  1. DKR Batmobile (scroll down a bit). That was the Batmissile actually. I'd say yes then. There are four sets, each with a different villain. They're all prominent Gotham rogues, and they're all cool figs. On top of that there's a new Batsuit and there's Robin, another key player in the Bat-mythos. The vehicle ideas are pretty cool, and the sets themsleves are fantastic.
  2. After all that. Really? I don't think I've heard that. Sunds good though. Yes, I think I've come across that somewhere. I don't mind the new angle, but I'd rather have the old Riddler back. From a writers POV, it's not that bad. It's a shock tactic that no-one was really expecting, and it's a way to revitalise the comic. But from a reader POV, well... Don't know, I've never read it. I don't even know what it's about (besides the obvious). Ha, my bad influence obviously.
  3. Yeah... sorry about that. And it's not strictly canon. But I'll let that slide.
  4. My it was warm today. In fact it's been warm all week. We had a fire drill in college ( ), and then I walked home with my friend ( ), despite the ridiculously nice weather. I also, um, had a doughnut on the way home
  5. Is there any fandom we don't both share? Anyway, the MOC. It's very nice, instantly recogniseable and pure TB. It's just a pity it doesn't have any of its gadgets!
  6. Yeah... sorry about that. It just sort of happened, in the lulls between set information. Thanks for the new thread, and we'll keep our geekery there from now on. Sorry again. Anyway, I finally got the Tumbler instructions to work. It's pretty big! I sense I may have some difficulties incorporating this into my Batcave layout. There are an awful lot of slopes as well. You really don't like the Tumbler do you? And you say the 'turning Gotham into ruins' bit like it's a bad thing
  7. DNA tampering? Well, the Cartmel Masterplan would have gone some way to explaining it, but it's not that clear as to whether that's actually canon. Indeed, it was.
  8. Really? I hadn't noticed
  9. LSW Han Solo had a proper gun. Besides, this is Batman, it's a darkert game (well, sort of) anyway, and the guns fit the character. And Scarecrow fights with his hat
  10. Ah, but, Harvey Dent was nicknamed 'Apollo' becaue of his boyish good looks. Hew must be at least somewhat of a 'pretty boy' to warrant the moniker.
  11. Good. In that case, be watching for the Batsignal.
  12. He's written weirder... I look forward to it. And if you need any oblique comics references or even any help with a script, you only have to ask. Hmm, I don't know then. It wasn't Gotham Girls was it? I think that may have had a short run as a comic. You know, I'm sensing a lot of TLH/Dark Victory parallels here. Joker burns the money just as Bats and Dent do in TLH, and of course there's the creation of Two-Face (well, the emergence of the persona, rather). Well exactly. Take it for what it is, it's great fun. I mean, two of the greatest movie icons meet two of the greatest icons ever. It's quite a long run, and the Riddler bits are touched upon, seeing as how he's apparantly gone straight and is operating as a private detective. It's Harley up next month, I can't wait. Hey, balme the CEs. But at least the DC ones are actually printing up to date stuff. We actually caught up to the States with All-Star Superman, and now we've done the same with All-Star Batman. Although the release dates for those are all over the place. I'm not that bothered in general, but I do have a bit of a liking of the FF. And it was just his marriage that was retconned, she's still alive. The demon Mephisto retconned their marriage to save Aunt May, keeping a small part of Peter and MJ's souls to feast on as they (the soul portions) cry for their lost love. But it seems that MJ altered the pact so that she'd remember the marriage. Peter can't though. Personally, I think it's a stupid idea. Along with Reed and Sue Richards and Ralph and Sue Dibny, the Parkers were one of the most enduring (and well-liked) comic book couples. Justice, Kingdom Come, Batman: War on Crime, Superman: Peace on Earth, Wonder Woman: Spirit of Truth, Shazam: Power of Hope, Justice League: Secret Origins and Justice League: Liberty and Justice for DC, along with Marvels for Marvel. He's done a few things for other companies, etc, including art on the opening titles of Spider-Man 2. He's very good It's a multi-part, so all the writers of each Bat-title: Batman, Detective Comics, Robin and Nightwing, so... Grant Morrison, Paul Dini, Peter Milligan and Fabian Nicieza (yes, I checked). Have you got to this bit yet? "We keep our masks on. It's better that way." You kind of answered your own question there mate. It's Tim Sale, of course it's good. Right, onto those instructions. For starters, thanks Chuck. And Copmike for those pics. Nothing too surprising coming out of them, but it's nice to see the comic in the Penguin and... hmm, the Tumbler instructions don't seem to be working for me. I'll check back later for another go.
