  1. Went to see Indy 4 this afternoon. Loved it, every minute. The giant ants bit was a little creepy though. And did anyone notice how many cars, trucks and jeeps lifted off the ground/flew through the air? It's as if the special effects crew were impressed with themselves! And the Ark guest appearance was a nice surprise. For some reason, the kid next to me decided to take his shoes off for the duration iof the film.
  2. Oh, I so have to use that somewhere! It seems so. But then I am a DCU geek more than a Batgeek (but I'm hardly bad on that front). I'll be off to comment on them shortly. Watched a heap of BTAS episodes over the past few days. Watched Nothing to Fear and The Last Laugh one day, then Pretty Poison, The Underdwellers and P.O.V. the day after. Nothing to Fear was good, especially because of the Scarecrow. That glider/blimp ensemble- I want one! Pure Scarecrow, fantastic. The Last Laugh was really, really good. Seriously, I enjoyed every minute. I actually laughed aloud at some of Joker's lines. So, yeah, the plot wasn't anything special, but Joker... brilliant. Pretty Poison... well, it's Ivy. What more can I say? The Underdwellers... less good. P.O.V. was different, and I quite like that. The 'Batman tackles petty crooks' idea was a nice change of pace as well.
  3. Break the Bat... Ahem... sorry. Another nice medieval Bat-Moc here Batbrick. The reinvention is both fun and apt for the character (ie Bane), and the addition of a new Bat-suit/Bat-armour is a nice touch. We know Bats likes to wear different clothes sometimes. The cell itself is also pretty cool, and I like the tiling effect on the outside. The hollow bits inside as a result of this also add something to it. I don't know what mind, but something.
  4. Oh, now that's not tr-- wait, no, it is... Um... yeah. Seems to be our superpower I'll be honest... it's not changed at all since you last saw it. But I've got next week off for half term, so I'm hoping to work on it then. I'll probably hold it back until I've MODed the new sets (I have to buy them first though!), just so I've got a number of things to show. Athough I do have four things already. Watched Christmas With the Joker last night. I assume the episode was a Christmas one, and taken in that context it wasn't bad. Joker's great as ever, and some of the Batman/Robin lines are strangely reminiscent of lines from the 60s series... I hadn't realised Robin was in though. I thought he didn't show up till later. No, I'm sorely lacking in Batman trades. Well, I'm lacking in trades altogether. And I'll be honest, I've never read Knightfall. I would, obviously, but I've never been able to find it in the library. Ah good, I look forward to it. The last ones were great. Oh... I'd forgotten about that. I saw it, then forgot to post a comment. I shall head over now.
  5. Highlights include: Mr Freeze Creep... The new Dynamic Duo? Two-Face Kill Batman, and make it snappy (I'm sorry, I really am) Fancy a Bat-swim? Riddle me this: What goes up and must come down? (Answer: that gun) ... I'm sorry, this is far funnier than anything I can come up with! But lets be honest... this isn't much better These pictures seem to indicate that there are a lot more villain team-ups than I was expecting. Which is good. It's also good to see that the GCPD will feature quite heavily. Indeed. So very Joker. And Gordon captured by Mr J? The Killing Joke anyone?
  6. Yeah, I cam across that one as well, but it wasn't Harley so I didn't post it!
  7. Ah, the oft-mentioned Batdragster. I think V3 is definitely the best version, but the other two both have their merits (most of which were carried over to the subsequent one). It's sleek, stylish and looks a little mean. I don't think the bat-wings at the back are bad. I mean, what's the alternative? You could build one, but that would be too big, as would the wings TLC used. No there Bat-wasn't. Have you ever seen Wacky Races? Because Peter Perfect's Turbo Terrific has a similar long nose... You know, I'm not sure why, but I think I'm picking up on some subtle advertising... But what's this with everyone knocking the old dragster? I thought it was great.
  8. You know, a lot of the cast share names (and in some cases appearances) with people I know. I'm useless at thinking up names, so I thought "why not just take actual names and sort of mash them together?" So neither Bruce nor Sheila? How about Mel Bourne? Sure. The more the better. *Nods frantically and apologetically*
  9. Indeed. That said though, I've got characters who two issues in haven't actually said a word! Um... not yet. But there is a Department M embassy in Australasia somewhere, so it's highly likely I'll write in at least one. Yes, I'd noticed. Oh, so you did mean the script. Well in that case, sure. I write a script form draft by hand first, then get it edited and assessed, then type up the second draft and convert it to panels. So I'd be happy to post each broken-down issue. Well... yes, I am. I'm known for my dry sense of humour. It's a mix of intentionally bad jokes and puns, and dry put-downs. Trouble is, it treads a fine line between funny and cruel. Yeah... that's what my friend said! Glad to be of service. Sadly no, I've just not had time. Although how I've not been able to make time to watch something 20 minutes long I don't know.
