Thanks guys. Feel free. And to think I wasn't sure on the blowtorch design AFOLs really think alike, huh? Gate Defender next, then Sentry, then Fire Vulture. They're both already done, I just need to get the photos sorted. I'm planning to do the heavy Sentry/ Sentry mark 2 from the gate set after that, as I have an idea for that.

Wait... so the UK have finally got some sets way before nearly everyone else? As in, right when I can't afford them...

Killer Moth/Charaxes and his Mothmobile? Green, red, Batman's (or Ra's Al Ghul's) synthetic red, artificial, Kryptonite-X/Kryptisium, blue, gold, purple, black, silver, Smallville silver, white, magic, X (not to be confused with Kryptisium), jewel, pink. There are also others, including Anti-, Bizarro red, blood and purple spotted. Yes, but not much has happened, I've not had the time. You might be able to see what is done here. Ignore the small tower that looks a bit out of place though. It's not actually fixed, merely sat on the baseplate, waiting to be used. Hey, I would. Especially as she's never actually had her own title. Well, apart from that miniseries in the 70s, and four issues as part of Grant Morrison's Seven Soldiers. Interesting. Unless you got it from Batbrick, in which case it came from me originally?

Aww, cute. Made me laugh anyway. I've just had a go, and it's too small for all the regular clips, anf that includes the skeleton arms (both ends) and the battle droid arms.

Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...

Shame on you! That's what I figured it would mean. Not that true actually. I know we only get one series a year, but Tennant has done three years just like Hartman, Troughton and Davison. It has been implied that Time Lords can have a new set of regenerations bestowed upon them by artificial means, and it looks as though Time Lord regenerations can be taken from the Time Lord to somewhere/someone else. It's been going for nearly 45 years. How can another 5 really make it repetitive if it isn't already? -
Actually, yeah, that's happened to me a few times. I swear my secondary school are using my GCSE coursework to show people how to do it. Not that I made any efforts to retrieve it... Ah well, there are more than 16, but that's how many are currently commited to memory. Soon, soon. No, I don't know when I'll get it up. Probably this weekend. Because Harley's sexy and the Penguin is not. Really? Because it's a part of established community now that Bats originally had at least one 'heavy' tank-like Batmobile when he first started out, before switching to something a little more sleek and speedy. I don't mind it actually. At least the effort was made to include a different umbrella design. We can but hope for one next year. Oh, if only... Indeed they should. It'd be a very cool mold. Ah yes, especially Zee. Here you go: Oh, and as for that cinema poster...

Um... one's a human and one's a monkey? No, that's basically it. It's a minifig animal I guess.

No, but... look.

Batman: Gotham Knight Trailer and reviews

I think I may have to do the same... It came from someone my mum works with. She just wanted to get rid of it, and my mum brought it home for me. There looks to be some okay stuff in, and it's all the better for being free. I'll post a topic on it soon, I've just got to finish going through. -
Thanks WS and Batbrick. "I'm the Goddamn Batman." "He's the Goddamn Batman. "Hot-damn. It's the Goddamn Batman" etc. Why thank you. I'm particuarly pleased with the shoulder pads actually. I like the angular 'over the shoulder' look.

You're gonna struggle. The movie's the only part of the series that's been released. N real, definite reason has been given, but they reange from 'DC says no' to 'multiple studio/ownership problems'. That's why I taped them . And it was Burgess Meredith. Interestingly, he developed the squawk because the cigarettes were irritating his throat. I'm good at essays as well, my coursework was always top at GCSE. I've never been any good at poetry though, so I just on't bother . I tell them they can read it, and that they should comment on any bits they want to, and hey presto... instant editor! Hang on... how did 'want' become 'wast'? They're nowhere near each other on the keyboard. Anyway, it is indeed worth it, and they do think it's pretty cool. They wouldn't bother themselves, but they'll happily admire my distinct art form. I managed to bore someone the other week by reeling off the 'names' and 'abilities' of 16 different types of Kryptonite... from the top of my head!

Thanks. For this one, I actually did simply graft Uplink bits onto Cyclone Defender. It just seemed appropriate somehow.

BBC4 are reapeating all of it over here, on Tuesday and Wednesday nights (ie one two-parter every week), and I'm really enjoying it. We're just into Season 2, the one where the villains start to interact a little more. We've not had any multivillain storylines yet, but Catwoman made a guest appearance in the Ma Parker story, and the main rogues have mentioned each other a little. Oh are you a writer as well. I am too, a little. Perhaps paradoxically, I'm a mathmatician as well. That means I'm good with numbers and words. I'm writing my own comic actually (just script, not art), sort of half way between Heroes and X-Men in the approach and style. My friends are going to do edit for me, but from an outside non-fanboy perspective. Like it's a new thing... And it's nearly 15:45. So am I. I keep talking excitedly to my friends about all the stuff I wast this year. I think I easily have the most expensive hobby out of the three of us. One is into football (watching, not playing) and the other rifles and shooting. But mine's more expensive than both. That's quite alright, and I suppose I should thank you too. My friends will listen, but they can't really comment. You can, and you do. EDIT: Thanks for the pics whung. Hope you don't mind my linking of your BS gallery earlier. As for the hair discrepancies, I think the first one may be an older pic, while the other two are newer and are of the final finished set.

