  1. There's always surprise polybags. Something like they did with Rocket, Winter Soldier, and Martian Manhunter would be suuuper nice, especially since it's really just two new prints. I'd like to believe that Spidey 2099 is on the way, since TT used the web cape from the Halloween CMF line on him instead of just making it an in-game effect, but they've gotten better and better at imitating Lego's designs. At least we know Gwen's off the table, since she's already been a big focus in the new cartoon's merchandising. I'd say the DIY suit, Gwenpool, and Cowboy Cap are pretty likely.
  2. Aw man, those are all sets I've been really desperate to get! It's interesting that the Sanctum is disappearing so quickly. Could that be taken as solid evidence that we'll be getting Doctor Strange again soon, most likely in Infinity War's sets?
  3. I was thinking the same thing for Jessica, but the massive bit of exposed yellow kinda turned me off of it. That new hood would look pretty sick on Green Arrow, and the torso could even be used for Oliver in the Season 4 Arrow opener, where he's jogging The new CMFs have so many useful parts, though! Jay's scarf could be pretty great for a Red Locust minifig. I don't know what exactly I'd use the blue fish girl's hair for but I know there a couple figs that could use something precisely that punk (Sin?). The Sushi Chef has white legs with black boots, which I don't think we've gotten before but are always useful. Misako's hair could work really well for Roulette. While not a superhero, the guitar player's legs would be downright perfect for a Roxie Richter fig from Scott Pilgrim. I can't wait to see what new bits we get in the next batch of pictures, because I'm getting super inspired!
  4. Now this- this would be ideal. All the collector's benefits, but without depriving us of some of that same satisfaction. If we wanted to, we could track down all the parts and build Ultron's Throne or the Action Comics set, but we still wouldn't have the official box or instructions. Shit, just add in a plate or something with an exclusive print that certifies it as a collector's item, kinda like what the Quinjet and Tumbler sets did. Everybody wins that way.
  5. I doubt that much will change. It's likely just a longer runtime, or even just broadcasting the shorts in half-hour bundles for a season. We haven't heard anything at all about DCSHG for next year that I'm aware of, although there are three really killer new sets coming out this year!
  6. I'm liking Duncan's train of thought, but we got Atom the year Legends came out, so I'm betting we'll see some representation from DC's newest show. DC - Black Lightning Marvel - Korg I'm thinking Marvel might be a step ahead of us, and is gonna start promoting Thor by then. I'm thinking that mostly so I can have a unique guess, even though Cowboy Cap, DIY Spider-Man, or somebody from whatever their big headlining comic event this year is are the safest possible bets. Of course, this is assuming we actually get exclusives this year, since Sir Gareth seems to be indicating that that might not be the case..
  7. I love just about everything about that Aquaman figure. It always makes me love it a little extra. A little arm printing and a different skin tone would make that minifig downright flawless.
  8. Okay, so, the least drastic things to infer from Sir Gareth's comment are either 1. There won't be exclusive minifigures this year or 2. He's no longer being informed about SDCC exclusive minifigures
  9. Duncan, I love those Robins!! And using Wonder Woman's legs to get Rebirth Supes' weird boot thingies is genius!
  10. The X-Mansion and Baxter Building are both in New York City, though, we would've seen those in the flyover of New York (any of them). Besides, it's such a hot-button issue among Marvel fans that they would've wanted to mention it by now. They're pink now? That bothers me a bit, if for no other reason than breaking Lego tradition. I'll get over it. I think Gwenpool would be a pretty brilliant way to go with that, and she'll make for some fun dialogue! I kinda hope they go with cowl-down look, since it's so much nicer, but I don't mind either. Oo, yeah, I forgot that he said that they didn't give them any character restrictions. I still don't see why they wouldn't want to get out in front of that concern if they were in the game, though. They need to clear this issue up, ASAP. I'd imagine that Gwenpool would take over Wade's -pooling duties in the game on Marvel's request, whether he's in it or not. Marvel may not be actively working against Fox's characters, but they'd still want to push their new character over Fox's established one. So long as they're still putting Frank "Glorified Serial Killer" Castle in these games, nobody can be ruled out for not being "kid friendly" enough.
  11. I'd like to see Ryan Choi's Rebirth costume, if any. That's a great design, much better than Choi's usual duds. Most likely, though, we'd just get a figure of Ray in his traditional suit, which I'm 200% on board for.
