  1. Yeah, in the other picture that's much more obvious. Darn. So BB's stuck turning into a snake or a frog or a crocodile, since those are basically the only solid green animals Lego's made thus far. Here's hoping they put him in another set sometime soon with a dinosaur or a gorilla.
  2. Are you sure that's not Teen Titans Robin? It still looks like he's got the three straps, just closer together at the top like TT Robin. The belt's the same too, from what I can see. The mask is definitely black, too, plus he's in a set with two other Titans with designs from the show. He'd be easy to customize to be the New 52 Jason, though. I didn't manage to get Arkham so I've got the Face Off Penguin. He's not bad, but I'd prefer the more traditional design.
  3. I'm especially digging the New 52 Dick Grayson Robin in the Batboat set. Deathstroke's not as bad as I thought he'd be, either. I'll probably sacrifice my previous aquatic Bat-stuff for shelf room for this one.
  4. DEFINITELY getting Jokerland. Beast Boy and Starfire look awesome, the new Robin is killer, I'd like the classic Penguin design here instead of just the one from the Batski, I love the new Batmobile, the build isn't bad, Harley's a little disappointing but I can work with it, and I think they gave Beast Boy an animal to turn into! (Behind him, it's a bird, right?)
  5. Figures. I only need two more DC sets now to finish off this wave, and now all the Marvel stuff is gonna come in and deliver my wallet the finishing blow! I think this round I'm gonna focus on getting only the heroes I don't have in any form yet. I missed Black Widow in the first Avengers wave, so I need her, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and Vision. Suppose that means I'll definitely be getting the Hulkbuster, Hydra Fortress, and Quinjet. The drones and busted Ultron in the Avengers Tower set are really cool, though. Hmm...
  6. He was using them to power some generic weapon, right?
  7. It's um... it's garbage. Complete garbage. A few funny lines, a decent relationship between Superman and Bizarro, but otherwise just awful. Wonder Woman has two kinds of lines in this: the "Screw you, Guy" ones and the "Those shoes with that top?! Ugh!" ones. Cyborg is annoying. Batman's more Lex Luthor-y than Lex Luthor. Darkseid is driving around in a giant spaceship with his face on it collecting rocks for reasons?? Somehow Bizarro World starts off as some random planet Superman dropped Bizarro off on and then later has backwards physics and logic without any explanation. None of the character designs look right, except for the ones that were already in production when Beleaguered came out. It's bad. Very bad.
  8. Wrong Claw. This guy. This is a little off-topic, but I just noticed something and I have no one else to share this with. This is Claw. This is Nightwing from Teen Titans. Even their belts are the same, just upside down.
  9. I'm waiting it out, too. I missed out on Clark Kent last time, and I won't let that happen again. $15 is just too much to pay for a seriously unimpressive movie and a minifig.
  10. And also, one more character that was the result of a sudden surge of inspiration: Hardware! I made two versions, each based off of a specific image (one being horrendously 90's). Here's v1 and v2!
  11. After the big Spidey news this week, I just had to celebrate with a new Spider-Man villain. Turns out those guys are hard when most of your parts are hung up in about hundred different DC characters. Se la vie. I found one guy in the Webslinger's enemy page on Comicvine that I thought I could do though: Claw!
  12. Strangely enough, I'm really looking forward to that Hydra Henchman. His head looks prime for a custom minifig. Speaking of prime, I'm not digging Ultron Prime. I think Ultimate Ultron is going to be my default Ultron. The neck thingy just doesn't work well without the helmet thingy.
  13. I'm really hoping we get a version of that suit soon, now that sleeves are a thing. I personally prefer the One Year Later suit, but official Robin costumes are always pretty fantastic. Speaking of which, I wish they would've varied up the Batsuits and Robin costumes over all those different Batman waves, especially the Batsuits. Batman's got so many different costumes that are all easily recognizable and it would've been nice to see more of those instead of just the same old Keaton and Pre-52 suits. I'm sure I'm not the first person to bring that up here, though.
  14. Nah, Dick wore this and this Jason wore this and this And Tim wore this and this
  15. Why include the handband if it's the same color as the head? Why not just leave a blank spot?
  16. I really prefer the Gorilla Grodd in the movie. A lot of the characters felt really inaccurate to any actual pieces. Guy's hair wasn't right, Cyborg was very off and wasn't that great. I'd love to see that Giganta and Desaad mostly. I'm still hoping that that Bizarro shows up in a set soon. Is Batzarro's cape the new cape cloth or the old? As for the movie, it wasn't great. Wonder Woman was so stereotypical and might as well have just worn a shirt that said "I'M A GIRL". Batman was a better Lex Luthor than Lex Luthor. Cyborg's annoying. The Superman/Bizarro relationship was nice though.
  17. It's just been a nightmare on the Marvel thread today, since everybody wanted to talk about the Spider-Man news and what it would mean for sets moving forward. A lot of people complained about it being unrelated. A lot of people complained about the complainers. In the end, it's whatev. Anyway, I'd prefer Deathstroke had a helmet, mostly so there could be a head underneath like this one. Plus, as of lately, he's had a helmet in the comics and most other related media. And it's a wicked cool helmet. I'm thinking something along the lines of a Clone Trooper helmet in size.
  18. I'd like some more details on Ant-Man rather than a picture, but I've got to see the final versions of those Spider-Man sets! They really ought to make a new quiver mold for guys like him. Green Arrow, Hawkeye...um...other Hawkeye? Anybody they can use that modern bow for, anyway. It would be especially nice for the first Avengers Hawkeye, who could use a little detail like that. Maybe one day he'll have one in an Avengers Assemble set. Say, why haven't we gotten an Avengers Assemble Hawkeye yet? His design in that is different and cool and him and Black Widow are the only ones yet to be in a cartoon-based set. They did say that it looked surprisingly "organic". Hm...
  19. Here's the deal: whine all you want to, there's still always a massive dead zone of news every year that we have to fill, or else the thread dies off. When there's nothing to talk about that's precisely relevant to the title of the thread, we find something bordering on relevant to fill the space. Unless you expect us to spend the next months discussing a generic Spider-Man polybag, deal with it.
  20. lol Why is Batman the only one with the trademark?
  21. It's like the Electro set, really. An unofficial tie-in (read as: making copious amounts of money off of a movie they have nothing to do with and skating by Sony's marketing bills )
  22. Are we sure that they won't be canon? None of them interfere with the Marvel canon anymore than any other solo Marvel movie, and Sinister Six is still going to production unhindered. We've seen Marvel recast at least twice without ditching that canon (Bruce Banner and Rhodey). They never specified this as a reboot either. It's certainly not hard to believe that they wouldn't reboot, but until I hear otherwise from an official source, I'm assuming Amazing canon is still canon. I'd say Rhino was made a mechsuit more for the sake of saving money, with his ASM2 appearance as an excuse for it.