Introduction First off, welcome to All-Star EF. Now, I'm an EF fan, and I really like this years (sadly, last) sets. I also liked the first year of sets, and while they weren't perhaps amazing mechs, they're no worse than I can do, as a non-mech builder. But I felt that some of the designs could be improved nonetheless. I decided that rather than simply MOD them as I do with my most of other sets, I'd rebuild them putting my own stamp on them. And so All-Star EF was born. The project was so named because DC has recently had All-Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder and All-Star Superman, bold new interpretations of our favourite heroes (in Batman's case, very bold). And since that was essentially what I wanted to do with EF, then I decided to borrow the name. These are my versions of EF sets, that evoke the original official model, but also provide a more practical, more 'cool' version. I only hope you like them. All-Star Uplink I know that pic isn't very clear, but you get the idea. So I figured, well, Ryo is an inventor so surely he'd be able to invent something more practical and more beefy than Uplink. I was rather fond of the original in a way, so I kept some of the details the same. Notice the shoulder pads and the control panel in the cockpit. I added a windscreen/cockpit for protection, and hands so that Uplink can grasp things when Ryo is perfroming battlefield repairs. On the sides of the legs we have a wrench, a large spanner, a small hammer and a screwdriver, ready for use by Ryo. This one's just so you can get a look at my hand . This is not a flamethrower, it's a blowtorch. Yes, I know it's a funny looking blowtorch, but this is EF (sorry, that's quite a bad pic as well). Notice there's something missing from the back... Wait for it... Hang on... It's a minigun. Well, he's an engineer, not a soldier. It makes sense he'd only have a small protection-only gun. And there we have it. See more pics in the gallery here, and look out for All-Star Gate Defender coming soon.

Batman: Gotham Knight Trailer and reviews

Ah, well, I'm a fan of the (comics) League, so I'll probably get the DVDs if I can find them. No luck yet though, no where seems to have them. Perhaps when I'm less busy. I've got a big box of Lego (free!) to go and sort through, and there's a MOC I'm posting in just a moment. -
Excuse me while I put in my earplugs... No, I'm right. That wasn't suggestive, but this is:

Actually it was the 60s film that got me into Batman. I watched it when I was young, and enjoyed it. Of course, I took it seriously then, but it was my first Batman experience. Then my library got a graphic novel section, and I got a few out. That was it. I kept reading, and became more involved in the continuity of the DCU, and the Marvel Universe to a lesser extent. Excessive reading coupled with my scarily good memory made for a fierce combination I do. I did a few modules in January, as most people did, then the rest of this years start around the middle of May (I think the first one is May 15th). Still, they're all out of the way by the end of the first week in June. Oh, I keep all my Lego boxes. They're all collapsed and tied together down the side of my wardrobe. It's great how TLC have printed the diamonds on her legs. We don't often get leg priniting (although it has become increasingly common). It's a nice simple design, but one that truly captures Harley. And it's much the same for the other Bat-figs. We do seem to have got a strange number of new minifig molds this year. The new hairpieces, the jesters hat, the dwarf beards, the Castle helmets (orc, dwarf), etc. TLC can only afford a small number of new molds each year, so maybe that's why we've not seen an awful lot these past couple of years. They've been saving them for this year.

Oh, I see what you've done there.
-
Hands off, she's mine. Not at all.
-
Sounds good, I look forward to it. I think I'll probably just stick to the comics. Part of it is that I don't really have time at the miment, what with my exams coming up, and part of it is that I just can't be bothered. I do volunteer in a primary school though, once a week, so it's not like I don't do anything. And there's the pantomime society as well. If I prefer it to the old one, it's staying, if not it's going in the parts bin. Either way, I get a cool hairstyle for general MOCing. I like the boxes as well. The Batman in the corner is quite nice, but it's a pity he's not minifig-ised. Still, beggars can't be choosers. Oh, and Batbrick, just for you (well, and me):
-
Okay, so we've narrowed categorisation down to: Minifigs Abnormal minifigs Not minifigs Minifig animals Not-minifig animals Big brickbuilt droids Little brickbuilt droids Something with a "not overcomplicated build" The grey area So, nice and clear then
-
Quite alright. I'm interested in this, as much as you are. Yeah, it does seem to have got a fairly small, somewhat negative response. Maybe we could PM some of the UK members, see if they're interested? When we've got a better idea of when, I mean. Cool, but... damn. Although, I've just thought of another problem I might have: cost. I've just bought a new laptop, and. well, I've not got an awful lot of money at the moment, and I probably won't have an awful lot more come June. And then there's all the Lego I have to buy.

Ah right. I take it Vol 4 was when the DCAU was starting to move towards Justice League/JLU, and weren't there some Superman crossovers in there as well? Ah yes, of course, that's good. You mean like Mask of the Phantasm or Sub-zero? That'd be nice, certainly. As long as it was good that is. Which I'm sure it would be, being Bats.