  12. I'm sure if the X-Men or Fantastic Four were in the game, we'd've seen the X Mansion or Baxter Building in the map. I'm hoping that even if we don't get the X-Men proper, they'll at least include the young Cyclops from Champions. For it to be a character reveal that we knew about since day one (they had the whole character select on screen?? who were they kidding??) I wish we would've seen more of what Medusa could do. I wouldn't worry much about them leaving out Ghost Rider, since they tend to include just about everybody who has a fig out there, though if you're particularly worried, they specifically mentioned that they haven't nailed down a finished roster yet and that if you have any character requests to tweet @LegoMarvelGame, and that they read them all. We've seen that process in action before with Lego Batman 3, and they altered America Chavez in Lego Avengers because of the fan reaction, so I believe them. I've already made my pitch for Red Locust (can you tell how much I love the Champions yet? )
  13. He's not inherently violent, though. Like, if you took away his murderous tendencies, he'd still be the same character, whereas someone like the Punisher just wouldn't be the Punisher unless he was all about the killing of things. I guess that's the benefit of mercenaries: every "wanted dead" can have an "or alive" at the end. To get back on topic: after catching up on JLA, they've been giving the Atom a lot more attention lately, as well. I'd say between that and Legends of Tomorrow (as well as being a more-or-less major member of the Justice League) it's pretty likely he's coming down the pipeline. I don't know how often we get retailer exclusive sets, but I know those are usually the last ones we find out about, and I wouldn't rule out him being in one of those next year (or just in the mass-release wave after that).
  14. Thank you! That's really interesting. It says a lot about the universe as a whole, I think, that they changed those masks. The ones in the concept art look like the ones they sell in toy stores, whereas the movie ones look like cheap Halloween costumes, which would imply that the in-universe Avengers marketing is a lot more public domain. At least that's what I make of it. Marvel's not exactly the most consistent about how big a deal superheroes are within the MCU. Anyway, that's a bit of a tangent, but it definitely makes sense why they went with the masks they did in the ATM set based on that. You'd be just as well using actual Iron Man helmets for the other two.
  15. That is fantastic!! Tilting the window down was a really nice touch. I've been wanting to add a little bit of extra detail to my Sanctum, too, and there's a lot of inspiration to be had here!
  16. Oh, yeah, that'll probably put a damper on that
  17. Aw, hey! That's mine! ^_^ Thank you!
  18. Oh man, that would be the biggest missed opportunity ever. I think if your Cyborg can't get away with the occasional excited "boo-yah!" you've written him wrong. Maybe it's just me, but I'm always confused when people talk about Lobo like he's too raunchy or R-rated to be adapted in things? I've only ever seen Lobo in cartoons, and he always comes off as basically "dirtbag Hulk Hogan in space" (with absolutely NO disrespect to the Main Man). I know he's done some gruesome and awful stuff in the comics, but it's never been unsurmountable in my eyes, not like someone like the Punisher, where those horrible things are literally the mission statement of the character. This is probably a little off-topic, though
  19. His whole arm shifts around when he's got the gun going, though. It's really growing on me. The sculpt looks a lot less erratic than I thought it was. Worst case scenario, just replace the arm with a matching silver one, and have one brand-new piece in the bag!
  20. That's decidedly not purist, they erased the mouth! Either way, it looks pretty great! Just proof that they easily could have made a costumed Shocker with minimal new printing. Could you link to that? My Wal-Mart's got the Rey's Speeder set for $5 on clearance, so maybe keep an eye out for that!
  21. Well, yeah, but I doubt they'll mold an entirely new piece for that. It's not like including hair to swap out with headgear is terribly uncommon. I think it's pretty definite that we'll get him, given he's confirmed to be the movie's big bad, but that's a discussion for another forum.
  22. Given DC's obsession with putting Deathstroke in everything I wouldn't be surprised if he's in Justice League, Batman, Suicide Squad 2, and f$*# it, they're probably writing him into Aquaman as we speak
  23. To be fair, that was just shot as a screen test, so it's not much indication as to where exactly he'll be. I'm wondering if that new Iron Man helmet is considered a license-specific mold? We haven't seen it outside of Marvel sets, and a fresh print on it would've made a nice accessory in the Flying Fox set as Cyborg's mask for flying. It would be pretty perfect for a helmeted Deathstroke (although I prefer the masked version, personally). Shazam is absolutely not cancelled. DC has yet to cancel a single one of their announced movies. As a matter of fact, they've got Dwayne Johnson signed on for both the Shazam movie and now a solo Black Adam movie.
  24. I'm not crazy about any of the current options for Killmonger, personally, but if we wind up getting his hair in a set, it might be perfect for a Static figure!
  25. Does anybody know when exactly TT's doing their E3 stuff?
