Yeah... somehow, I'm not so sure.

Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...

So by the same definition, a lot of the classic stories are "boring" because there's not much action in those either? Take Genesis of the Daleks, for example. One of the best, if not the best, Doctor Who story ever, and how much action is there there, really? Not an awful lot... And doesn't David Troughton look like his dad? -
The Rat Race made me smile. In a strange way, it's kind of cute. I can see clearly the Batwing inspiration in the bat one, and I particularly like the T-Bone. Nice work all round. I assume you're entering all of these?

I managed to salvage this from a big box of Lego I got for free recently, and I have to say I love it. I even made space (no pun intended) on my shelf for it to go, just because I was so impressed.

Cool. Proper Lego TFs can be hard to make anyway, never mind with a limited set of parts. Both modes are solid and look good, and the overall feel is that of a strong TF. One question: Autobot or Decepticon?
-
Well... yeah. You know me so well.
-
Indeed. I think I may have to make a two-seat Batmobile sometime.

New lego batman screens and video of clayface, bane, and nightwing

Dr Mid-nite. Dr Charles McNider was the Golden Age Mid-nite, while Dr Pieter Cross is the modern one. There was also a female Doctor Midnight (Beth Chapel), but due to the different spelling isn't technically an incarnation of the character. I believe I remember hearing somewhere that you can see them peering out of the window of a Gotham building. Julie Madison was also the Golden Age paramour of a certain Mr Bruce Wayne. -
Currently woking on MODing the Mach 5 and Shooting Star (Racer X) from Speed Racer to be more accurate. The Mach 5 is done, and the Shooting Star is slowly getting there. The Mach 5 looks pretty good, if I do say so myself.

I liked it. Human nature at its worst. And is this the closest the Doctor has ever come to real death? Apparantly, this is the first story without the TARDIS since Genesis of the Daleks (1975!), and only the third without a companion in the main narrative, the first two being The Deadly Assassin and Time Crash (debatable, as the Fifth and Tenth Doctors could be countd as companions of each other respectively). It was also the 200th story, and the 50th new story filmed (hence 'Crusader 50'). So, we saw Rose again, shouting 'Doctor' on the shuttle monitors. The Medusa Cascade was mentioned again as well, and I wonder if the Lost Moon of Poosh was lost like other references thereof. As in, "the fifteenth broken moon of the Medusa Cascade". The trailer for next week's story looks good too. There's "somthing on [Donna's] back", Rose returns because "all the Universes are in danger", Donna wears a Captain Jack-esque coat, the Doctor is found dead by UNIT... something's going on. A future that shouldn't exist perhaps? -
It is very good. I think it's a story that reads better in one go, all twelve issues. Reading it separately, I had to go back and read the previous parts again before reading the last one, just to make sure there wasn't anything I'd missed. There are quite a few twists, as new developments come to light. Then there are the 'why do we need superheroes' undertones, and the look at whether they really do enough. Plus, issue 2 is almost entirely Bat-centric. Watch out for that Batmobile. Ah, I have read Joker's Five Way Revenge, and I did enjoy it. I might have to look out for Greatest Stories, especially if it's the Joker. I bet one of my libraries will have it. Indeed. I find the art easier to access now as well. Sure, the art was good in the classics, but now... I don't know, I just prefer it. And I guess the 'blood and gore' is more a reflection of todays atmosphere and social climate than anything else. Readers demand some 'gritty realism' and seriousness, so that's what we get. Plus, it highlights that Batman is the dark side of the DCU, as the other books (Superman, Wonder Woman, Justice League, etc.) dont't feature anywhere near the level of blood and gore as frequently as Batman. I find it a nice balance. He looks good, that's for sure. I'm sure we'll see some morphing in the cinematics, if not in the gameplay itself. I mean, it is Clayface afterall. Why bother if you're not going to do him properly? aheh-heh

And I thought we finished early. I've another week to go yet. But then I get 10 (I think) weeks off, so it's not too bad. I'll volunteer in a primary school for a couple of days a week until they finish (mid-July), then enjoy the holidays. Unfortunately, all my friends seem to be out of the country at the same time...

Deadly and sexy (apart from the needle that is). Very nice. You know... I'm sensing some satire here.

