  1. Why would any kid want a Tony Stark in a t-shirt when they could have an actual supervillain? SAME. That suit is going to be my new main Iron Man suit when I get ahold of it. So hype.
  2. It's actually the CMF Trick R Treater's torso, but something like that might be more fitting.
  3. Just got the Ghost Rider set today and figured I'd give Blazing Skull a shot!
  4. War Machine and Falcon were in a movie alongside 9 other actual superheroes, Ant-Man got only one set (and was clearly dealing with a different sort of script, with that Hank Pym figure). BvS's sets were hiding a lot of stuff like that from spoilers, and you can't exactly make a set out of a confused Bruce Wayne sitting at his desk while the Flash yells at him. Homecoming has 3 people in it with actual costumes (that we know of), that being Spidey, Vulture, and Shocker. Even if they somehow only make one set for this movie (which I still find a ridiculous concept; Guardians is getting 3, but this is Spider-Man we're dealing with) that's enough to fill the fig count. It looks like he's gonna function a lot like Crossbones in Civil War, and he managed to get a set. Supervillain variety is golden when there's absolutely no superhero variety.
  5. And kids just lose it over Killer Moth and Blue Beetle? Besides, if we're supposed to expect kids to only buy sets if they recognized the characters before there was a major motion picture then we'd never get anything. If Ant-Man can get a set, Wonder Woman oughta be getting twenty, but one has to be certain. I'd say that they're going to follow Ghostbusters' marketing and merchandising strategy: f*** gender specificity. They sold those toys with packaging and ads that were gender-neutral, just focusing on the license, and they actually sold significantly more than was expected. LEGO followed that, too, making a Ghostbusters set for the movie that was sold alongside the main line of sets and with minifigures, not minidolls. We have precedent for this from Warner Brothers, too: there were a good handful of Wonder Woman-themed toys for BvS that were sold in the same sort of packaging and right alongside all the rest of the BvS merch. So yeah, no, there's no way we won't get one single Wonder Woman movie set sold alongside the rest of the DC Superheroes wave. Sorry, that was a little aggressive.
  6. No, but it's pretty safe to say we'll get one. If there's a villain with a legitimate costume, they're probably going to stick him into a set, especially with so few "super" characters in the movie (really just Spider-Man, Vulture, Shocker, and an Iron Man cameo).
  7. I'm not sure if this is going to fall over the oh-so-subtle line between on and off topic, but we've got our first look at Shocker in Homecoming, and it looks like we'll be getting a figure that looks like him, but maybe isn't quite the Shocker minifigure you'd been hoping for.
  8. I think DC's movies don't lend themselves to sets quite as well. The only real missed set opportunity for BvS was Doomsday, but there really wouldn't be much there to build, and I doubt too many kids would be interested in a set where Superman stands in the middle of an exploding government building lol Civil War, on the other hand, had a dozen action pieces and characters. Suicide Squad sort of got sets, with the Deadshot and Killer Croc sets, but you can't exactly market a product to kids with the word "suicide" on it without getting some nasty letters. Justice League will definitely get plenty of sets with 6 heroes, a colorful (in the metaphorical sense) villain, and a nice swarm of generic goons in the Parademons.
  9. Still sounds like a heck of a lot of red tape to go through just to put a dog's head on a human body. A lot of those characters are barely in the show, but I'm sure that we'll wind up seeing Miss Martian, Hawkgirl, Cheetah, and Killer Frost sooner than later. If I were you, I'd start looking forward to the JLA cartoon, that's gonna get us a lot of variety in our sets. I'm willing to bet that if the Dark Knight Rises can get a set, and that Ant-Man and Doctor Strange can get sets over on the Marvel side of things, we can definitely fit one good Wonder Woman set in there. This is the first major female-led superhero movie of the decade, so the merchandising is really going to be held to high standards and will likely set the bar for future female-led blockbusters. I'd say that if they don't do a Wonder Woman set, the Internet on the whole is going to get very, very upset. The good news is, usually those mid-sized "you only get one" movie-based sets are really good, so there's something to look forward to.
  10. You mean their most iconic outfits or their look from the show? Because we already have minifig versions of all of these characters in their usual costumes, save for Bumblebee. That is, assuming you don't mean literally every character, in which case you'd better be prepared to wait awhile if you want the Female Furies and Lena Luthor lol
  11. Here's Mr. Element! Not my best, but not my worst. Also wanted to share this King Shark from Assault on Arkham that LordAllo made And, uh... my version
  12. Isn't there a rule about Lego using certain parts from licenses in other sets? I'm pretty sure the head of Scooby-Doo would fall into that category. I'm fairly certain it'll wind up being a big dumb cutesy-looking dog with some kind of cape or S-collar.
