  1. Ahh... damn. I was planning to do something like this, slowly retalling the Bat-mythos in Castle style. Once again, AFOLs thinking alike, huh? Anyway, a cool vig there Batty (look, you said you liked it, don't complain now), and worthy of an Elseworlds moniker I think. Even if you did steal the idea right out of my head!
  2. Well exactly. I meant that before, but maybe it didn't sound like it. Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-MOTHMAN! (yes, I know it's Killer Moth) Ah... now I have to get it. What? No, I lolve the new series, they've all been fantastic ( ). It's just that as a Whovian, I find some aspects harder to accept as true Who lore *cough*Slitheen*cough*. That said thouhg, I suppose they're no worse that the Kandy Man... And I'm not all that bothered about the whole "Rose, Martha and Jack" are all head-over-heels in love with the Doctor. I tell you companions of old weren't like that at all. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike the romance angle, I just think it's a bit far having three (almost) consecutive companions all with similar feelings. She did have a mini-series during the 70s, maybe that's it? Yes. I watched the (officiallt released) HD version earlier. Very, very cool. I don't think the white gloves look all tnat bad. Sure, I may well swap them out for accuracy, but then I may not. Hmm, decisions, decisions...
  3. Thanks. Now just wait till you see the others in the series.
  4. 3219 Mini TIE Fighter. Pfff, as if. 17. And no, I don't mind people knowing that.
  5. If anyone asks, just deny everything. Me. She's very nice... I, erm... no sorry, just
  6. Perhaps... Actually, I wonder if the Medusa Cascade is something to do with the Last Great Time War? Because we were told that the Nestene Consciousness lost it's planet (Polymos) and of course Gallifrey and Skaro were lost. The Gelth lost their physical forms, and the Greater Animus perished. Perhaps Sontar is gone, and it was a way of stopping the Sontarans from participating in the Time War.
  7. I know... but no-one bothers to read the thread Batbrick and I hijack anymore. They're just left to continue in forgotten corners of the site...
  8. I may have to call in tomorrow then. Not that I can afford either the Indy 4 sets or the Speed Racer sets I want...
  9. I quite like the idea of lots of mini-vehicles. It's a mobile HQ after all. What good would it be if it was under-equipped? What do you mean "unfortunately"? Surely different faces is a good thing? I like the laptop as well. It's nice to finally get one, and I'm sure they'll start to crop up in sigfig MOCs soon. I don't mind about the hair either. Sure, it would be nice to have a 'proper' hairpiece, but... look at it. Speedboat Rescue has two agents, the metal jaw piece that looks suspiciously like a bear trap clamped to his face, laser sharks and that strangely cute mini jet-ski/boat. Turbo Car Chase has a laptop, Spy-Clops (the baddie), a villain dangling from a rather cool helicopter, a Bond-style car in chrome and dark blue... and gadgets! Mobile Command Centre has several mini-vehicles, the two flying things, several agents, Doctor Inferno, batteries... Indeed she is And cyborgs are technically human (in this case).
  10. Thank you . Perhaps it's because this is a Lego site, and while I can show off my fanboyism without being contradicted, I can't show off my AFOLism to the same extent, as we're all the same (relatively speaking). Or perhaps it's just the puzzle that is me.
  11. Well, close enough! He was quite good in Batgirl: Year One. A bit of a loser, but still good. Yeah, you got me, I just want the moth-mobile. Thanks. I really need to find some time to work on it some more, as I'd quite like to get it finished. As I mentioned in my interview, it's just another of the things I have a near-encyclopedic knowledge of. I think I have to say though, that I prefer the classic series to the new series. Sure, the new series are great, but the classics just have that... I don't know. Especially the UNIT years. The Brigadier is just fantastic. Probably Seven Soldiers. Ego? No, I'm much to great to have an ego... How about we share credit? So has this one! Um... yeah, you're right. Funny, why didn't I notice that?
  12. Sontar-ha! Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Well, a place at least. And it seems to be linked to some missing planets...
  13. Ha! We're obsessive geeks. No super-hottie picture is inappropriate to us!
  14. Here you go: Yeah, that was the best picture I could (be bothered to) find.
  15. Thing is, neither of them are Super-hotties. Please return with a picture of a hot female superhero. Ah yes, Terry Dodson. A man generally renowned for the way he draws his female characters. They all tend to be rather... buxom.
  16. Ironhide looks pretty nice, I have to say, and I do quite like Sideswipe. He should look cool alongside his brother. As for the Legends, well, I'm a sucker for the Legends scale, and these look really . I mean, Hound and G2 Megs. I'm not really a big G2 fan, but it's certainly a class Megs design. Oh, of course, I'd almost forgotten it was 25 years next year It sounds like some really good stuff is planned. More Legends, good. Celebrations of all the series, fantastic. Hound, Brawn, Beachcomber, Ravage, Targetmaster Cyclonus, BW Cheetor, Prime... So much... Please, please, please... Ooh... Headmasters. As long as they're good, that is. And Trailbreaker, Wheeljack and (especially) Sunstorm are always welcome. I... have no idea who Acid Storm is. I would so buy that, just for the comedy value. Oh, I like the in-joke there. The girl who stole Powerglide's heart and all that. I'll be honest, this wasn't a figure I was expecting. Not necessarily a bad release though, as I never got him the first time around, and I kind of wish I had. Ah the old "repaint them, they're just the same" trick. And as for the photo galleries, there are some nice looking figures in there.