Wow, very nice. Very accurate, with some neat building techniques. And I have to say, I like the Tank Comander. You know, I really should try building a tank...

Cheers guys. Oh, fuel his ego, why don't you... Doesn't everyone... The worrying thing is, I've sat down an infinite number of times with my Lego, and never thought of this. He sits down, and within five minutes, this appears. I didn't notice at first either, he didn't point it out. He just kept going, then suddenly, I saw the fig and went "Do these go on here? I never noticed that." "Whenever your friend succeeds, a part of you dies inside."

Very nice, Penguin. It's always good to see more of Gotham's populace, and the two seat Batmobile was just waiting to be done frankly. To be honest, with my Batmobile obsession, I'm surprised it wasn't done by me! Anyway, it's good that the Batmobile hasn't changed at all in basic design, but you've still managed to get an extra seat in. Never has anyone looked as uncomfortable as Batbrick does here. *raises eyebrow* Never mind that, I think that Brainbox should be added, with his permission, in some of your future MOCs. How's that for unbalanced.

He's referring to these, I think. Watch the top three, and you can see Zatara in the museum (running away when the Penguin appears), Johnny Thunder (in the green suit, running towards the camera when Two-Face arrives) and in the Batmobile one, Catwoman can be seen when the Batmobile crashes into the wall, Ventriloquist and Scarface run past Two-Face's truck, and Dr Mid-nite, despite being blind, drives past Two-Face in a car. -
'Good Soldier' epitah, and the hair is likely to be used elsewhere as well. It's amazing how quickly you can go off someone isn't it?

I believe Braithwaite pencilled, then Ross went over with paints. The best of two fantastically real styles combined. Justice is out of continuity, but it could be viewed as a modern extrapolation of the Silver Age. Lex Luthor and Brainiac assemble the Legion of Doom to save the world, doing more good than even the Justice League. Have the villains really turned over a new leaf, or is ther a deeper plan at work? The plot twists and turns, and there are nice rosters for both the League and the Legion. The Legion counts Bat-foes Ivy, Scarecrow and Riddler among its number (Joker appears a bit as well, but they won't let him in). The Teen Titans, Doom Patrol, Metal Men, Bat-family, Marvel family and Superman-family also appear. Um... no. But I think I have read some stories from that era. I'll have to go back through my old CEs, see what I have. No, I'm liking the current run. I do generally prefer anything post-late-90s though. He's certainly lightened up following his year-long sojourn abroad. At least until he met the Three Ghosts of Batman that is... On a sidenote, would you mind checking out the link in my sig and comenting on my friend's MOCs? I'd appreciate it, and so would he. Thanks.

They died, didn't they? The Doctor probably set the Sonic Screwdriver (of the future) to capture all of their Data Ghosts, not just River Song's. Davros looks good, very accurate to the classic look. On a related note, the title of 4.12 has been announced- 'The Stolen Earth'. From BBC: -
Everyone's liking the night vision aren't they? Oh no, the suited person is him. This hairpiece is fine, it's just that the Mutt hairpiece will look more accurate. Ah, different uniforms, you see. I'd never allow that.
-
Deliciously retro, you might even say. Very cool, Dreamweb. The hull piece is innovative and clever, and the overall look is a good one. A bit strange though... in fact, you might even say it's a biut fishy. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.
-
Neat. And of course, there's no danger of the rods falling out because of the wheels. Now I need an excuse to use this technique...
-
Wow Batbrick, this is awesome! Seriously, it's so cool. It looks fun, but at the same time somewhat accurate (history buffs, note the 'somewhat' ). The inside and outside might be markedly different, but they clearly fit together. The plants on the exterior are just right, and are neither too heavy nor too sparse. The stylised rock here too is very nice, and looks monster-y enough to match the rest of the MOC. The inside is fantastic. It looks rich and luxurient, packed full of treasures. The net trap is very cool as well, as are the other traps in fact. On ehting that bothers me though... why no secret compartments? You know I love hidden areas and secret doors... Sorry for the lateness, btw.

Another cool addition to the medieval SW Universe, Majek. It's always nice to see familiarity transposed into another setting, and this is no exception. Darth Father looks suitably menacing, and the Legion member looks strangely... happy considering he's about to help kill everyone. Nice work.
