  1. That's what I'm thinking, too. I don't know why else they'd go with him over, say, Gwenpool or Howard himself, characters Marvel is actively publishing. I figure they'd wanna get more use of that head mold anyway. (Come to think of it, I wonder if they'll do a DuckTales theme..?)
  2. I love the Superman set! Lobo looks fantastic, as does his bike! The trap is pretty neato, too, but that's not what anyone's buying the set for. Krypto looks great, my only problem being the default stern face. He's a dog. Let him enjoy it. I think the Scooby-esque mold is pretty brilliant. The big disappointment for me is Superman, who's exactly the same as ever but without his iconic hair. They make a mold exclusively for him, why would they not use it? Cyborg's helicopter looks better than I expected it to, but that was a low bar. The Freeze Car is underwhelming, though it reminds me of the classic Mr. Freeze figure in some odd way. The figures are the real selling point, obviously, and that should do it! The new Flash prints are wonderful, and Reverse Flash is great! Boot printing would've been nice, and I don't get why they couldn't've just used the legs that they just made, since Flash isn't quite a perfect counter to Reverse Flash anyway. Cyborg's not quite as good-looking as the previous one, and his helmet printing doesn't match up with the Rebirth design they're pulling from, thanks to the blue dot, but it's nice to have. Killer Frost isn't what any of us were expecting, but she's starting to grow on me a little bit. I don't like how dark the blue they used for her skin is, and I think they should've used the coat from the Rebirth outfit they're using. The biggest let down is her hair, though, which is nowhere near as punk as it oughta be, despite having multiple other hair molds that would've worked perfectly in white. As a Flash fan, this is getting picked up quick. That Lex mech is definitely going to take the old one's place on my shelf. The Lex minifigure is also my absolute favorite. Cheetah looks great, but some arm printing would've been appreciated. That Wonder Woman is my new default Wonder Woman for certain, with all the best qualities of the DCEU Diana but with a bit more comic book faithfulness. It would've been nice to get her bracers printed on, even if it was the same piece DCEU Wonder Woman used, but that's at least manageable. I don't like Rebirth Batman's costume, but the minifig looks rather nice and is a nice variant to have, although I don't know why he has Affleck's stubble. Firestorm looks pretty great. I'm confused as to why they would use Jason Rusch instead of Ronnie, who's a major character in Justice League Action, or even Jax from Legends of Tomorrow, unless it simply is because he's the only Firestorm to not require any special legs I don't mind too much, though, since it's easy to modify what they gave us to fit the Firestorm of our choosing. Flash head and old flaming head piece for Ronnie, Hank Pym legs and some black or red hands for Jax. Overall, this is a pretty nice wave that makes my nerdy little heart happy! A lot more new prints and pieces than I expected, even if they don't all hit the mark.
  3. That's only because you really don't see animated comic book movies. Big Hero 6 is the only major example, and that one got a ton of toys. Given Marvel owns Spidey's merch rights entirely, I expect we'll see at least a loose tie-in set if there's room.
  4. I was actually thinking the opposite, that you could probably get a good Wally out of the Reverse Flash torso with probably an Iron Fist head. This is a topic for another thread, but I think we should be seeing Kid Flash sooner than later. Just speculation. Ooo, that looks perfect!
  5. Lego would have to start accepting payment in human organs
  6. Wow, I'm genuinely surprised to find a diehard Fantastic Four fan. I'm sorry about your luck...in general. 3 awful movies and the practical banishment of your favorite characters has to suck. That, too, is debatable
  7. That's what I meant! Darn. The Blackbird Wolverine torso would've made a nice Shocker torso had it been plain yellow and not that goldish one. :/
  8. That would take Fox being willing to sell, which doesn't seem likely, what with all the X-movies coming and a third attempt at a decent Fantastic Four (they're taking inspiration from the Incredibles, so fingers crossed it goes well). All this is a topic for another thread, though.
  9. Wow, that's a couple different kinds of weird..? They've got promo images of the new Flash, surely? And why are they all so angry? Even the Batman art is dated??
  10. I got one that I tried to base off of the Firefly design in Batgirl/Robin: Year One. I'll try to post a picture later, but it's a black stormtrooper armor with dark gray hands and plain black legs, a plain black head but with the Hank Pym Ant-Man helmet, and the same wings that Duncan used in his. Are Shocker's arms plain yellow or the goldish yellow they tend to use all the time in superhero figs?
  11. Is the lack of the X-Men and the Four really THAT big a deal? I mean, I'm bummed that some of my favorites like Gambit and Nightcrawler aren't making the cut, but there's still, like, the rest of the Marvel universe in here? I get being upset, but skipping out entirely seems a bit overdramatic.
  12. Here's mine! It's an old, kinda crappy picture, so if you need me to I can upload a better one.
  13. Probably budget? There's almost exclusively new prints in this wave, and a lot of new molds, too. I'd say that had a lot to do with it, that and the fact that they could get away with not doing it. I would've at least liked to have that new crown-y thing printed on the head, but I guess the head's more versatile the way it is.
  14. Betcha wish y'all didn't sell off Iceman after that sick burn, don'tcha, Feige?
  15. They were upfront about it with Lego Avengers, and I can't imagine that holding off on that reveal is gonna keep any X-Men fans on board when it releases. Even then, though, if this game's success is that reliant on fans who exclusively care about the X-Men then they would absolutely include them and put them in the marketing. There's no reason to hold off on saying "no", and they said they weren't denied any character they asked for. I'd say that the X-Men might wind up being DLC. That keeps the profits easy to cut between rights holders and Marvel's home court in the limelight. EDIT: I just read that article, and OUCH. That's a low blow, and I can't figure out how they're even justifying that to themselves. That is clearly a complete load.
  16. That would certainly be ideal. I think the Brickheadz are certainly better than minifigures, though. Yeah, I know exactly what you're referring to. Anybody looking to avoid such information probably shouldn't dig too deeply into Comicbook.com, specifically. Yeah, but we'd heard about the minifigures at this point. Besides, Lego's clearly trying to put Brickheadz on par with Funko's Pop figures, so it would make sense for the plan going forward to be highly collectable Brickheadz over minifigures.
  17. The fact that he can't say anything on the subject is really curious. If they weren't included, I don't know why they couldn't just say that. Secrecy like that outside of the movies usually indicates that they're hiding a "yes". Maybe they'll be in here after all?
  18. This is what I believe was meant by "The times, they are a-changin'." At least, I hope that's what he meant..
  19. Put it on that Chef Joker, so that Lego has to see just how sad they made him by leaving him out the first time!! #LetJokerCook2017!!
  20. Whose head is that??
  21. I've never heard of Blood Rose, but I bet if you take off that bandanna, you'd have a damn fine Madame Rouge from Teen Titans!
  22. I just saw someone use one of those Scout Trooper helmets from Star Wars with Mighty Micro Bane's head backwards, so that the tube-y bit makes his eyepiece. I think that's the best I've seen anyone do with making a purist Deadshot mask.
  23. WHY WOULD YOU EVEN SUGGEST THAT MY PRECIOUS DOREEN WOULD BE VICTIM TO SUCH A TRAVESTY YOU MONSTER I'd say Black Adam's too big a villain to get tossed under the bus like that. If DC wants to get two whole movies out of the guy, they're probably gonna want to put him in a set, too.
  24. Oh man, if they put their Justice League entirely in an expensive Fortress of Solitude set, my heart would shatter, and so would my wallet. I'd have to buy that. There's just no way around it. Are we sure it's a Lego Batman Movie D2C or could it just be a Batman D2C?
