  1. If you're looking for a masked female head, you're gonna have a bad time. All we've got is Captain Marvel, Harley Quinn, Katana, and sort of Catwoman, if I'm not mistaken.
  2. They used the entirety of the Female Furies on the show, along with Granny Goodness, for the sake of using female villains (with the added benefits of making your big bad an unassuming old lady). Interestingly enough, Lashina is one of the only major ones they didn't use. They did use Big Barda (who changed her ways and join the side of the angels by the end of the special) so we could very well get a Big Barda hairpiece from this wave sooner than later.
  3. Then that decision is REALLY strange. They don't even look all that different.
  4. You can really tell when these guys care about an IP. I bought the Adventure Time packs and the Ghostbusters story pack, and dear lord. All the Adventure Time stuff is such a perfect love letter to the show with details and touches that were totally unnecessary but absolutely wonderful, from Finn's swords, to the music, to the characters, everything they could've done with it, they did. The Ghostbusters stuff, on the other hand, really just feels like they watched the movie once and thought "Eh, they'll probably like it if we mention wantons or something". It really feels like one they made out of necessity and not passion, which is understandable but disappointing. The Powerpuff Girls and Teen Titans Go portals look really nice, so much so that I'm not dreading their inclusion quite so much. Is Cyborg able to access the TTG world right now or will that not be available until the TTG packs come out?
  5. Crap, there's another 2 sets I have to buy! The Lashina one I'll probably pass on, since Krypto really won't fit in with my figures and Lashina's not exactly a character I'm dying for, especially in this form. The Bumblebee set looks better than a lot of main series sets, and if nothing else, the Wonder Woman set has some fun parts. It's interesting that they decided to make a new Wonder Woman hair piece instead of the old one. I haven't tried, do some regular minifig hair pieces not work on the minidolls? I think that was just a guess.
  6. I can't remember, are the Lego Batman Movie sets okay to talk about here? Because that Arkham and Batcave are clearly part of a scheme for Lego to trick me into giving them all of my money by making products I want with all my heart and soul.
  7. Batman Beyond is actually called Batman of the Future in Europe, Latin America, Australia, and India, for whatever reason.
  8. Wow, those are actually kinda really cute?? Like, I might buy the school if it's not too pricey, and that Batgirl one looks better than the actual character design from the show. The cafe is tempting if for no other reason than Steve Trevor's hair, which is a part I've wanted an extra of for ages. Why doesn't Supergirl have a cape, though? The problem with that is the concept of all the different colors with all their differing effects is too complicated to be explained through the back of the box, y'know? If the show made a really really big deal about it, maybe that would work, but so far they haven't.
  9. Seriously? I could've swore that I saw a clip or something with her in it. That's such a weird place to draw the line for that show in terms of Hulk characters. Sorry about that! I think the problem with including Crimson Dynamo instead is that the whole set would be pretty monochromatic at that point. Red Iron Man, red Lola, Crimson Dynamo, just too much red. Not great from an aesthetic standpoint, which is not great from a marketing standpoint.
  10. That is an excellent Beast Boy, especially! That torso is great for the Johns-era suit but with a sleeker simplicity that really fits the character. I really love that Question. Definitely the perfect alternative for those that don't want to damage capes to make a trenchcoat. Zatanna's fantastic, too!
  11. I like that idea, but it seems a little unlikely for a few reasons. One: DC Superhero Girls focuses a lot more on Wonder Woman than it has Supergirl, at least so far. Two: they're all different colors, and even kids will know Kryptonite is green (that is, unless, they make a big enough deal out of the other colors of Kryptonite, which also seems unlikely).
