  1. A sticker that isn't an official one. I refuse to use them myself, but that's just me.
  2. Neat. I like the overall look, and while clearly based on the official one, it looks a lot better. The tree looks real, with the foliage and such like. It's not too much, and neither is it too little. The spider web is a cool addition, and the rocks at the bottom (and the tree trunk for that matter) look very good, with some nice slope usage there. Another nice MOC BB2. Oh, we all know the secret room was for me. You do know how much I like secret rooms.
  3. Yes. A 'clever' play on the 60s series of course. It is. Look at what she's holding (no...)- a baton styled like a jesters hat. Yes of course. I have that story as well. Pretty good, not least because Future Superman threatens to crush Batman with a Batmobile very similar to the 60s one... Found some time the other day. The bit at the end where Bats throws in the all the other coins... I think that might have been in a comic as well. Still very good though. I guess this is where the series really starts to find its feet, then really gets going with Heart of Ice. Way ahead of you once more, I already have. As I thought, the head really works. Crap... I knew 'd forgotten something. No. Go away. No seriously, join in if you want but be warned... you'll have to work pretty hard to keep up with the mix of on-, off- and way off-topic chat. No, it's great. Just for the wrong reasons.
  4. My God, Davros is fantastic! Exactly the same as the Davros we all love from Genesis. Such a fantastic performance, and the make-up looked superb. The bit where Davros revelaed the true nature of the new Daleks made me put my hand over my mouth. Seriously. The 'message to the earth' bit sent a shiver down my spine, and I guess I was right about the missing planets wasn't I? It's great how stuff from the past four years is being tied up. On thing though. Why does Davros continue to work with the Daleks, when at the end of each of his stories they've tried to kill him?! Can't wait for next week. "Welcome... to my new empire Doctor." "The children of time are moving against us, but everything is falling into place." "Each one grown from a single cell of my own body. New Daleks. True Daleks."
  5. Nah, if they had the Gobots in TF2, they wouldn't have even made it past the titles, having been ripped apart in about 2 minutes.
  6. Yet again, we've hit on the same idea independantly. Never mind though, as I'm planning on actually drawing mine, Lego-style. A real test, I have to say. I'm writingit as a six-part comic, with all sets featuring roughly as they're sold. And there's a 'death ray laser'. Finally. Strangely, I didn't notice when I was on S@H earlier. The prices of the six missions are the same as those announced a while ago, but the sub and the volcano especially are excellantly priced. £50 for the volcano? Bargain!
  7. Being the Whovian I am I should really have recognised these, and I'm embarrassed and ashamed that I didn't. Still, it's a very cool MOC, and like others have said, very creepy. Who knows. The Doctor Who wiki doesn't seem to have any record of them.
  8. Cheers BB2. It is, yeah. But like I said, it looks flimsy and cheap. In context, that is. You should, it's very cool.
  9. Who would've thought that an accidental backlog of photography from me all those months ago would lead to four treats from you and 3 goody bags from me? The Arkham spotlight isn't anything special, but it's still nice. The little changes nhave made it look better, in a way that's subtle. Two-Face's van is very nice. I think I need to try and find some white wheel arches so I can do the same thing on mine, as it looks really quite good. The sub MOD is also a vast improvement, with more space and less missiles. Harley's truck, while not yours per se is still very cool. And you've changed it for another Bat-character? Ooh, the suspense is killing me... This is something new, MODs of MOCs. I liked the original sub anyway, so this sleeker version is all the better. And it's such a small, simple change as well. Robin's speedboat as well, very nice. Interestingly, Robin seems to have the same 'fluctuating hairstyle' problem as me. The overglorified sledge snowski is fantastic. While the old one was constrained by being impulse sized, there's no such problem here, allowing you to go to town on a better design, which looks more solid and generally cool. The whirlybat is fantastic. Really. And this time, I appear to have had the obligatory prison haircut. Um... where's part 4? Oh, this Whirlybat. Right. See, when I said I wanted to build a Whirlybat, this wasn't the one I meant. I meant this one, but in blue. I couldn't be bothered to find a picture of the blue one. We both know you're wrong on both counts there. But maybe I could call myself the Punster. Or find a female sidekick and call ourselves Pun and Judy. Actually, Batbrick's right. Arkham inmates wear orange jumpsuits. I'm not the one who runs round dressed like a clown... And it's from the 70s, so...
