  1. I wouldn't be surprised at all if we see more sidekicks and such show up in sets next year, especially Kid Flash. Between Titans, Young Justice Season 3, Teen Titans Go, and the two separate Titans comics going right now, the Titans are real moneymakers with a lot of marketing potential. Kid Flash seems especially likely, with some presence in most of the above, plus two other comics and a regular role in the Flash now. To be fair, though, they did kinda do loose tie-ins for the Arrowverse. Our first big Justice League wave featured a Flash set with two of his Rogues, Green Arrow, and Hawkman, all of which had prominent Arrowverse roles around that time. Then, of course, there was the Brainiac Attack set that came with nearly the entire superheroic Supergirl cast, and even this wave is featuring characters that would likely be overlooked if not for the CW shows. I'd love to see a dedicated wave, though, with characters like Atom, Vixen, Arsenal, Vibe, Commander Steel, and Mr. Terrific! Even Vibe, though, I think has a decent chance of showing up next wave. Imaginext just rolled out a Vibe figure, and he has been interestingly left out of the SDCC exclusive ring. Raven's an absolute no-brainer at this point. Honestly I'm surprised they didn't pick her over Starfire for the Jokerland set. I'm betting if we see any Titans next year, we're looking at Raven, the new Aqualad, and Kid Flash (and it's probably a good coin flip as far as which Wally we'll get: Pre-52 or Post-52). That still seems so odd to me. They made a whole animated special centered around them, then released just two of them as exclusive figures with middling to no fanfare. There's got to be some executive reason she didn't happen, but I don't know when we'll ever get the chance for her to happen again. The Legion's been struggling to get its foot in the door since Crisis, and unless one of the tv shows finally manages to do them (and not just show off the ring) and do them well, I don't think that's gonna change anytime soon.
  2. Ha! It really does look like a mustache! Cyborg doesn't impress me much, and I'm really bummed that Flash doesn't impress me more. Those reds are too dark, and there's definitely not enough variation in the color. Wonder Woman looks great, though!
  3. Honestly, me too! There are so many neat pieces in that scene both from a Lego perspective and a Batman one. Like, I really want the "I'm Not Batman" t-shirt, the Batman ice cream, the Batman action figure, the hat with the '66 Batman logo on it, and the torso with the The Batman logo on it (because nobody ever seems to acknowledge that one!). I wouldn't say no to the "Batman Begins by Brushing His Teeth" shirt either Plus it would be nice to get some general purpose flesh-tone heads, especially if they're as diverse as the kids in the movie!
  4. That's what I'm thinking, too. That printing really makes that helmet look like Hawkgirl's. I'm hoping that it just hadn't hit that stage of production yet, or that someone just grabbed a helmet from their personal collection. Precious_plastics confirmed that GA does have his trademark goatee, and that it just didn't show up on camera.
  5. If they don't do a bucket, they are wasting a perfectly good opportunity. Lord knows if I don't manage to find Zan I'll be replacing him with a bucket.
  6. Isn't that only like the third time they've done that ever? I didn't even realize it was side-of-head printing until you just pointed it out, though
  7. That can't be the Green Lantern head. TLBM's GL has a gap tooth, it's basically the only defining feature that separates him from the normal Green Lantern figure. We were clearly never gonna get the hair printing anyway, because that would have to carry over to the sides and Lego doesn't print like that. I think the goatee is just too light to make out in the photo, or maybe he was pulled before the printing process was finished (I mean, I'm assuming all these minifigure leaks stem from the factories). The lack of arm printing is a real bummer, especially when they're usually pretty faithful to the movie designs in these sets. Maybe the final release will have that too? I'm loving El Dorado, though! His legs would make for a nice traditional Hawkman, but this guy's staying in one piece for me for certain! Condiment King looks great, too, and I'm betting by that alternate face that he'll come with a hot dog Egghead looks wonderful, and it's nice to have our first ever(?) Vincent Price head!