  12. She's also a recurring character on Hulk and the Agents of SMASH, which is probably more relevant to her inclusion.
  13. I was hoping my town might get them in early, but alas, I'm waiting like I'm supposed to. I did preorder the Ghostbusters Story Pack, though, and I'm gonna try to pick up an Adventure Time one if they're in stock. The guy at Gamestop said they only ever send them two or three of each pack and that I should preorder to be safe. If any of them are going to get swept up, I'd imagine it would be the ones based on the very popular cartoon that's still on-air and is a first for Lego. Jeez, Babs, you over-achiever!
  14. Don't tell her I said this, but I think we're dealing with Bizarro Batgirl: her utility belt is on upside down!
  15. Those crystal creatures are...strange. Some of the new molds look nice, though. I might actually wind up buying a couple of these sets at some point. Freeze looks to be mostly same-old-same-old. The white hands seem to indicate that it won't be the exact figure we got last time, though. Oh, hey, Bumblebee IS gonna be in a set! I thought she was being left out?
  16. I totally forgot to link the Agents of SHIELD figs I posted on Flickr Tuesday night! I'm already working on some improvements, but it's tough finding the right pieces. I'd really like a better torso for Simmons, especially, and maybe better hair.
  17. I'm certain the setting doesn't have nearly as much to do with it as the two other major DC movies coming next year (The LEGO Batman Movie and Justice League). Marvel's got the same thing going on: too many movies, not enough room for sets, so some get less attention.
  18. Super glad to hear some details on Kamala's arms, though! I'd imagine that, if they're using flex tubes, that the hands are probably bigfig fists? I'd still really like normal arms for her, especially if they're as long as Sci says, but that seems a tad unlikely at this point. I'm unbelievably excited to get this set, though. Ms. Marvel is my second favorite Marvel character (right after Squirrel Girl), I'm starting to get the feeling I got when I saw Robin in the first wave of DC sets a few years ago With as surprising as they've been lately, and with Marvel seeming to lighten up on those boundaries (we did just get a whole X-Men Legends series, after all, and they're working with Fox on X-Men tv shows) I wouldn't call a Fantastic Four set all that farfetched. I wouldn't expect to see another one for a long time after that, but one will come sooner or later. If nothing else, I think the X-Men will start showing up a bit more.
  19. Marvel doesn't make Fantastic Four merch or much X-Men merch because a chunk of the profits go to Fox, so they just focus on making stuff that will sell just as well AND get them the grand total of the profits. It's very corporate, but it makes sense. I certainly have to wonder if they do have plans to give us the Fantastic Four soon, though. In the past few waves we've seen them give us new molds for stretchy arms, flaming heads, and transparent limbs. At this point, the only thing that would require a new mold is, well, the Thing. Although, they did kind of give us the Fantastic Four already..
  20. Hell yes!! Glad to see this written in stone! I hope we actually see the movie's big bad in it, unlike the Doctor Strange set. Granted, we still don't know who that is yet, but I know I'm not the only one desperate for a Wonder Woman villain to finally get a figure. I'd imagine it would be Diana, Steve, and the villain, Steve probably in a biplane of some sort, with a touch of scenery for a fight between Wonder Woman and Mystery Bad Guy. Three? That's a bit small, but definitely a relief! It's a lot easier to shell out for 3 sets than 5 or 6 of them, especially for characters I want so badly. Cool thing is, with three sets and seven figures we're definitely going to see, it'll be a really nice variety throughout! We might manage to only get two Batman appearances
  21. That's weird that all of the villains are just generic goons. I might actually wind up buying some of these, though. They sound pretty neat-o.
  22. Old news, pal. Unless you know something beyond the invisible motorcycle, Krypto, and the characters we're getting, we're on the same page. I hope they put goggles on Freeze sooner than later, that's for sure. Whether it's a Juniors set or not, I need a good Mister Freeze minifig. My last one spent the better part of his life with a blank white head while his default one sat on the shoulders of my custom Deadman.
  23. That Atom is particularly dope, dude. I definitely have to get that Space Cap figure now!
  24. Tell me about it. Really? I've gotta find one of those stores, because I'm dying for that Lightning Lad figure.
