one thing, which I couldn't be bothered going through) now. I'll get it up once I've got my wireless sorted. My parents are dithering over who's paying for it, and what exactly we need to buy. It was a very cool design, I agree. I've got a part-WIP micro Tumbler going in Bat-MOC, that I quite like, but I think there may be a way of improving... I just don't know what that is though, so I'll see what people say.

I think I might have to get it as well. That's another £40 to budget in, but frankly, Lego comes before everything else with regards spending.
-
Technically, yes. Oh yes. But you don't know how long it took to find a good picture of Zee in fishnets. I seem to have managed though. Interestingly, Zee looks a little bit like someone I know (especially in that picture). But I'm pretty sure my friend doesn't wear fishnets.

Batman: Gotham Knight Trailer and reviews

Meh, not so fussed really. It's unique and interesting, but I'm not 'loving it'. Deadshot looks good though. Yeah, me too, if only for the Wonder Woman extra. -
Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...
Brainbox replied to The Kid's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Hmm, not like me to have missed that. Might have to go and find the Master saying it. I assumed the planets were casualties of the Time War, but perhaps not... Oh, not you as well... Nestene planet. Tjhe Autons are technically only synthetic life, so it's be the Nestene planet, which accordinbg to one of the spin-off media is *checks* Polymos. -
I even removed all the smaller parts from my bley box, and put them in a bag, just to make some space. And the lid still won't close properly (it's a shoebox)! You know, I think I might have that in an old CE. Hmm, might have to go and have a look. Funnily enough, I was planning on doing just the same. I tinkerd a little yesterday morning, but couldn't come up with something I liked. I'm determined to make one though. But... it had a chase between two gadget-filled cars... and one of them was invisible! Undfortunately, i realised after I'd loaded them onto the computer, that there are 318 photos (not all for Bats) I need to sift through. Some are going to be bad, obviously, but that's still a lot to resize.

Official Speed Racer Licensed Product in 2008
Brainbox replied to ColdBricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
I might wait until after I've seen the film to get it, as I'll want to MOD it, and need to see the film to get a proper look at it in action (ie. the gadgets, etc.). If I was to buy them now, then they'd just sit there waiting to be MODed, and I'd have to leave the stickers off as well, so as not to be limited by their positioning when I'm MODing. -
Nice bike there, Front. Neat wheel idea, and even if the treads do slide about a bit, you may have something there. Perhaps it might be worth developing away from the confines of an alt model. I bought mine on sale too. £30 reduced from £50. Then I found it for £25 about a month later Oh I don't know, I quite like those.

I voted 'other' as I mostly MOC (and MOD) then display, but occasionally I have been known to play with stuff. You know, swoosh models, stuff like. Although I kind of view the actual building part as playing.
