  1. Thanks guys. Um... no idea actually. I just used what TLC used. But grenade launcher sounds sensible, so it'll do. Sentry, then Fire Vulture. There'll be a thread sometime with a few small things in as well, but I'm not sure when that will be.
  2. Indeed. You find yourself looking back over the years expenditure, only to notice that the 'small, cheap purchases' make up the biggest amount. I'm still getting it though... it's Harley.
  3. Bat-MOC 3 I believe Bat-MOC 2 is up, but not 1 or 3. I can't be bothered looking for 1 as it's lost in the depths of time.
  4. "These aren't the adventurers you're looking for." Sorry, I just has to get a SW reference in there...
  5. Very nice TP. Harley's truck is so camp in its execution, but so very Lego Batman (and so very Harley). The gallery robbery is simple, but neat, and all the figs from ages ago are great. It's nice to see a OYL Robin, I think I prefer the new costume to the old one.
  6. I ended up MOCing on my window ledge earlier. No idea why, my desk is empty. No... that's not helped things has it?
  7. I shouldn't think it'll be coming back, at least not in the form we know it. I think the adverts just show what a cult thing Thunderbirds is. I mean, how many other adverts can you think of that feature 60s icons? When the new Captain Scarlet came out a few years ago, I remember reading somewhere that Gerry Anderson had said he'd quite like to do a new series of Thunderbirds in the same way. I loved the new CS, so to see TB done that way would be amazing. But that was a few years ago, and nothing seems to have come of it, so I'm not holding out too much hope. The adverts are great though, especially the Specsavers one. Oh, and the "Evil dude" is 'The Hood'.
  8. Yeah, but as AFOLs, we'd just automatically give it a 10.
  9. You get the distinct impression that they weren't perhaps enjoying the film all that much. Still, I loved it, and that's what matters right? Oh, and I don't think I mentioned Cruncher Block's truck before. Much, much cooler than TLC would have us believe.
  10. Cheers Andrex. I'm going to focus on the suits for a minute, I think. The Glide suit is simply beautiful, and the smoke bombs feature is a nice treat. The Sonic Suit and Gravity are... imaginative. The magnetci suit looks wonderfully retro, which is fantastic. I love retro! The water suit is rather cool actually, the tech suit isn't bad either, and the demolition suit is... well, . Interestingly, it reads as though Bats will have a water suit as well...
  11. If at all. We only got about half of the Classics figs, if I recall. Still, it gives me time to aquire some money. I also need to find money to pick up Spotlights Vol 2 and Devastation (when it comes out). I'm really enjoying the new IDW series, with all the interconnecting stories and stuff. Just fantastic. I might be tempted to but BW: The Gathering and BW: The Ascending as well, along with the BW Sourcebook (have most of the original release errors been fixed, I wonder?). And I was sorely tempted by a GI Joe/TF Omnibus collecting the four volumes. It was £32.99 though, so I decided to pass for the time being. Not a GI Joe fan by any means, but I was very tempted to become one.
  12. I like the way they're practically hidden on the site. Almost as if finding them is a mission in itself.
  13. Bought Speed Racer/Snake Oiler and Racer X/Taejo Togokhan yesterday, after having seen the film. Plus, they were on offer. Also bought a Clone Trooper BP and Jungle Duel the other week.
  14. The second in my All-Star EF series, here's Gate Defender. While Uplink was an '06 small mech grafted onto an '07 small mech, GD is completely different. I decided to come up with an entirely new design. I wanted it to be small and thin, to give the impression of a nimble, swift mech. It was supposed to be smaller than Uplink, but it accidentally ended up a little bigger. Okay, so it doesn't have any controls, but then neither do most sets. The wings at the back fold swing down when not in use. I kept the things on the original hands for this model. I also kept the shoulder pads from the original: Finally, here's a comparison with ASEF Uplink: See, ever so slightly bigger. Gallery ASEF gallery Hope you like. It's Sentry up next, btw.
  15. I'll be honest, I'm not really a 'custom piece' fan. I don't doubt the skill needed to make them, and they're often fantastic, but it's just not my thing. That said, on to the figs. Firefly is quite nice, and the gangster and lady of the night are pretty good too. The SWAT team is just great, and the Gotham cops are probably as accurate as you're gonna get them. Joker looks fantastic in his fedora, and I see now why we both wanted one from TLC.
  16. I don't know how much they are over there, but here they're £2.99 which hardly seems that expensive to me.
  17. See, at school, people sneak a use of their phone under the table. In the workplace, it's an entirely different story! You know, reading this thread makes me realise just how unimaginative I am...
  18. Ah good, I'll have to look out for them. Do we know where they're being sighted?
  19. Finally went to see Speed Racer yesterday. Despite the negative reviews, I loved it. It was suitably fun, and it was nice to be able to just switch off and not have to think too hard when watching something. Oh, and the cars were cool. I even picked up Speed Racer/Snake Oiler and Racer X/Taejo Tokokhan from Tesco on my way home. And they were on offer! The only thing that did annoy me was the fact that everyone else in the screen took a toilet break at least once, some of the kids a lot more times. They seemed to be going in shifts as well. Seriously, it was like some sort of tag-team. And I think I was the only adult there without a young child.
  20. I did notice actually, but since I'd already posted here (and seeing as how this is the gameplay thread) I felt it wasn't worth posting in the Batman 08 thread as well.
  21. Hmm... yes... I think I see what they've done there. Have you noticed how often I say that? That made me laugh too. No, no, I shall go and have a look.
  22. Yes! That's it! Something out of Stingray. I'll stop myself there before I go off on a geek discussion about the Andersonverse.
  23. Yes of course, the grave. Such a poignant moment . And the chiropteraphobia bit is such an integral part of Scarecrow now, but still nice to see. Indeed, the music. Especially the Joker theme. Ah yes, Mr Dent. I suppose it made sense to include him pre-scarring. Otherwise it'd just sort of happen, and no-one would be really that bothered. You give him a backstory first, it has more impact. Perhaps, but they made the effort to do something different at least.
  24. Glowing octopus?! Someone's been dumping nuclear waste in Lego City Harbour, I think. The submarine, well, I'm not as keen on it as I am the other 6 sets, but I still like it. It's got a sort of retro feel to the design. But no, I like it. That's not necessarily a good thing though, as this year will cost even more money.
  25. My Batbrick, you have been busy. Catwoman- Very nice. A nice collection of neat pieces, and so very Catwoman in the nature of the haul. Killer Croc- Oh, I love those crocodiles. The box of chicken legs made made me laugh! Two-Face- Well, okay, so there's not as much here as in the others, but it's still pretty nice. To be honest though, there's not much you can do with Two-Face is there? Joker- Comedy props. And how do you know it's Bud? Maybe it's Lou. Penguin- Simple, but perfect. Mr Freeze- I like it. The diamond control panel is so 60s. Scarecrow- Ooh, TLH inspired . And discount the scythe? You cheat...