  13. Really? That's just mean. They've gotta reconcile this.
  14. I'll admit, it's very unlikely given that the inclusion of the same character more than once a wave is usually reserved for headlining Avengers and goons, but it's the best outcome I can think of that wouldn't be a massive overthrowing of Lego's policies on what pieces are their own pieces. I gotta be honest, if they gave us a new Rocket mold and a simple face print on the little twig they used for Groot in the Rocket polybag, I'd be satisfied. I can't think of too many ways for Lego to make Groot in about any size without him looking just awful.
  15. And that's where my second concern comes in: I don't necessarily want my Kamala to be embiggened at all times, and no other arm is going to have the printing for the bracer unless they provide one, and I don't know how they would do that. Save for potentially putting her in another set (she IS supposed to be a more major character this season) and giving her stretched out legs or something instead.
  16. The problem with that is that, again, Kamala has a bracer, so if they extended the arm at the hand, her bracer would be halfway up her arm which wouldn't look quite right. Here's an poorly-made illustration, because I don't think I'm explaining this very well. Ooo, I hope it's a green one! That would make for a much more interesting figure.
  17. The problem with it being an accessory is that Kamala has that bracer on her arm, so the printing can't win there. I just hope she doesn't JUST have stretchy arms, because I want regular ones for a more default look. I doubt I'll get that lucky, because that would mean either including extra arms (which Lego doesn't even seem to consider separate parts from the torsos) or a second torso (which would probably be expensive for them and by extension us).
  18. DC Superhero Girls? Yeah, we've had Flash, Cyborg, and Green Lantern. I don't think Aquaman's showed up anywhere, I know Batman hasn't (even to the point where Batgirl's origin has nothing to do with him) and Superman maybe got name dropped somewhere in Supergirl's stuff but I don't remember it. Don't give them any ideas!! The book mentions her just slightly ("Shout out to my little sister, who was my inspiration for my first big mission! With this suit she built, I took down the top supers in Metropolis!") so I'd imagine they have some intention of using her at some point, but giving her a slot over a character they've actually had a run in with AND is infinitely more iconic seems like a major waste.
  19. For Caitlin's torso, I'd personally go with either this or this. She doesn't wear a lab coat terribly often, but I think it's something more recognizable for her. If that doesn't jive, you can try any number of blues and greys, since she wears a lot of cooler colors (because of course she would lol) I've seen a lot of people use Star Lord's head for Eddie Thawne and I think it works pretty well. LEGO doesn't give you a lot of head options for Iris, so you're basically stuck with Storm's. Her torso provides a lot of options, so I'd just try a bunch of different female torsos until you hit something you like, since she wears so many different sorts of outfits. I'd look around the darker options from the Friends line for hair. This is definitely your best choice for Joe's head, and I'd go with one of these two options for his torso (1) (2). For a more on-duty Joe, there's this torso and his crime-fighting hat I think the best option for Diggle's hair is Finn's here. You could also probably get away with making him bald, though. As for Felicity, I intend on using this torso and probably Scarlet Witch's legs. I made a CW Black Canary that I thought was pretty alright. If you want a mask, you're pretty much SOL. Hopefully that helps!
  20. I just think the gray could be really bland and boring. At least the head print might make it useful for some custom figures.
  21. I'm hoping we see this guy's face in the figure, because otherwise it's going to be a pretty boring one. Maybe they'll use a visor-less Iron Man helmet and treat the head like the Scooby Doo ones?
  22. On one hand, I wouldn't mind that, because I could get some real mileage out of his head. On the other, I'd really prefer something new, preferably with goggles.
  23. I'd say the blonde boy could be Flash, since he doesn't really wear a mask all that often. Could be just a generic civilian, though. Steve Trevor hasn't appeared in the show at all yet, at least not that I remember. Granny Goodness and the Female Furies were the big bads of the D2V movie they did, so I'd say it's Granny Goodness and not Lena Luthor (who also hasn't appeared, while Lex has been confirmed to appear at some point). I'll definitely get Krypto, so long as he's not one of the big, obnoxious animal molds like the Friends line uses. The Female Furies also sound pretty tantalizing, especially since their hair is one of the hardest things to purist. Oh, do you know what the new Mr. Freeze looks like at all?
  24. Has anybody considered using some of Echo Zane's parts to make the Doom Patrol's Robotman?