  10. That's debatable at best (at breast?). For one thing, asymmetry annoys me. I have no doubt it'll find its way into my next S@H order, then onto my keys, then in the faces of people at college as I show off about it!
  11. Hang on... I got it wrong as well. Bat-Knight is my version. Yours is the Dark Knight. Sigh, I'm not doing very well today...
  12. But... it's fantastic.
  13. Thanks for the review. I really like this. I mean, yeah, so I like all the Agents sets, but still the point stands. The plane is great, and would probably stand well on it's own. That then makes the jeep a welcome addition. Fuse is really cool, especially the scared head which looks brilliant. Gold Tooth (nice and subtle) is pretty cool as well, in a campy sort of way. In fact, that's something I like in the whole line. It's a bit camp (in a spy-fest sort of way). I'm not sure whose idea it was to put the gold haul on a rickety trailer, where it's likely to fall off. Because I hope Dr Inferno has harsh words with them!
  14. Oh, that is so cool. I love all those fold-out scene things. You know, it's a face or a vehicle or something, then it folds out into a playset or scene. I know this isn't exactly that, but it's still very cool. I almost missed the docking bay, as I just went straight to the last picture.
  15. Just stumbled across this in another thread. I think it was Legomilk that pointed it out. Just figured it should go here as well. All I can say is "Yes! I want one." But she still has just the one breast EDIT: Hammer truck (Hammer Hummer ) now up on UK S@H. No Penguin sub yet though.
  16. Planning to start a Medieval DC Comics project, similar in vein to Batbrick's Bat-Knight vigs. We arrived at the idea independantly, so they are actually unconnected.* Still working on Arkham Asylum as well, and trying to think of more BAT-MOCs to go in part 4. *But he won't believe that.
  17. I did consider making up a 'travel kit' the other week. I had an exam, and there was a chance that I was going to be placed in isolation for a few hours. It didn't happen in the end, so sadly no travel kit. I guess other people might have found it a bit weird.
  18. I think they're suppose to be coming out pretty soon. There's Universe/Classics 2 coming as well, and I think that's more towards the end of the year. TFA is earlier than that.
  19. They did. But it's generally regarded as somewhere in the region of 'not brilliant', so Marvel decided to make a new one, in house. Along with Thor, Ant-Man and Avengers.
  20. Here are a few from me. Pay special attention to Dalek Sec. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=237227
  21. Saw this the other day with Iron Man. Oh, it looks so cool. The animation style is neat, and some of the character designs look awesome. Case in point Dooku and Palpatine (what little we see of him anyway). And Yoda is so small. Aww... I don't know if I can wait till August!
  22. I'll be honest, it's not what I was expecting.
  23. Not yellow per se, but the difference between her white face and white teeth sometimes makes her face look a little yellow(er) in relation to the face: It's not really yellow though.
  24. Thank you. And that's actually what I was going for. Heroes is great, but there's just not enough action, so I've tried to remedy that. The other problem I had with Heroes is that it just wasn't global enough. There were characters from places other than America, but I just didn't feel there were enough. It is an American show though, so I suppose that's to be expected. Anyway, I've tried to get in as many different nationalities/cultures as possible. The goodies are based in the US, yes, but the search will take place around the world. My three main characters are actually British. I'm trying to get as wide a demographic as possible with the characters. There are characters from different countries, like I said, but there also are characters of different ages, different sexualities, etc. There are lots of different relationships in there as well- married couples, non-married couples, brother/sister (including twins), mentor and/or peers, friends, parent/child, etc. The variety of people is (be sheer coincidence; seriously, I didn't notice this) mirrored by the fact that I'm trying not to write any characters with the same power. Unless it's a secondary power, stemming from the primary power that is. Ooh... dark :skull: I'm not really an artist by nature, more of a writer, so the art (unfortunately, as I'd love to see it) takes the back burner for now. But the finished script and some sketches may find their way here... Welll... you'd be surprised. I have tried to write her with some puns and some sarcasm, partly because it's good characterisation, but partly because I need something to lighten the mood. If you strip the story down to basics, then it's a guy killing people because they're differnt. Throw in some power theft (well, sort of) and a few abductions/assassinations courtesy of Department M, and it's pretty dark. Cue Sam, and a few lighter interlude stories. And I have to admit, from my character sketches, I do rather fancy her . Now that's egotistical . EDIT: Wait a minute... did you just call me hot? Ooh, you flirt. I think so yes. I'll have to see about recycling the hair. I might prefer to have them both on display Yeah... I noticed that after posting. A little. But it doesn't really matter, I just put it down to it being the first episode. What? Watch them out of order? I couldn't cope with that. No really, I couldn't.
  25. Went to see Iron Man with my dad on Friday. A very good film, and lots of nice in-jokes. My dad hurried us off, so I missed the post-credits scene. Hopefully, I'll go and see Speed Racer in the next couple of weeks. It looks really good.