  10. Thanks everyone. Glad you liked it. Um... I don't know. After a quick count, the MOD has 171 pieces. Bear in mind it was a quick count, and I'm likely to have miscounted somewhere. So, that's 171 pieces, plus 4 for Speed himself, and 22 on the gadgets (197 maths boffins). A quick scan through the instructions reveals a piece count of 112 (plus 4 on Speed, making 116). Therefore, not counting Speed and the gadgets, the extra pieces total 171-112=59 Oh you don't know how long I spent trawling the internet for good reference pics. Have you not seen the film then? Even if the seats do have no actual bottom. And like I said, the '5' is a little small, but that's TLCs sticker for you. For some reason, the didn't want a STAMP here, but were quite happy to give us one on Racer X's Shooting Star. So am I! What? I love the cars, they're fantastic. So sleek and cool, and effortlessly stylish.
  11. Sorry, I've been busy. First of all, before you start any MODing, find as many (and I mean as many) reference pictures as you can. There are a few here, but try and find some others as well. Get lots of pictures from different angles as well, to make sure you see the Mach 6 from every angle. Try and decide which bits actually need changing. Looking at the pictures, I'd say aspects of the front need doing, and the spoiler needs smoothing out. The sides maybe need a bit of work as well. And Speed could probably do with being sat a little lower in the car, like I did with the Mach 5. Don't put the stickers on when you get the model. That way, you're not restricted by them when MODing. For the spoiler, maybe try using these and these. Or you could possibly try this, maybe in conjunction with the two aforementioned. As for the headlights at the back, I'm not sure. The Mach 5 only had one light at each side, so that wasn't a problem for me. I'd imagine it would look okay with just the one light on each side. AgentRick said a decal. You could use that. I mean, custom decals aren't to my taste, but I suppose it's no different to using the official stickers. I can't think of any pieces that would suit this, but if I do, I'll be sure to post them. Hope that helped.
  12. Word of note to any UK Bat-fans, the Penguin Sub/Scuba Jet is finally on S@H. Unfortunately, it's on back-order, and won't ship until 11th August. http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?...;cn=39&d=70
  13. I think he said at some point that he made Gallifrey burn, and that the Daleks burned with it. So maybe the Daleks attacked Gallifrey directly, and he was forced to destroy the planet to prevent the Daleks from taking control of the Eye of Harmony, the Matrix and the Rod of Rassilon.
  14. I've got money now, so I think I will as well. I want the next books in the series. Yeah, white and green would be nice, but the blue looks rather good. It seems that all the Alts have one aspect to the transformation sequence that is nigh-on impossible to do first time around. With Smokescreen, it was getting the legs to fold back to car mode, with Smokescreen it was getting the head to work. With Wheeljack, it's the arms. The bonnet wouldn't shut at one point, but I realised what was wrong, so that doesn't count. But the arms, my God. Because of the way they have to be folded, rotated, clipped, extended and so on, it takes a while to remember what goes where. Interestingly, the instructions were reused from Grimlock. The model featured in the instructions is clearly Grimlock, but the name has been changed to 'Wheeljack' twice on the instructions. Talk about cheap!
  15. Fire Arm? To be honest, I should have guessed that.
  16. Thanks, but it's already been posted in the Agents thread. Still a nice figure though.
  17. It is pretty unusual to have a colourblind artist after all. Hasn't he got a Batman vs Al-Quaeda graphic novel planned? I fear that may be a step too far... I didn't think it was that bad. But I was never much of a fan of the original Superman films. Come to that, I was never much of a fan of the original Batman films. I don't know, I just didn't take to them as much as I thought I would. Possibly. The hole in the dress around the chest area ( ) is where the similar hole in Power Girls costume is. Plus Power Girl is depicted as having a bob haircut, the same as the one here. I think you might be right about Vixen and Supergirl though. I can't really think of anyone else it could be. Here's an interesting thing about Power Girl. The original artist (can't remember his name) decided he'd mess around a bit and draw Power Girl's cleavage ever-so-slightly bigger each issue, to see how long he could manage it without getting found out. I'm not sure how long he did, but I think it was quite a while. I was in it, how could I not? No, go ahead. As long as Matches doesn't feature, as you promised I could have him. My next goody-bag shouldn't be too far off either. A few more items, and I'll have enough to put in it. In the meantime, check out my sig.