  13. Oh, you'd be surprised at how much like some of the stuff from the 50s and 60s this actually is! Anyway, a very nice flyer you've got there Oky. Cute, fun and strangely practical. The Bat-cuff usage made me smile as well, very ingenious.
  14. One moment as I do the same... done. Ah, I've just thought of someone else! Lady Blackhawk:
  15. I think so. Surely the Doctor would have reacted if he'd seen her. Ah yes, I laughed a bit at that. Indeed, that is true. Then David Troughton, son of Second Doctor Partrick, shows up in 4.10 Midnight. And I forgot to mention, wasn't it good to see the Valiant show up again. That was a neat surprise. And watching The Claws of Axos today on DVD, I noticed tat I'd heard the 'Trap 1' and 'Greyhound' call-signs somewhere before...
  16. Happy birthday, my little green friend. Have a good day.
  17. Thnaks DJ, glad you liked it. Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. Perhaps I might give it a go sometime. Just let me go and have a look what it is...
  18. Really? Perhaps not strictly true but I'll let it slide. Anyway, I've decided to change my idea slightly, and I might as well share it with you now. I might see if I can recreate the history of the DCU in the Lego Castle period. From the Golden Age to now, via the main events and characters. Don't worry, I might call you in for some help along the line. No, seriously.
  19. This is a Batman story after all, anything can happen. That said, it's not Grant Morrison writing, so there's not much chance of that! No, just because I want it. But there's a bit of that in it as well... I assume you mean TLH? Unless it was Lego Joker and Two-Face in an all-out brawl? Neither do I... But I do really! No, I think it was a mini-series. She was searching for her father Zatara. I have now you've told me it's there! Yes sir! *salutes* I've just finished JLA: Kid Amazo and Superman/Batman vs Aliens and Predator from the library. Kid Amazo was okay, and Superman/Batman was really just an excuse for gratuitous crossover and shameless destruction The CEs I collect are currently printing: Fantastic Four Fantastic Four (albeit quite a way behind the US. We're on #535, while the US are on #557 this month) The Thing (currently on #5) Fatastic Four (currently on #35) Batman Legends The Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul (this issue had #3 and #4) All-Star Batman... just went on hiatus again at #10 Paul Dini's run on Detective Comics restarts next issue (can't remember what #) Superman Legends Last Son (currently up to #3, #4 next week) Justice (continued from the sadly cancelled Justice League Legends, the last half of #12 continues next issue/week) Escape from Bizarro World just finished Camelot Falls Vol 2 starts next issue Justice has been really good, thanks in part to Alex Ross' magnificent art. Resurrection... is shaping up nicely, All-Star is bonkers and Last Son has General Zod, Luthor and Bizarro- what more can you ask for? "Kneel before Zod." I'm hoping to get (52 tie-in) World War III, and the Countdown trades, along with Dark Victory soon. I read The Man Who Laughs a few years ago and loved it. It's an early years story, which is a good thing to start with. Then you add in the Joker and Doug Mahnke's artwork, and well... I'll let you read it. When In Rome was pretty good too. Sale's Cheetah is strangely attractive (you know, for a cat)...
  20. Jeez Sir Dano, these are getting more seductive by the minute... Not that that's a complaint mind!
  21. Me too! And did everyone notice the clever explanation as to why the Doctor didn't call the Brigadier out of retirement? Because he's stranded in Peru, that's why. Good old Brigadier. Anywho, nice episode. It was a bit exciting at the end actually, I was getting quite jittery. Luckily, I was on my own.
  22. Went in my Woolies the other day. They had Jungle Duel, Speed Racer/Snake Oiler and Cruncher Block. It's not a brilliant Woolies, so I wasn't expecting a lot. I was pleasantly surprised. In fact, it does seem to have been getting better these last couple of years. Then today, I called into a different Woolies, and they had Jungle Duel, Speed Racer/Snake Oiler, Cruncher Block and River Chase. The round the corner in a section completely unrelated to Lego (or anything for that fact) was Jungle Cutter.
  23. Though I'm not too sure about the back of the car being wider than the front. Still, easy to MOD.
  24. Hopefully, you'll be impressed. I won't go into detail, but suffice to say, it's noticeably different...