  17. Fair enough, and at least it wasn't the main present. Anyway, last night, we reperformed our panto at a school. It went really well, apart from my sound tech and I nearly burning our hands on a light, the glove we had to protect our hands nearly burning, a slight smell of electrical burning and... three lights blowing out! But all the cast turned up, which is good as it looked a little dicy for a while.
  18. Well, mine is. If my sigfig "looks like me" then that implies I'm yellow. Hence the jaundice joke. Ooh... nasty. Glad you're okay now though. Indeed it is... All of them! Bwah-ha-ha-ha-haa! Ahem... no, I really do like a load of sets, but I quite like Dwarf Mine Defender, and the old Mini TIE fighter is pretty nice, especially as I managed to get two, when some people struggled to get one. Strangely, you predicted my exact reaction with the second part of that comment (the question). Perhaps it's best to keep our geekery confined to certain areas of the site where few dare tread... And you'd get Canary. Wait... I think I just implied I fancied Bizarro... Ah yes, indeed. Thanks mate! Yeah, you just keep telling yourself that Oh, thanks... I think. No, I like everything being tidy (can you tell?), and I can't really function without everything being in exactly the right place. I swear, I spent 10 minutes the other day arranging all the equipment on the desk before a Chemistry practical. Other little obsessions? You mean Babs? Oh, well, I'm a Transformers and Star Wars fan as well, but perhaps not quite to the same degree as the aformentioned. What else? I play a musical instrument (Tenor Horn in E-flat), and I'm a member of an amateur pantomime society, from a technical side, doing the lights and occasionally the sound. It started in school, and the first panto was just people from school. The second and now the third (which we've just finished) was open to people from other places. I think I'm the oldest there, so we're all under 17, and it's just quite fun really. Besides that, I like spending time with my friends, who are probably the best friends I've ever had ( ). I like writing like I said in the Batman thread, and... um... that's all I can think of. To be honest, Lego, DC and Doctor Who are such big things in my life, they're what I focus the most time on. *getting up slowly from chair* *slowly* *slowly* *backing away now* *turning round* *now run, RUN!*
  19. A slightly late 'Happy Birthday' Batbrick! Hmm... you know how some mean people get/give coal as presents? Well, perhaps I should give you some Kryptonite. Which one do you want?
  20. *Puzzled look* That's a... slightly unusual birthday present isn't it?
  21. Thanks guys. For the interview I mean. It was good fun, and I'm honoured to have been asked. Took me a while to work that one out too... I considered putting in a joke like this, then passed. I wouldn't exactly have helped my reputation as the master (The Master? ) of bad puns. Thank you. And I was happy to share. I struggled a little actually. So many cool sets I love, so hard to narrow it down to three. That's because it's the best name there is Thank you. Although I'm not sure 'organised' is quite right. It's bordering on obsessive! Thanks. I have to say, I'm rather pleased with it. Cheers. I'll have a good search myself, then if I hit a dead end I know where to turn.
  22. I know! Everyone seems to be going after Power Girl, Supergirl and Wonder Woman (not that I'd say no), and ignoring the other Super-hotties.
  23. So... The Sontaran Stratagem. It's really good to have a proper UNIT episode, We've not had one since Battlefield. Pity there's not Brigadier though... And I notice the Medusa Cascade was mentioned again, or more specifically "the fifteenth broken moon of the Medusa Cascade". Is it a planetary system I wonder? The Sontarans weren't allowed in the Time War, probably because they'd have slaughtered everyone. And I liked the UNIT dating controversy in-joke- "sometime in the 70s. Or was it the 80s?" And in Trial of a Time Lord, the Valeyard seems to want to steal the Doctor's remaining regenerations (on his death, it should be noted). Step up fan-boy #1 I think it's generally considered that the TV series, The Sarah Jane Adventures, Torchwood, the DWM comics, the BBC books and the Big Finish audio stuff are canon. The Children In Need minis (Time Crash and the other one) are canon. The New Virgin Adventures and the TV Action comics are debateable. Dimensions in Time (Eastenders crossover for Children In Need) and The Curse of Fatal Death (comic relief spoof) are not. But most non-TV media is up for at least some debate.
  24. Well, exactly. You hold it somewhere at least a little Lego related, because that's what we do. But the main point is meeting other EBers, and what could put people off from that?
  25. I like it. I think blocky, "cumbersome" frame makes it look, for want of a better word, beefy. The legs are good too. If you're not happy with the cockpit area sticking out, you could always move the legs forward a little, so as to balance it out a bit.