  18. Oh, the baddie names are the best bit. So blunt and camp, but somehow very cool. By "anonymous second clawed guy" I assume you mean the guy with the laser arm in the Volcano HQ. But that pun has to be the worst one yet! And you'll be pleased to know Batbrick that I'm in the throws of starting work on an Agents comic, written and drawn (Lego style) by myself. I'm trying to write it with a good bit of camp and cheese, as I feel that it befits the nature of the line.
  19. Premium edition, eh? Sounds good, but I sense I'll just be getting the regular version. 26th June isn't long to wait either, so I think my next S@H order may include this.
  20. You... removed the hammer? But I thought you liked it. Were they? Not if I build myself one first. I'd love to see that.
  21. Shall I take that as a yes? Exactly. I'll try and pack some into my Batcave when I get round to working on it. I wouldn't mind an Alf-cycle... Yes! With lots of nice areas for Bat-investigations, Bat-repairs and Bat-training. Who?
  22. Cheers Adam. I was going for the look from the movie, but I guess the Mach 5 from there does look pretty similar to the TV Series Mach 5. Glad you liked it.
  23. Perhaps. But I couldn't find a way of attaching them that I preferred, so I left them as is. Personally, I think they make the mech look more armoured than it actually is.
  24. I went to see Speed Racer the other week, then succumbed on the way home and bought Speed Racer/Snake Oiler and Racer X/Taejo Togokhan. They were on offer as well, so even better. Anyway, I built the sets when I got home and decided (as I always seem to) that they needed MODing. Snake Oiler and Taejo's cars will probably be scavenged at some point, but the Mach 5 and the Shooting Star were to be MODed to be more movie-accurate. The Shooting Star is in development at the moment, but I finished the Mach 5 the other day, and I have to say, I rather like it. While not absolutely perfect (case in point: the car doors), I think it looks pretty cool, much better than the official, which was by no means bad. This picture is somewhat reminiscent of one on posters for the film: While this one's just plain cool: I kept the basic structure of the official version, but raised everything to look better when Speed is behind the wheel. I also smoothed out the front, the back and the sides (so essentially all of the car). The front is also more accurate to the film car. Can you see that I missed a little on the two outer stickers? The inside was also MODed a bit. I raised the steering wheel, changed the seats and added a gearstick. The seat bottoms should really be red, but then Speed would be too high up. The headrest might be a little too long, but it looks better this length than one stud shorter in my opinion. Even the underside got a bit of MODing. I had to pause a trailer on Youtube to get a good look at the underside. The '5' on the doors is a little small, but that's TLC not me. The doors should also curve inwards at the bottom to make a sort of runner along the side of the car, but I couldn't think of a good way to do this so ignored it. Of course, the Mach 5 also has some gadgets. I couldn't manage to do the bulletproof canopy, the homing bird, the hubcap shields, the tyre crampons or the self-inflating tyres, but I did include the jumpjacks and the sawblades. Okay, not brilliant, but at least they're there. The sawblades fare better, and I quite like these. Notice the probably-illegal building technique designed to the blade arm from swinging about wildly. See the open stud tucked away there? Guess what goes there... Yep. Note also how the windscreen is at the right height for Speed in the driving seat: Anyway, hope you liked. Now I have to work on getting the Shooting Star MODed. Gallery (when public).
  25. The latest in my All-Star EF project, the Sentry. For those of you not familiar with the project, ASEF, here's what I posted in the first entry: Sentry Okay, so having already All-Star-ified Uplink and Gate Defender, I decided to tackle Sentry next. I wanted something that looked a little bit flimsy and expendible. The Sentry makes up the bulk of the robot army, so they'd want something that's easy to produce in large numbers, and doesn't use too many resources. With that, I decided to use the basic skeleton I used on my Gate Defender. Whereas there the thin design looked right as the mech is one built for fast, manouverable flgiht, here it looks a bit flimsy. Once again my photography area leaves something to be desired, and there's a lack of good lighting. It all looks a bit cobbled together. In a uniformed way, but cobbled together nonetheless. As with the others, numerous aspects of the original were retained on the AS model. The feet, leg armour, shoulder pads, control levers, missiles and gun are all carried over to here. This really highlights the similarities between the original version and my new version: I think this is probably my least favourite of the AS models I've made so far, but that's just me. Hope you liked it though. Gallery (when public) ASEF (including some comparisons) Up next: Fire Vulture.