  8. Did you hear that just now? That was my brain. It was E X P L O D I N G
  9. I'd say not, since the Lego Batman Movie will still have Batman-heavy sets on the shelves, and they have every reason to make a wider range of sets now. The Justice League movie, and the new Justice League cartoon are doing a lot to make non-Batman DC heroes marketable, so I'd expect this experiment to last a touch longer than one wave. If we get Batman sets, expect them to be team-up sets like Aquaman on Ice or Harvest of Fear.
  10. That Spider-Man is near-perfect!! That sticker really does make the figure!
  11. I can't say for certain what it was that convinced them to use those guys in the first game, but there's literally only the one reason to exclude them from the game, and it's merch rights. I'd be willing to bet that, since the first game came out around the time X-Men sets were happening, that Lego was under the impression that they needed them to sell the Marvel brand, or at least to sell that one set, so if you're gonna do one, there's no real downside to going all-in. Since then, X-Men sets haven't sold as well and they've proven that they don't need Fox's characters to make obscene amounts of cash. Just a theory, though.
  12. I've never had any luck with those cubes at my Target, but ordering online definitely seems like the best option, especially for just ten bucks!
  13. Not the point, but that's Colleen Wing, not Elektra. Given Matt's glasses are digitally colored, I'd be willing to bet that that sword isn't there by purist means.
  14. Holy crap, I didn't know Target still carried those?? I'm definitely hopping on that when I get paid! Thank you!!
  15. AW SICK As far as mass-released exclusives go, Electro-Suit Batman, Clark Kent, and Lightning Lad are my three most desperately wanted figures! It's so cool to see one of them get re-released, I just hope it pops up in the US and outside of Costco! I suppose either way it might lower the price on him in the aftermarket, though, so win-win?
  16. It's not about popularity, it's about licensing rights. Unlike Sony, Fox also bought a chunk of the merch rights for the X-Men and Fantastic Four, which means that if they put those guys in this game, they have to send a check to Fox. By excluding them, they get to keep all the revenue, and the rest of the Marvel Universe is big and beloved enough to sell the game without mutants or Baxter Building residents.
  17. B:tAS Two-Face had a blue face (which I also would be completely cool with). Tbh, I wouldn't mind TLJ Two-Face so long as he came in a set with properly nippled Batman and Robin minifigs
  18. It's as silly as it is cheap, my friend. Marvel's saving a ton in merch revenue by not including them or the mutants.
  19. Let's meet in the middle. How about a classic black and white suit with the green face? Just swap the heads around and everyone gets what they want! It's about time for a Two-Face rerelease anyway. Probably once the LBM sets start to get discontinued.
  20. You sick, sick man. I love you. XD
  21. Something interesting I just noticed: unlike the Scooby-Doo figure, Krypto's collar seems to be part of his head mold (the cape goes underneath it) which would imply to me that they intend to use that dog body for other dogs. I know it was mentioned somewhere that DCSHG would be getting Ace this summer, and an LBM set is getting Wonder Dog (although Wonder Dog in the movie uses a more classic dog mold). Seems like we might see more super-dogs in our future?
  22. You forgot the super jumper to launch their bodies into the cold, unforgiving vacuum of space! On a more serious note, those pieces actually seem prime for a good Lantern set. If the next 2018 wave is still pushing them, I'd bet we do see at least A Lantern somewhere. Wouldn't be surprised to see Atrocitus honestly, since he's had a whole JLA episode and is in the intro pretty significantly, which is true of all the other figures we're getting this winter.
  23. Ah, that makes sense! I don't keep up to well with the Friends sets. Either way, it's a cheap alternative.
  24. I wonder if there'd be room in the budget for a new blood-vomit mold? Gotta keep that Red Lantern trademark
  25. In an ideal world, I'd love to see sets like those new Classic boxes that have a variety of bricks in mostly one color, with each one coming with a matching Lantern (ex. Saint Walker in a blue box, Bleez in red, Larfleeze in orange, etc.) That way we'd effectively have an army-builder but also the iconic Lantern minifigs.
